Colts hang "AFC Finalist" banner at Lucas Oil

Nay. Division champ, conference champ, or super bowl champ... ok. Anything else is a gold star to yourself. -
Bills Teammates Rave about Tyrod Taylor
DC Greg replied to RyanTalbotBills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm biased because I haven't seen Tyrod Taylor play much in the NFL. So internally I want to hope that he is that new shiny diamond in the rough QB who will finally come in and take care of business for the Bills. I definitely recognize the chances of that are slim. On the other hand, I'm also not obtuse enough to believe that just because EJ Manuel was a first round pick and was forced into NFL action early, he is inherently a better QB than Taylor. If a team like the Ravens had drafted Manuel, he would have rode the bench behind a quality starter like Flacco, just like Taylor. Of course I hope EJ will improve drastically somehow. He needs to in order to be an NFL quality QB. I'm pretty doubtful from what I've seen of him. Hope he proves me wrong, or we move on and find a measure of success in Cassel or Taylor. The one thing I don't want to see happen is "Let's just give EJ 16 full games, in a row, do overs in place until he completes his 6th NFL season" Need to find a QB that can manage a competent offense. The defense is world class now, and we need to win now. -

I will burn Yahoo to the ground. -
Bears Cut Ray McDonald after Arrest on DV Charges
DC Greg replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Good. NFL should follow suit and ban him. There should be zero tolerance for DV in the NFL anymore. Plus he had prior incidents. -
Which Bills player did this to JJ Watt?
DC Greg replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I've wondered about HGH with him. Can't test for it effectively (in the tests the NFL uses for it, it would only show up if taken within 24 hours). That dome piece of seems to have grown quite a bit, which happens w/ HGH. -

We have a winner. Nice post. What a block. That's how you chop down a guy like Watt! -

Looks like leg to leg contact at full speed to me. Prob with a running back. -
Interesting point Carpenter raises about how this could affect the XP block strategy and sending the house. I tend to agree and think we'll see more XP blocks from this.

No QB competition in Jersey: Geno is the starter

It's Geno's turn. -
It's better going to games now because...
DC Greg replied to JÂy RÛßeÒ's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I can almost guarantee that if we make the playoffs, people will just lose it and go crazy... not in a good way. Don't get me wrong, I love the intensity at the games. I don't mind language, and I don't mind yelling, standing up, drinks that get accidentally spilled occasionally... it's a football game, that stuff happens. But it often devolves into something worse. Look at what happens when we just get a night game for crying out loud. Some kid drowned in a creek last time, and there were pretty much disgusting antics all the way around. So many people just get lit, and they aren't paying attention to the game/really don't care about football anyways. Really wish those people would just save their money and just stay in the parking lot. -
You have got to be kidding me. Kickers need to alter their schedule in the middle of the week so they don't get "too fatigued" on a Sunday because they may have to kick the ball from the 15 instead of the 3? Wow. I knew kickers were soft, but that is extraordinary.

Andre Reed coaching with Bills (intern)
DC Greg replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Andre Reed is an intern? Job market is worse in Buffalo than I realized. Will be cool to see him on the sidelines, of course! -
Mario Williams is excited about this.

Ha! This is a good response. I'm in this camp.

When I see a thread like this on this message board it reminds me that many grown men are strangely infatuated with professional athletes' lives in the way that many women are with real housewives or the bachelor.

If Leo stays healthy he is going to have a great year. He has been improving immensely at the position over the past 3 years. He can run with anyone, and he has gotten MUCH better at locating the football and putting himself in great positions to make plays. I am really looking forward to seeing him and Gilmore out there this year. I think they are up for the challenge. Will be great for Darby to learn under those two and get reps here and there. Hopefully they stay healthy and that's how it plays out.

A reasonable Deflategate analogy
DC Greg replied to PlayoffsPlease's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
There's no true good analog because there's only one jerkoff who's ever been putz enough to get caught deflating footballs in the NFL. The patriots are a joke. "Fans" just counting the days till the red sox opener. Biggest and most educated Pats fans are from anywhere except Massachusetts. -
[closed]How would YOU punish Tom Brady for deflategate?

Brady to be SUSPENDED next week according to report
DC Greg replied to Alphadawg7's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I posted this in another thread, but just a general thought on the "it's not a big deal" argument for deflating footballs: I don't think deflating the football is meaningless. It clearly gives Brady more control over the ball, since he was so adamant about having the balls deflated. How many passes (potentially game changing ones) would have sailed off target had he followed the rules? We'll never know. The second part is that an underinflated football is much easier to CATCH than a full inflated ball, because you can squeeze it easier. Makes one handed catches a lot easier. Third, an underinflated football is much easier to HOLD ON TO than a fully inflated ball. Again, better grip and squeeze to hold tighter. So folks, it's not just Tom Brady's comfort that was affected by this scandal. You have every person who touched the ball on offense whenever they were using one of those balls receiving benefits. It's impossible to say how many fumbles may have happened or balls may have been dropped with a properly inflated ball. I think that impact would be very little... but I'm certain, in my mind, that there must have been at least a handful of plays where it helped. What if one of those plays was on a winning TD run in a playoff game? We won't know, but it's possible. And that possibility taints the legitimacy of their superbowls. Not completely, of course. You can't say (definitively or even confidently) that the Patriots would not have won a super bowl using the right PSI, but you can't not say it made no difference at the same time. -

Hey Aaron, how about you just go ahead and get the job done vs. the backup, then you can make that statement in regards to the impending rematch,. You've had a number of cracks against the best. Thus far, it's pretty clear who beats who. Take care of the team that takes the field first, then worry about who wasn't out there. Will look hella bad if you don't.

Even if he gets the suspension reduced, it would likely only be for half (2 games). Looks Rex can get ready to gameplan for Mr. Garrapolo and we can plan on giving him a warm welcome to the Ralph.

We got Tyson Chandler? Nice. Crossover athlete.
