  1. I don't know what's up with Diggs, but I hope he can play in the 2nd half. Been slowed since the first play of the game. Not sure if it is an ankle or what. Need that guy healthy, though.
  2. The Chargers should be using TOs, but I'm glad they're not......
  3. OK, offense...... it's been a bad half for the most part, but it's time to put the hammer down. Another 7 here would go a long way to sucking the life out of the Chargers. It would be a huge shift in this game. The problem is, we haven't been able to sustain anything. Our only positive play was a broken play that worked out. We need better.
  4. Needed a quick stop to continue the momentum and, of course, the defense can't tighten up.
  5. Matt Parrino @MattParrino Bernard is running on the sideline testing whatever the injury was. That's a good sign for now.
  6. Whelp.....that was pretty much the exact opposite of what I thought the game plan would be going in on both sides of the ball, especially on defense. If you were ever going to go blitz heavy, or at least use simulated pressures, this was the game to do it. Coaching is still head scratching on this team. Figure it out....
  7. The Bengals are going to kill them. The Steelers are complete trash. I doubt they win another game.
  8. OK.......messed around with the Playoff machine and found a way for us to clinch a Playoff spot before the Dolphins game happens. I am picking games the way I realistically think they could go, not what would be best for us. If we get some help from some unexpected sources along the way, it may offer more options. I'm just not counting on them. Obviously, we have to win the next 2. WEEK 16 Bengals beat Steelers (Of course we would love it if the Steelers could pull off the upset, but I think the Bengals are going to blow them out) Colts beat Falcons (Again, go Falcons. Indi is trash, but they somehow keep lucking their way into wins. But we will be rooting for this to go the way of the Falcons) Broncos beat Patriots (It feels dirty rooting for the Pats*, but we could really use them to find a way to beat the Broncos. Just don't see it, though.) WEEK 17 Raiders beat Colts (This is the one I am stretching on to get to where I want to be. I think the Colts will probably win but hopefully, we can get the Colts luck to run out. If everything else stays the same, but the Colts win both of these games against the Falcons and Raiders, we're still at 82%, but no guarantees) Jags beat Panthers (Go Panthers! HA HA HA!!!!!) Broncos beat Chargers (Go Chargers, but it ain't happening) Chiefs beat Bengals (While we all hate the Chiefs, this is one we need to happen) WEEK 18 Assuming we win the next 2, there is a good chance this will be your Primetime game as it could likely be for the division or maybe a Playoff spot itself. I am not sure how they will schedule the other games (the could obviously schedule the other games to happen after this one if the put the Bills and Dolphins on Saturday night), but if we do play after everyone else, here is what we would need to have a spot clinched before the game: Browns beat Bengals (HUGE ONE HERE...... If it goes the other way, with everything else remaining the same, it brings a lot more teams into it and drops our chanced to just make the Playoffs without winning the Dolphins game to in the 60% range) Texans beat Colts (Again, this keeps other teams out of the equation) So, that is how we can clinch a Playoff spot with a win or loss against the Dolphins. If the Colts keep finding a way to win, that is really bad for us. Ugh.....they are so bad, but just won't get out of the freaking way and their remaining schedule is cake. If the Colts beat the Texans in Week 18 or if the Bengals beat the Browns in Week 18, it will be on us to win or we will be having to hope the Raiders beat the Broncos. In all honesty, we are all Raiders fans from here on out. They affect multiple games. Not a great feeling having to rely on that team to win games for us, but it is what it is. Obviously, if we win out, we're in and could possibly host a Playoff game. That is the ideal situation. But, if you are just looking to find a way to get in, even if we lose that Dolphins game, this is the scenario to make that game meaningless in regards to just getting in the Playoffs.
  9. Ah.....I'm just messing with you. I am just too focused on trying to find a way into the Playoffs let along finding a way to the #2 seed. My main goal right now is winning the next 2 for sure and finding a way to make the week 18 game against the Dolphins only for the Division and not having to win just to get in. I am not sure that is possible with all the teams at 8-6, with our terrible tie breaker record, and the remaining schedules of each team. It looks more and more like that game will be needed just to make the Playoffs even with winning the next 2.
