  1. That sums up the 4th preseason game.
  2. I am pretty confident the Buffalo Bills are not paying anyone to post on twobillsdrive.com. For the record, I also believe that Apollo 11 did in fact land on the moon.
  3. With a running QB like Tyrod though, doesn't the injury concern have to cause some pause here? Is another tight end, even one who is a ST contributor, more valuable than that insurance? Not leading questions, just asking. If Tyrod went down and we had EJ, who has injury history, and Simms backing him up, that's concerning.
  4. To think that we are hopeful for this despite losing the o-line guru. Who would have thought we could do it without him?
  5. You just won the internet today
  6. Love it. Hope he continues to develop. Talk about finding value in the seventh round. Honestly have no idea how so many teams passed on this guy in rounds 5-7, ourselves included. Character concerns over pot have proved to be unwarranted.
  7. Getting a little ahead of ourselves, but yes, if he turns this offense around he'll be a candidate for a head coach. Hard to say how many openings there will be (bet on Washington!) and how much he'll be valued. I tend to think there'll be less of a rush on him. The top tier teams wouldn't go for him yet, I don't think. There's no way the Browns hire another Buffalo assistant if the last one doesn't work out. Other possibilities are out there, but I'd expect that we get at least 2 years under Roman. Those expectations go down if we make the playoffs with solid offensive play, and they go down dramatically if we get a playoff win. AFC championship appearance with good offensive play, and he's in the mix for any team with a vacancy.
  8. This is a good post. I think this is an accurate take. Time will tell (if he gets in regular season action, which is very likely at some point) if we just saw a few more preseason flashes followed by regression. I think a lot of us are excited about TT and hopeful EJ is genuinely developing into a potential starter.
  9. Hey sorry haven't heard from you in awhile. Just wanted to see if you cared to comment?
  10. Love this thread and all those who poo pooed that this could happen.
  11. Someone will absolutely sign Matt Cassel. There are plenty of teams with horrible backup QB situations.
  12. Awesome. Great spot for him. Hope he does well. Can't wait to cheer him on in the NFC, and thank god he's not on the Pats. Keep a great career rolling FJ! Looking forward to you returning and hopefully signing a one day contract to retire as a Bill.
  13. How should he dress to please you, boss? Want him to dance for you too?
  14. This is the correct response to all of the woe is us, doomed, and heartbroken feelings about Fred. This is the NFL, and this is how it works. I loved FJ as a Bill as much as anyone. I remember watching his runs while he backed up Marshawn and saying he was amazing, when most fans around me were indifferent or didn't know who he was or his D3, NFL Europe story. It's hard to believe people who say they would root against the Bills if FJ was on another team and he played us. Also wishing that we continue to miss the playoffs as some sort of punishment? I remember when people used to tell me that there are Bills fans who actually enjoy losing so they can continue to wallow in their misery and talk about how bad they have it and complain, complain, complain. They do, in fact, exist.
  15. I feel like Tyrod or Taylor are both solid. Name is strong enough to stand alone
  16. Good point. He was an excellent blocker. Hopefully Karlos is a good blocker who can also be a threat on third down the D has to account for? I think it was probably a football decision. Can I say that? Does that make me not everyone?
  17. Like a scorned lover. This is a level of butthurt TBD has seldom seen. Total catastrophic meltdown.
  18. Oh OK. So now our head coach is on blast? The coach picked this guy and you wanted the other guy, so you're throwing a fit. Thats all that's happening here. Try not to torch the team too much in the process.
  19. It's obvious you are EJs campaign manager, but with all due respect, EJ dissed himself by virtue of his own play in his first two seasons. The worst QB in the league for stretches of both years. He's showing signs of improvement, and I definitely hope we keep him around to develop in case he can be a starter in the NFL. But your desperation to paint him as if he's been a 5 year vet who's taken a team to the playoffs or something like that is laughable. You're literally citing his year 3 preseason QBR as evidence of his greatness? Dude has played in regular season NFL games... you do realize that? In them, he helmed one of the most ineffective offenses in the game.
  20. So he could say it was a fair competition and they all had a shot. It was, they did, and Taylor won the competition.
  21. Any fan who boos our players on the field is not a real fan. Cast criticisms in message boards on Monday. Sunday the team needs to actively draw on the crowd. If there is a legitimate boo against BB or any player, that's just low class amateur hour BS. If anyone reading this is one of those guys, please just stay at home, yell at your TV, and kick your dog like you normally do.
  22. Rex was just messing with the media (and by proxy the message board community). Nothing behind his statement other than just messing with people who took it too seriously. Feels different to have a coach of that composition. That's definitely a new thing for Buffalo. Vintage Rex though.
  23. Bryce Brown is electric. He hasn't broke out yet at this level but he has the ability to torch a defense. I hope he shows his detractors wrong. He was having a great game vs the chiefs last year until the fumble. And as much as everyone wants to point at that and define his football career with it, that was a hell of a strip. Just a great play by the defender. I'm hopeful he's got a lot to offer. Hats off to Fred. Hell of a career. One of the all time great Bills. A true D3 hero too.
  24. Interested to see if that holds true with our oline. If it doesn't, we may be in big trouble again this year. I'm hopeful the line is greatly improved. Truth. When a QB is as fast and athletic as TT and tour spy is LB, it can be hard to keep up and take the right angle that needs to be made in a split second. Better strategy IMO is to keep pressure coming from different angles so he can't predict where its coming from. In this case you HOPE he runs right into a blitz at some point, takes a big shot, and is more run shy as the game moves forward. It's a risk reward strategy, and you can get burned, but over the course of a game more effective than a predictable spy. Chess vs checkers
  25. Such a trash player from the second he entered the league. No idea what they saw in him. Feel bad though. Seemed to be a real good kid.
