This offense is so close to being great. The QB is an all time great. We have a very good line. The RBs, especially Cook, are very good. Our TE room is very good. But that's literally all we have. Shakir is a nice slot. Palmer is probably a good 3-4 as well. But, outside of that, we have no WRs that are going to strike any type of fear into anyone. Nobody to count on when a play needs to be made. If we just could invest in that position, I think we could be a great offense. But we're not because Beane has no idea what he is looking at when it comes to WR talent. Come on Beane.....get Allen a real WR that can get open!!!!!

Allen is 15-17 for 176...... Our WRs, outside of Shakir, have 19 of those yards. Adding Shakir's 22 yards to that total doesn't make it any better. The fact that Allen is basically out there doing what he's doing with no WR production at all is absolutely incredible.

Reports on X saying Bishop went up the tunnel early too. It was a massive hit. Hopefully he's OK because he's been a dog out there today.

Honestly a HUGE win for the defense there holding them to 3. Shocked they didn't go for it.

Having a bunch of really good WRs matter....... When is the last time one of our WRs made a play like that? Our TEs can get open down the field at times, but our WRs can't.

Are we sure something was down on the Cook run? I don't mind KC having to burn the TO, though and still scoring, though!

Asked the same thing earlier. Saw him during a TO, but I am not sure if I have seen him on the field. But I haven't checked the snap counts yet, so not sure what is going on there.

That was probably the best defensive TO McDermott has ever taken. And, as much as I rail on him for doing it so often, I am thrilled with that one. Our defense had no idea what the play call was and they were a complete mess. Could have resulted in a TD with so much miscommunication out there. He saw it and fixed it. The fact they got the stop is great, but for once this TO wasn't to get a look at what the offense was doing, but rather to fix the call.

Yeah.....the result is better, but I was just making the point about our lack of preparation in even the easiest things. After looking at it again, I do thing there was 12 on the field so it saved a new set of downs which is obviously great, but that should never have to happen.

Even if it was, it isn't much better. Poor coaching either way.

Honestly, that is a big win for this defense.

And now we're taking TOs on FG attempts. Never change McDermott.....never change.

Has anyone spotted Hairston yet? I haven't seen him take a snap yet.

What a difference having real WRs makes....... Speed and talent all over just lets guys run free. Helps going against a trash defensive scheme like we have, but the point remains. Talented WRs open up the entire field.

And now we're just going to give free yards to the Chiefs because of flags we will never see replays for.

Once again.....no WR that Allen can count on to just get open off the line..... You can't beat good teams with no WR weapons.

For whatever reason, after the 4th game of the season Cook was taken completely out of the passing game. He was averaging like 3-4 catches a game and now he's not even on the field, let alone being targeted. It truly is baffling not to have your 2nd best offensive player (and best weapon) on the field on the most important downs.

Really nice play design there. Just have to tip your cap sometimes. That said, it should have never happened because we should have been off the field if it wasn't for a bogus holding call on Bishop.

Right decision to go for it. But this is what happens when you don't have that WR1 that you can count on to make the play when you need it. Regardless, stay aggressive and keep making this decisions to go. I do miss just throwing the ball to Cook in space and letting him go to work, but apparently, he is not an option in the pass game anymore.

Good start by the offense. But we have all seen this before. The script coming out is great, but then things fall apart. We'll see if they can keep it up because it's going to take a lot of points to win today.

Can't go 1 play without a penalty against us. Buckle up..... Gonna be a long day with the flags.
