Cover1 breaks down Allen's last drive against the Panthers
sven233 replied to HappyDays's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Crow might be a tad strong. He hasn't done anything yet in the NFL. It's way too early to tell. I was just making an objective observation in where he seems to be at now as compared to where he was in college because I did watch all of his games. That's all. He hasn't proven anything yet. That said, I like the track he is on and, in my opinion, seems to be ahead of where I thought he would be at this time. And nobody is more happy about that than me, along with every Bills fan out there, is. And also, just to be clear, I said on multiple occasions that Allen may indeed be the best QB to come out of this draft. He was, by far, the most naturally gifted and talented. But he also had the furthest to go in terms of being NFL ready based on his college games. With the terrible QB play that we have been witnessing for the last 20 years, I would have preferred someone a little more NFL ready at the time because I just want to finally watch a real NFL offense. With the little we have see to this point, it looks like we may finally get that. And the sooner Allen can be the one pulling the trigger, the better for all of us. -
Cover1 breaks down Allen's last drive against the Panthers

As someone that was very concerned about his base and footwork coming out of college, I have to say he has come a long way in a short amount of time. I watched every one of his games this year in college and, while I knew enough that there was unlimited potential there, I didn't want to go that route because I saw just how far he had to go. I didn't want the project even though I knew in the end he could be the best QB in the draft. That said, while I haven't been to every single practice, I have seen him practice and have watched his half multiple times against Carolina watching nothing but his footwork at times and I came away surprised how much better his base looked. And while he still has a ways to go, in my opinion, he is much further along at this point than I thought he could get to since his college season ended. This shows me the guy works at it and takes coaching well which is very important. While he will never lead the league in completion percentage, he has the ability to make plays from anywhere on the field. That's something we haven't seen here in many years. If the kid keeps working to become more consistent, I think we will all be very happy with the finished product. -
Question: Can passing accuracy issues be fixed?
sven233 replied to GreggTX's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If you told me right now that Josh Allen's career completion percentage was going to be 57%, but he was also going to average 2.2 TD's, 1 pick, and 250-275 passing yards per game, I think we'd all sign up for that now. He is a QB that is going to push the ball down the field. He is going to hit some big plays that maybe nobody else in the league can hit on and miss on some easy ones he shouldn't. But if he makes enough big plays per game to offset the misses and those plays result in points, I can deal with a lower completion percentage. If you have a QB that can make big plays down the field, that opens up other aspects of your offense. In the last several years, we haven't had an offense that teams had to respect more than 10-15 yards down the field. So yeah.....push the ball down the field, open up the field more to help your running game, etc., put up some big plays and that will more than offset 3-4% of completion percentage. -

2nd year..... First ever playing time in the NFL. He missed all of last year due to injury. So, last night was his first live action. -

Actually there was a bunch of us that did want to take him the 7th last year. Would have been a lottery ticket, but if you're gonna take a chance on a guy, he would have been a good one to have done it with. Who knows how it will pan out, but he is the type of guy I like to take flyers on. If it works, great, if not, it's a 7th and who cares. Poor decision and throw there from Kelly. Never should have thrown that one. If you do, you have to make sure it gets to the outside where only your WR has a chance. -

Chad Kelly might be the best QB the Broncos have. HA! Yeah, it's preseason, but he looks solid so far. Kelly with another TD..... Really nice throw there. -

Chad Kelly has looked very good so far. This Broncos and Vikings game is so much better than the Cardinals and Chargers. That games has been awful. -

That's about right..... Not getting a ton of help from his line at times as he has taken some sacks, but nothing to really write home about yet. -

Interesting Astro Tweet re: Beane

It is..... Like I said, I was just messing around. A lot of people on here are getting way to excited about something that won't happen. I just thought I would add some fuel to their fire for fun. -

Look....I know like everyone else here nothing is going to happen, especially with Mack, but just to stir the pot a bit, listen to the end of this interview with Beane from last week. Tasker brings up Mack and the fact that he didn't report to camp and that he could be unhappy. Beane laughs it off a bit before saying he can't comment on another player's status and quickly changes the topic. But just kicks, the question does seem to catch him off guard. Around the 13:33 mark. https://wgr550.radio.com/media/audio-channel/07-27-brandon-beane-one-bills-live Again.....this is just for fun since the rest of the topic has gone off on a Mack pipe dream. -
Look, there have been a few days that Allen has been the best QB on the practice field. Other days he has not. In order to change that, there really is only 1 thing Allen can do....Play well in Thursday's Preseason game against Carolina. I know he will most likely be with the 3's, but he will almost certainly get most of the 2nd Half. If Allen wants to get a step up in reps, then show well on Thursday and he will earn more opportunities. I get the feeling the coaching staff is going to put a lot of weight on his performance in live action. Even if the balls aren't complete, he needs to make the right decisions and go tot he right places. If WRs drop balls or whatever, he can still prove himself worthy of more if he is putting the ball where it is supposed to go. But make no mistake about it, Thursday is huge for Allen.

For anyone still interested, the Bills Twitter and stadium Twitter accounts posted this a little bit ago: New Era FieldVerified account @newerafield 59m59 minutes ago TODAY. Tickets are still available at The Bills Store: http://bufbills.co/Dk4E5V Sounds like anyone that still wants to go will be able to get in tonight! See everyone there! GO BILLS! PS. I don't think the distribution locations have any left, but the Bills Store does. I called all of the locations yesterday and they didn't have any, but as of earlier today, the Bills still have them.

Thanks again. Look forward to meeting you tomorrow! GO BILLS!

Hey..... That would be awesome! Thank you so much! I'll PM you.

I called all of those locations earlier..... They all said they don't have anymore. I even went to one of them early this morning. It was announced on WGR earlier that all tickets to the practice were distributed. The website wasn't updated that they were all out. Not sure why they are limiting the amount of people there when it is at the stadium itself. Plenty of room. Oh well. Hoping someone can help.

First, let me start by saying that I know this is probably not the right forum to post this request in, but with time running out, I needed a quick answer. I will delete this topic as soon as possible. That said, my wife and daughter went out of town earlier today and I have tomorrow night, unexpectedly, free. I immediately wanted to get to practice tomorrow night now that I could make it. I called around to all of the distributor locations for the tickets to tomorro's practice at the stadium, but they were all gone. I was just wondering if anyone on here has a ticket that they may not be using that they would be willing to pass along. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks and GO BILLS!
