  1. Agreed, they aren’t, and he isn’t. Enough time has been wasted and McD has proven he isn’t that guy for Allen. The Bills need to try someone else. Sorry Sean, this is as far as you are able to take this team. They have to give someone else the shot who can help Allen get to the next level.
  2. Agreed. His interviews this week have become even more disjointed than usual. His answers barely make sense because he’s too nervous to answer a question the wrong way. It’s over… the team can’t have a guy like that leading them.
  3. I think he’s just incompetent, especially when it comes to in-game coaching. 12 players on the field to lose the game? Inexcusable. And it’s only the most recent head coaching failure he’s had. He is notorious for poor challenges, failing to challenge when he should, taking ill timed or unnecessary defensive timeouts especially late in games (that often help the opposing offense), etc. And this is just what we can plainly see as fans on the field. How much more does he screw up behind the scenes? In no other NFL organization would this be tolerable for so long. He has a proven track record of failure in pressure situations in games. The bigger the moment, the more he shrivels up and collapses. How much more of that do you really need to see to be convinced he’s not the guy to lead the team on game day? Yeah he did some good things to turn things around when he got here, but he was part of the reason for the turnaround, not the sole cause of it. It’s time for a new leader who doesn’t crap his pants in pressure gameday situations. It’s absurd what he’s gotten away with. He should have been fired on the spot for not having the right personnel on the field for that FG attempt after all those timeouts.
  4. The results are in. McDermott is an incompetent head coach and needs to be fired. It’s always been clear that he’s a deer in headlights when it comes to in-game management. I think a lot of fans wanted to forgive that because he did establish a winning culture and attitude at first. We all remember how bad the drought years were. That culture is completely dead now. He’s lost the team, and he’s gotten even worse at coaching during games. There’s no excuses left. The team won’t start to heal until he’s fired.
  5. He was right. The head coach is a clown and he knew it.
  6. He is amazingly bad. He has proved time and time again he is not capable of in game management. Craps his pants in the big moments every single time. There are no excuses left. He needs to go, immediately.
  7. Posted in another thread too but... I think everything starts with the example the head coach sets. He seems like a great person, and I know he works as hard as anyone. But he's worked himself into a ball of nerves. He doesn't coach with confidence, and I think his timid "trying not to lose" attitude pervades every part of the team: players, coordinators, and assistant coaches. It's gotten worse over the past few years. His deer-in-headlights in-game decisions (random defensive timeouts, decisions to waste timeouts on foolish challenges, etc) are so bad they're obvious to even casual fans, but I bet his nervous mindset is manifesting itself in many other ways that we can't see. He looks visibly pained and shaken on gameday, and the players are absolutely going to see and feel that total lack of confidence. You can't keep up a facade in a position of leadership as demanding as an NFL head coach where you need to be the balls. Dorsey is just a symptom of the larger McDermott failure IMO.
  8. The poll option I really want isn't there: I think everything starts with the example our head coach sets. It's obvious with his deer-in-headlights in-game decisions (random defensive timeouts, decisions to waste timeouts on foolish challenges, etc), but I bet that weak mindset is manifesting itself in many other ways that we can't see as fans. The guy is visibly pained and shaken on gameday, and the players are absolutely going to see and feel that. You can't keep up a facade of confidence in a position of leadership like that. Dorsey is just a symptom of the larger McDermott failure.
  9. He has a knack for calling them at the exact wrong time. It’s like watching a high school coach sometimes. You’d expect a better feel for the game from a NFL head coach.
  10. Weren’t the Bills been the “betting favorite” to land every big name in the off-season? Hopkins, Dalvin Cook, etc?
  11. McD pooping his pants at the end of the game again as usual
  12. I am going to continue to trust that Brandon Beane knows more than any fan which he keeps proving time and time again with his incredible track record of turning this formerly 17 years of poverty franchise into a perennial contender. Whatever Beane does will be in the best interests of the team after thorough consultation with his head coach. If they want/need more depth at corner, he'll get it. If it makes more sense to roll with the guys they have, he'll do that. And I won't worry one bit.
  13. I agree with all of this, except that Tre hadn’t been back to his old self. He was pretty incredible so far this year. He was playing great again today. Just devastating that he won’t have the opportunity to keep it up.
  14. I'd start by saying the offense is improving and still very good overall, imo. I wish they'd focus on using their first round weapon they traded up for more as the season goes on. I'd really like to see them focusing on more plays where Kincaid is Josh's first read rather than second or third. All these plays drawn up for Harty could be chances to get the ball in the hands of someone I believe has already shown much more receiving playmaking ability.
  15. Cover your blowholes, lol. I'm going to use that.
  16. People are pointing out his flaws which are all valid. But at least there’s a chance he could improve over time… I’d take that over Murphy who is awful, has always been awful, and is only getting worse. You’ve had a good run dude. Hang it up.
  17. He is definitely getting better and better. Our D line is DEEP. And it’s such an important position to be deep at. Fresh pass rushers coming at you all the time, especially once Von is back? Deadly.
  18. This kid is a straight playmaker. You can’t teach the instinct he has for the ball. Will he get overpowered on some runs? Probably. But his ability to create turnovers and big plays in space far outweighs that. He can turn a game with his play. What an eye for defensive/coverage talent McD has!
  19. It was a thing to behold. It was at least 50/50, but maybe 60/40 Bills fans. Amazing. Great win all around, but I would love to see Kincaid be a bigger part of the game plan. He was open multiple times today and didn’t get a look. Offense needs to focus on getting him the ball more instead of what they’re trying to do with Harty.
  20. Bills fans will be well represented in the stadium on Sunday, that’s for sure! There is A LOT being organized around here right now. There are a lot of Bills fans in the DMV, and it seems like a lot of folks have pegged this one as a travel game.
  21. Yes he played like a total head case last night, but I do believe that’s also a product of him being overcoached to do things that don’t come naturally to him. He’s shown how talented he is. I don’t have to explain to a bills fan how incredible he has proven he can be. And if the offensive coaches aren’t getting that out of him, they need to try someone else. Maybe it’s not all their fault, but you have to try someone who can work with the superstar talent you have at QB. Whatever Dorsey is doing with him is not clicking.
  22. Sorry Ken, but the axe has to fall on someone if this continues. Josh is a world class talent, and if he starts failing like this consistently, you have to try someone new to work with him. He’s too talented to just let flounder. Sometimes it just doesn’t click between coaches and certain players even if it’s not all the coach’s fault.
  23. But if he had a stud RB, could he even make clean handoffs to him without fumbling?
  24. I did not realize how tight Kirksey is with Hyde and Poyer. That’s awesome to hear. Gotta think that helps.
  25. I'm glad they cut bait if a player isn't going to pan out. If Kingsley is outplaying him and this means he makes the 53, awesome. It's great to have a GM that won't be scared to admit a mistake and will make sure the best players make the roster. At the same time, it's more than fair to question Beane's drafts. Way too many late first/second/third round misses. Whoever is scouting these picks or whoever is the main driver for taking them needs to take a step back in the draft room. Time for some changes there... or maybe there already have been? Looks like we (hopefully) nailed a game changing playmaking tight end and a starting offensive lineman this year. If those pan out, whoever is advising Beane on that front needs to be empowered more.
