I agree with that Murphy's homerism is over the top and hurts his credibility. He is clear in his calls for the play by play, but I really don't enjoy listening to him very much. His excitement and attempts at having a unique personality while calling the game seem very forced to me. There's a lot of announcers out there who make the game fun to listen to/do it better IMO.

That was 100% intentional. He already knew the play was dead and he was offsides, so he didn't need to actually try to tackle McCoy. Saw a good chance to put a shot on Taylor that he might be able to get away with. It's how he does and who he is.

It was nothing remarkable, but in my opinion she demonstrated good knowledge of things that have happened with the team this year with the trades and the front office, the ups and downs with Taylor, how good Tre White has been... things of that nature. Again, not insight that I was blown away with, but I've certainly listened to many Bills games where I was positive the play by play and/or color guy hadn't watched a game all year, hadn't bothered to read whatever memo they're handed the week before the game, and offered just completely wrong takes on various things about the Bills. I didn't get that from Mowins' commentary. I will say, as some others have mentioned, she does have a little bit of that Marv/Kenny Albert type inflection which I don't really care for. To me, she's not as annoying as those two, but I see where folks are coming from in terms of personal annunciation taste.

Even though you used a very compelling combination of bold and caps, I don't agree that she made so, so, so many mistakes. She accidentally called Taylor McCoy once or twice. That was the only thing I caught. Announcers do things like that all the time. Happens in almost every single game. I was watching the CBS post game, and Bill Cowher made the same mistake (accidentally calling the quarterback the receivers' name) while doing the recap of a game. Can't remember who followed Cowher (Boomer or someone), but they totally missed their queue and botched the whole highlight clip. Instead of getting things back on track, everyone in the studio started yelling at once incoherently for about 10 seconds. My point is that it happens all the time to most announcers. I thought Mowins was exceptionally knowledgeable about the Bills and really did a good job talking about aspects of the team that most announcers don't care enough about to do their homework on.

I'm pretty much in agreement with this. There have been some other all time great players who've been Bills during the drought, but they walked on us or were traded when contract time came around. Peters and Marshawn are the ones that come to mind.

Way too early to label him a bust. He's definitely had some struggles, but he's also made some nice plays. If he's still dropping this many passes after 2 full NFL seasons, it will start to look more like a bust.

I agree that they are likely to not show up in week 17 and we should beat them, but you never know. They just may have some pride to close out the season. They are a talented team when they want to be. They were moving the ball at will on the ground and through the air for most of the first half vs us, but after their long drives stalled in the red zone for FGs, they seemed to kind of give up. And Cutler just sucked after the first few drives. They're a talented team when they want to play though. It depends on which team shows up. But yes, I agree that Gase is a terrible HC.

I thought she was pretty good. She seemed knowledgeable about the Bills which was better than most play by play announcers that cover the team. She had some good insights.

Someone was badly injured last year. Some big fat guy in a wrestling mask if I recall. He made the most unathletic jump in the history of jumps off a van with his legs fully extended and completely straight/locked. When his foot went through the table and hit the ground, I’m pretty sure his femur went straight up through his knee.

Don’t think Cutler was into playing in cold weather today. Good cutler may show up in south Florida in week 17. Or he may already be completely checked out on his way to retirement and not care.

I'm not really seeing how he's an 8 sack guy. From everything I've seen of his pass rush, it looks pretty awful. He gets swallowed up by the tackle and has no good pass rush move to get off a block. On the run front, I've noticed him catching the block quite a few times and getting knocked back. Just not really seeing what everyone else seems to be seeing with this guy.

At least he's exposing them.

Guys it's ok. We have Tyrod Taylor. No one leads a better aerial comeback!

I am a huge Tyrod fan. Love the guy as a leader for the Bills. He's the best QB on the roster right now and our best shot at winning right now. That said, he unfortunately isn't a long term solution at the position to take this team anywhere meaningful. If they could somehow keep him on for another year or two at a cost that makes sense while trying to draft/develop another QB, that would be great. But I don't think he's worth a big time contract. Will continue to cheer for him every week until such time as he's no longer a Buffalo Bill!

Really bad pass to O’Leary. The clay one was equally as bad. We lucked out big time there that the defender didn’t break more quickly on it. That said, we already know this about Tyrod. He throws some ducks every game. Ball just dies on a lot of his throws. He also makes some great ones too. And he is great at avoiding pressure, extending the play, etc, etc. I think what makes TT really interesting and creates such a huge debate around him is that the things he does bad, he does SO bad that it makes people go crazy and overreact at times. Some of those little flutter balls and his inability to see wide open receivers at times are just JV level painful. Also, two minute drill? Forget it. As bad as any QB in the league at times with those things. On the flip side, the things he does well, he does SO well that the Tyrod homers let that blind them to other facets of his game. Almost no QBs in the league protect the ball, run, or avoid pressure as well as TT. I think he lands as a middle of the road QB at the end of he day, but it’s a weird sort of “average” because he’s such a different player with such extremes in his skill set. Bottom line is that there’s no debate (or at least there shouldn’t be) that he is our starter and best option at QB right now. There’s still a legit chance we could sneak into the playoffs with him in there.

Sammy had a huge day today. Good for him. He is a great receiver and football player. Lot of clueless people out there with an axe to grind.
