Yeah, I don't think he "blew us away" last year. Far from it. I saw a lack of burst and many times where in very un-Fredlike fashion he would go down on first contact. I didn't see him getting those extra 2-3 yards after contact that has been his primary strength as an NFL running back his entire career. Not trying to be a hater because you're right, the man is a legendary Bill. And being a D3 hero makes me love him even more. But I think it's time.

+1 Accept it guys. This is football. Players won't always hang it up when their time is up. Why would they? Fred will probably find a team to give him a couple million more for another year, and good for him if he gets that deal. Bruce did, Thurman did, Andre did... doesn't change the reality that it was the right move. Fred won't hold a grudge. He knows it's the business. And it is a smart move for our organization. There's no longer room in that backfield.

It's hard to give Marrone the benefit of the doubt anymore. There very well may have been some issues we're not aware of, but at the end of the day, Marrone failed to solve those issues. Bills logo is one of the best. I love it. The writer's beef is that it doesn't make sense with the team name? Who the hell cares? The team name is cool and very original, and it has the appropriate logo that pays homage to the city and one of the great animals of North America.

Please. Percy Harvin? Stevie had some antics but he was a team player at his core and well respected by his teammates and coaches. He gave some life and energy to a franchise that had little while he was here. Never understood why everyone feels the need to trash this guy, and yet there are STILL people wishing Fitzpatrick on this team. Those things should be mutually exclusive.
