  1. Sour grapes...Carpenter didn't do so well for them and now he's a baller for us. Miami fans are a bunch of sweaty armpits
  2. This "poll" is under a ridiculous premise, as you have pointed out - we aren't going 5-0 from here. Lewis, by many respects, has played on a very similar level to Manuel. Since Manuel is younger and had less time to develop, it would only be assumed that Manuel will get better than Lewis from here. But this conversation has no business happening under the false pretense that we will go 5-0. Oh, and I don't know what you mean by "most expected Kolb to start the season". It seemed pretty clear before the concussion that Kolb was looking a little sloppy =/
  3. The defender didn't seem like the sharpest tool in the shed. He was half watching the throw and half dimwit, walking right into luck and bumping him down. The penalty is due to it being so much later than the pass. On another note, I was sad to see manning lose. Denver has some serious flaws outside manning and his phenomenal receiving corps. The Broncos won't win too many playoff games looking like they do now.
  4. Rob Johnson But really. While our O line was not giving Thad much of a chance, Thad didn't look great today. I seriously doubt he will go 4-0 against NO, KC, PIT, and the Jets heading into the bye. If he does, with a commanding presence and no riding on the coat tails of our defense offering free points and great field position, then MAYBE we can discuss the possibility of letting him start in Toronto.
  5. We should trade Kiko, Spiller, and Stevie for a lot of money, then give the money to fans and bolt.
  6. Really a toss up between Freddy and Stevie. I went with Stevie because he's kew
  7. Is it just the nature of being a bills fan or did everybody know going into that OT we were going to lose? No team in their right mind would go for 2, but bills fans knew in their hearts that the odds of scoring 2 may be better than OT =/
  8. It's funny that after losing games, this board (sometimes myself included) generally criticizes the offense, playcalling, etc. and praises the defense, kiko, etc (minus our secondary troubles). It seems like its our defense is losing the games after all. But when push comes to shove our offense and defense are equally good/bad. We have some definite weaknesses but also appear to have strengths that will continue to grow throughout the season
  9. Overrated Phins About to face Alonso Tannehill will choke
  10. I haven't looked at the actual yards we've given up to TEs but fantasy statistics don't necessarily mean anything. For example, when examining lamar miller vs. the bills next weekend: "Buffalo has given up the 7th fewest fantasy points to Running Backs this season" That's probably because teams just run it all day down the field against us and lob one into the end zone for a touchdown instead of running it in. That will make a run D look good in fantasy.
  11. How do you guys think of a play like this: _ and goal at the 1, line up like it's gonna be a read option with Freddy next to Thad. Thad starts pretending to read the defense Manning style, walking all over the place yelling at the O line random calls. Thad walks over next to the left tackle and sneakily acts as a tight end. Silent direct snap to Freddy and he bursts through into the end zone. Game. Set. Match.
  12. We don't "win" because the game could swing any way after that point. Yes it would have given us an advantage but one play in the first half doesn't determine the outcome. A QB can hurt an ankle or knee if he gets sat on by any of the linemen, BUT I agree you gotta try it once in a while.
  13. Exactly. When you have 1st and goal at the one you plan for 4 downs to get it in and try a variety of ways to do so. Not three of the exact same plays then a gutsy call on fourth down.
  14. Just came out about 20 minutes ago that his son passed. I know earlier he said he was going to play but I imagine he won't be anymore. Hard to say. Condolences to AP and I wish the killer could get some "alone time" with AP
  15. While you're at it we could also use Peyton Manning and Adrian Peterson
  16. Big penalty if there was a shot like that to Brady. However, Brady would never dash for three extra yards after a first down when there are defenders everywhere and out of bounds is a side step away.
  17. Why would a team draft a player that is more concerned about his own career than his team's success? If he goes top 3, then he'll just ditch that team after his rookie contract for a team he thinks will get him a ring.
  18. This one. I don't know our exact rank but I do know our rushing attempts are easily top 10, probably top 5 in the league which allows for a higher total yards. Our YPC is pretty decent (not putrid) but no denying that Spiller's statistics are less impressive than last year. The reason for this is definitely B, but I wouldn't call our team's running scheme as a whole "putrid". Teams have also realized how much of a weapon Spiller is, causing teams to focus on him more and open up opportunities for EJ's passing game.
  19. You don't want to trash EJ's confidence after only one year, but I would say you sit him down and say look, we need a solid backup QB because if you go down we are tanked. We want to develop a new rookie since there are no good ones on the market, so we're going to draft one. Then we give EJ about 2-3 years and if it doesn't work out then we'll have another (hopefully) decent option. If the Bills manage to get an okay draft pick out of Byrd that would be a bonus because it would also be worrisome to waste a high pick on a QB when we're struggling elsewhere.
  20. Did I suggest we trade one of them? And between TJ Graham, Goodwin when he gets back, and possibly Hogan or Easley, I would think we could develop a "quality WR3" with no problem over the next couple seasons
  21. By "great" I mean one of the better aspects of our team. Our RBs can never seem to play through a whole game without injuries, our secondary has been dismembered by mediocre QBs, and I'm sure we could nit pick and find many other flaws. What Im saying is we don't need to be trading away Stevie when our relatively consistent WR play has helped EJ come a long way. As far as I'm concerned, with Stevie on one side, Woods on the other, and Spiller (should be) running flats, I don't know how that is considered weak. A safety who doesn't want to be on the team and injuries keeping holes in the CB position tell me that our secondary is "weak".
  22. Yep I was pretty damn wrong lol. Really hurts the Falcons that they will be moving forward without Jones or White too...
  23. NO The reason we have such a great receiving corps is our depth. Stevie usually draws the top CB of the opposing team opening up Woods and Graham to work some magic. Granted, Woods played very well against Haden last week, but there is still no reason to give up the WR corps that we have. If we trade away our top WR to improve another aspect of our game, next year we'll be complaining about not having a good enough receiving squad.
  24. I agree the NFL belongs in America, but I like the concept of trying to make Football international. Soccer is boring, rugby is a joke, and cricket...well... Who knows, maybe if it gets popular enough over there they can have not just their own team, but their own division. It would make less traveling back and forth. As far as next year's games go...WTF why are they giving London a peek at our worst teams? Jags and Raiders? Really? You've gotta give them a game that's actually fun to watch.