  10. We already have 6 losses..... so no.
  11. Obviously our entire season is predicated on winning out. The games we needed to go our way this week pretty much all went the wrong way. I haven't used a Playoff generator yet, but based on the number of teams at 8-6, I don't think there is any way for us to go into week 18 with a Playoff spot locked up. Obviously, it would be really nice if we could head into that game with the Dolphins in the Playoffs no matter what the result, but I don't think it's possible based on this week's results. Sure, if we win the next 2 and lose against the Dolphins it might be possible to backdoor our way in depending on how things go the next few weeks and in week 18, but I honestly think if we don't win out, we'll be on the outside looking in. Just have to keep winning.
  12. Oh, I don't mind it being a big game at all. Should keep the team's focus much easier playing the Cowboys. What will bother me, though, is if we lose, knowing that our season is probably over and having to turn my attention to the draft while I watch like 3 backup QBs play in the Playoffs with bad teams.
  13. Yes....if we win out. Tomorrow's game is so much bigger than we wish it was.
  14. Ugh......I'll say it again. These teams are trash. With the loss today, the Steelers will be out of it after they lose to the Bengals next week. From there, we are going to have to hope the Bengals lose their last 2. This gets more depressing with each passing moment. Our best chance to get in might be for us to win out and the Dolphins to find a way to lose 2 more before we beat them in the last week of the season. Any way you slice it, our chances don't look good at all because our coaches can't count and can't hold onto a lead in the last few seconds of most games.
  15. Colts have: Falcons Raiders Texans Steelers have: Bengals Seahawks Ravens To me, it looks like the Colts have the easier schedule for sure. So, it would be great for the Steelers to give them a loss today. On the other hand, the Steelers have the Bengals (who I think will kill the Steelers next week), a very inconsistent Seahawks team, and a Ravens team that may be resting starters in the last week of the season depending on how things go. So, all that said, I think it is still more likely for the Steelers to lose 2 of 3 rather than the Colts who I can definitely see winning 2 of 3. So, for me, it's rooting for the Steelers all the way today. EDIT: For the record, the Colts are going to win this game easily today.
  16. These teams are both trash........ And they have the tiebreakers over us because of our own stupidity and both could get in the Playoffs while we sit at home. Makes me sick thinking about it. I swear, we'll be the best team in the AFC Playoffs or miss the Playoffs completely. So frustrating.
  17. There were 3 plays I specifically saw him make a great and obvious impact on. There were others I saw him get washed out and look like he wanted no part of diving into a pile and try to help. You can tell he is playing more under control and making a conscious decision not to put his body in harms way. That said, he made an impact on a few snaps at big times which is a step in the right direction. Hopefully he continues to build on it if he continues to be able to play.
  18. Beating Dallas alone won't get us in as you know. We are going to need AT LEAST 3-1. The only thing that pretty much guarantees a spot is running the table.
  19. Kill shot? How many balls went to the end zone on that last drive?
  20. 2:12 left...... Chiefs have 2 TOs. Run the ball on 1st down to the 2 minute warning. Run the ball on 2nd down. Force the Chiefs to use a TO. Run the ball again. Force the Chiefs to use their last TO. If you just pick up that last first down, you can take a knee.....run the clock down to a couple seconds and kick a short game winning FG with no time left for them to get the ball back. Instead, they passed every time, didn't get the first down, left them with basically a full 2 minutes and 2 TOs to go on a potential game winning drive. Worst case if we didn't get the 1st down running on those 3 plays would be giving them the ball with just about a minute left and no TOs. Sure, no guarantees, of course, but it would have been a much better situation at worst.
  21. McDermott was a guy lining up 6" offside from not only a loss, not only season ending loss, not only another completely embarrassing loss, but a loss that would have been replayed until the end of time.......another loss that would have had a name associated with it. Coaching and mismanagement of time almost cost us the remainder of the season. Just an awful job as per usual. Oh well......survive and advance, I guess.
  22. Why are they blaming the refs? The dude lined up offside!!! There is nothing to argue about. They may be more mentally fragile than we are.
