  1. Vegas odds are the best representation of a power ranking. It's not just talking heads that clearly have favorites, the vegas odds are a combination of statistics and where people are putting their money. I highly doubt most "experts" put their money where their mouth is.
  2. I take it back, I would love to scroll through 30 pages, but my boss probably wouldn't be too happy. It's actually kind of funny thinking about how much collective time/money has been wasted by TBD members on following La'el Collings today alone
  3. That article about not being allowed to meet with teams was very misleading. It appears that the only rule is that teams can’t visit a player at his campus or residence.". That leaves quite a bit of wiggle room to do just about anything else
  4. Sorry if these have been posted, I wasn't really interested in scrolling through 30 pages... http://www.denverpost.com/broncos/ci_28051838/lael-collins-agent-says-his-client-is-not-meeting-nfl-teams?source=infinite Interesting that he "wont meet with teams" - does that mean he's only meeting with Buf and Miami, thus we have a 50/50? EDIT: I guess I was beat to it while I was writing my post... -------- http://nflmocks.com/2015/05/05/why-lael-collins-to-the-buffalo-bills-seems-odd/ Strangest perspective I've ever seen - some reporter saying we have so much depth at OT that we don't need Collins? Did he watch a single Buffalo game last year?
  5. No Mariota/Rivers/Eagles mega trade TIme to grab a beer and watch some netflix
  6. http://www.bloomberg.com/politics/articles/2015-04-28/nfl-will-end-its-tax-exempt-status-goodell-tells-team-owners While I hate that the NFL is tax exempt, I can only think of selfish reasons that Goodell would want to turn the tables. Prepare for his salary to go from 35 mil to 50 mil I hope the money they pay in taxes doesn't cause inflation of NFL-related expenses for the fans.
  7. OBJ and Benjamin had better years than Sammy, therefore they must be better receivers, right? It doesn't have anything to do with the QB throwing them the ball.
  8. My apologies if the strength of schedule already had its own thread, but I haven't seen one in recent memory. http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/eye-on-football/25066031/2015-nfl-strength-of-schedule-steelers-at-no-1-falcons-at-no-32 Bill have the 19th most difficult schedule based on 2014 records - do you think our schedule is easier or harder than 19th based on opponent's free agency and the recently released schedule? I think the first two games at home against our two toughest opponents gives us a chance to win 1 of them. I bet we start the year off 1-1, which would give us a great advantage. However, I think the JESTS and Phins both improved over free agency, making our division schedule a little tougher than last year. Seriously, the JESTS can only improve after last year's dumpster fire.
  9. Ah such an unfortunate decision to make. I can see us winning our first couple games and prices skyrocketing, I can also see us starting 1-4 and wishing I didn't pay $120 a ticket when I could have gotten for 70
  10. Thanks for the input. I'm actually on ticket master and it looks like there's nothing left for 3 people together other than resale. Might have to drop over a hundred just for the cheap seats now....
  11. So I will be on the east coast in October, and it just so happens that the week I will be over there is the week that the Patriots are at the Ralph. I 100% want to go, the problem is that I'm not completely sure that my trip will land on that weekend. My issue is that I want to buy my bills tickets now just in case - if my trip turns out to be later, how is the resell market? Do you think I could get face value back for my tickets? I feel like if I wait any longer to buy they could sell out and just be double the price on stubhub. Thanks! Oh and one more thing I wanted to ask about: How is the seating at the Ralph? Is it worth it to jump from the $74 corner seats to the $98 seats? Where do you like to sit on a moderate budget?
  12. Having a good QB, yet still bringing in talent in order to have a good backup and/or competition for your main guy? I wish Kelly was our coach...we have an average QB, a practice squad backup, and I'm willing to bet Marrone doesn't bring in another QB until at least 2016, if he doesn't get fired before then.
  13. That was an excellent catch by Rogers. I tip my hat
  14. This. To be fair, firing a HC after one season is pretty harsh. I'm okay with giving Marrone another shot. But come on...I'm sick of being 4th.
  15. Nice to see Powell drop one in at the 1 yard line vs. the Ravens
  16. They are all set except NO or AZ. Go Cardinals! The morning games are pretty boring though I must say. I'm watching Bengals v. Ravens (Go Bengals). In eastern washington, guess what game I get to see in the afternoon? Not the Bears/Packers divisional decider, but the Seahawks on Fox. On CBS, not the Chargers fighting for wild card, but the #*@ Broncos/Raiders. What the %?
  17. To be honest I like of liked the blue pants. I like the shade of blue they have been using lately. It doesn't help my case that we've gotten our #&^@ kicked every road game.
  18. The last thing the Bills need when they are in playoff contention late in the season is a butt fumble...that being said, Sanchez isn't terrible. I'm just not sure I would like the Bills to sign a guy who previously made headlines for a terrible gaffe. The Bills want to move past the image of being a joke. Of everyone on the list, I'd like to see Schaub sign with us. He had a bad season this year, but he's had good ones. I think he'd be a serviceable backup.
  19. Really? If that's true that sounds ridiculous on the part of the NFL. At least they could have said "no NEW community owned teams" to prevent any random city from trying to bankroll a team. But to ban it from a team that has an aging owner with no potential buyers....
  20. I admit I do not know very well how team ownership and financial obligations work, so I was wondering if anyone out there has an opinion on why the Bills could not become similar to Green Bay's style of ownership: where the citizens hold "shares" of the team? I know the shares are mostly symbolic, but I don't know how the actual process works. The Bills have a very similar fan base as GB (although probably not as big on a national level), could we potentially shift to this model? I'm sure there has been talk here on TBD of this before, but I have never seen a thread about it.
  21. Here's what would inevitably happen for me: If the Bills moved to Toronto, I would still "follow" them, probably even be happy when they win. I would follow them from season to season and if they got on a great run to the superbowl it would end in a very anticlimactic "meh"...it just wouldn't be the same.
  22. I have to disagree. Playing at the Ralph is a huge advantage - not only is it a difficult crowd atmosphere for the opposing team, but against the Falcons, who are used to a dome, it would be putting them in cold weather. Not to mention, the turf was in awful condition, I couldn't count how many times I saw bills defenders slipping. I'm not defending chandler or stevie, but the bills should have had that one in the bag at half time. PS - what the f-- was it with that PI call on Robey at the end? That make me sick.
  23. Smith saw Kiko out of the corner of his eye and almost peed his pants
