For all we know, Allen deferred to Cook there. That is something Allen has done in the past and will do again. It's why players love him. He could have easily called his own number and he didn't. Class act.

12-0 and it feels like it should be 24-0. Just not finishing on offense and while the defense is pitching a shutout, it's not like they have been dominant. A couple of key turnovers have us still in control on the scoreboard, but it's not like the Jets haven't moved the ball. Have a lot to get better at in the second half. Now, I do want to say that you can tell we don't have our full playbook in. They are definitely holding things back for the Playoffs. There is not much jet or orbit motions, no designed QB runs, etc. Obviously, I agree with doing this as our only objective in this game should be to win it and stay healthy. I realize there are a lot of people out there that think we should have just gone all out these last couple weeks and let Allen continue to pile up stats for his MVP case, but at what cost do you want to do that? Look, I want Allen to win the MVP as much as anyone, but we can't help the way the schedule fell and what we are/aren't playing for and how much we have to press to win these last few games. As soon as the one seed vanished, so did our need to keep the pedal on the floor on offense. THe offense will look much different come the Playoffs. Go back and watch the Lions game just to see how much different this offense was in that game. They were going all out in that game and everything was on the table. Compare that to what our offense is calling now and it is basically a shell of what we will be running in a couple weeks.

Allen not getting much help. Big plays all day getting negated by penalties (legit or not) and drops like that. Someone has to step up and make a play. This game should basically be over by now.

Yup.... And when a team finally figures out all they have to do is run it consistently and pass on occasion, and the turnovers dry up, they have no answers. THis defense will be our downfall in the Playoffs once again.

I don't know..... If I'm the Jets and know that I am out of the race, I am not playing anyone that is remotely banged up or at risk for re-injury or perhaps making a current injury worse. I mean, there is literally nothing to gain for them by winning this game. Why risk some of your better players if you don't have to? This would be the perfect chance to get a look at some younger guys or players that have kind of been buried on the depth chart get a look. I mean, they have little chance of winning regardless, but as an organization, winning this game only hurts your draft position at this point. To me, when you have no shot at the Playoffs, you have to make every decision with the bigger picture in mind, not just a specific game. But, that's just me. They can do what they want.

I wish Coleman wasn't so easy to find on this list......unless he was much higher and on the other side of the chart. Ugh..... He is who he is. Can't separate consistently, but can make the contested catches on occasion. He's a fun guy to have around, but just as I felt about him in the draft, my mind hasn't changed. I don't think he will ever be a WR1. Still going to need that guy. Honestly, I wish he could be our 4th guy. WR1, WR2, Shakir (Slot), Coleman, Hollins, Samuel (eventually replaced). But, with the investment made in him, we better hope he becomes at least a serviceable WR2 which I think would be his ceiling. I just wish Beane would realize our best chance to win big is putting explosive weapons around Allen and not just count on Allen to elevate everyone else's play.

Yeah.....Samuel and Hamlin aren't playing for sure. But I wouldn't mind seeing what it looks like with Rapp and Bishop starting if there is a chance of it.

Hard to take away anything positive from this one. Just a "blah" type of game. I mean, the most redeeming quality of it was the win and, obviously, that is what ultimately matters. But there were some concerning injuries for sure. I mean, Allen said he's OK, but he always says that. Hopefully that's true. I did find one comment Allen made about the game interesting. I will have to go back and listen to the interview for the exact wording, but he almost made it sound like they went into this game with a somewhat limited playbook. He made some comment like there were some things to fix, but it was a fine line about doing things better and showing the complete playbook heading into the Playoffs. I mean, he obviously knows what they are and aren't doing more than we do, but the gameplan did look a little watered down today compared to what we have been seeing the last few weeks. There was some motion, but not a ton. You didn't see the WR screens and there were no designed Allen runs (good)! So, as "blah" as today was, perhaps some of that was by design. They figured they had enough in to win the game, which they did, and didn't have to get to creative to achieve that goal. So maybe, just maybe, there was somewhat of a reason for the outing we just saw. Hopefully, that was indeed part of the reason we weren't as sharp as we usually are.

The Bills should just zero blitz every play at this point.....

Not sure how to describe that half. I think uninspired might be the best way to put it. The defense still can't stop a nosebleed. The special teams still can't get through a game without doing something wrong. And, as it pertains to the offense? Well, I don't want to say it was awful because I have seen worse. There were some plays made, but there were several that were not. Just not executing. Allen hasn't be good, but his team isn't helping him much at all. I mean, Shakir has been great all season, but short armed that one at the end. He makes that play more times than not. And Allen has had a few opportunities to take off, but hasn't. He's got to make the Pats* pay for the coverage they are playing. I still think we will win this game, but man, the guys need to just stop going through the motions. Just no sense of urgency. That is on the players, but it is also on the coaches.
