  1. Is it just me or is the Colts match up looming as kind of a david vs goliath situation? I think they are the toughest team on our schedule, and we won't have Dareus or McKelvin on D. Really our only advantage is that our team is so transformed it will be tough for them to game plan. Despite how good our D is, I feel like Andrew Luck can tear it apart. Let's hope Rex has something up his sleeve.
  2. Thanks all for posting coverage, tweets and pics. Great day at work to spend reading 10 pages of TC thread
  3. Contrary to many on this forum, I think the Dolphins will have a good season. Over the past few years we usually whomp them, but they play very well against teams outside our division. If they can beat the Jets twice, split with us and the Pats, they will be in the playoffs. You heard it here first. USA Today also seems to think there are 3 playoff caliber teams in the AFCE. Let's hope they're right!
  4. That's a lot of non-divional games for the AFCE to be winning this year.
  5. I think we have somewhere around a 50% chance of making the playoffs. Will likely come down to a head-to-head result with another bubble team like the chiefs. If we do make the playoffs, I think we have a chance to beat just about any team and make it to the super bowl. Seeing as we beat the Packers in their prime last year. Let's just hope our week 15 Bills show up and not week 16 Bills
  6. While that is true, it doesn't mean that when CBS films a game the NFL can just rebroadcast it wherever and however they want. I'm sure CBS makes sure they are paid and given appropriate credit. That being said, I hope we do get a professional CBS crew in there instead of some Yahooligans
  7. Last season Spiller didn't do particularly well even before his injury. F-jax vultured a few TDs (Felton? Bryce? Boobie?) and again, we could never convert at the goal line. I think McCoy has a good shot at 1,700 yards from scrimmage. I just can't decide if he'll be one of those RBs that racks up the yards without the TDs
  8. Well I'm sure plenty of people fantasize about McCoy. But this is a different fantasy
  9. As many avid football fans here, I am beginning to construct my draft strategy for the upcoming year. I thought I would open up the discussion as to his perceived value. LeSean McCoy's ADP is 17. Is this a steal? Will he be a top 5 back this year? There is no concern that he will be getting the carries. I would even say he will get a good number of goal line carries. The question is, will this year be a repeat of last year's unending field goals in the red zone? Can we convert? I am usually cautious about drafting bills, then when the time comes I panic and draft a bill in the first round. Hasn't turned out great with spiller the last few years.
  10. If Russel Wilson doesn't agree to something more reasonable and the Seahawks let him walk, he's going to find out that the last two SBs were the peak of his career. I'm not saying he isn't a great QB, but he sure wouldn't be able to bring a bottom-tier team to the top. He needs a good team to begin with if he wants to keep is super bowl streak going.
  11. As a sports fan, I love statistics, but at some point they just don't have much value. I think this is getting to that point.
  12. We're gonna make fools out of the Colts and the Pats* on our way to a 2-0 start. Playoff drought ends this year. I'm not just sure, I'm HIV positive.
  13. I expect we get a few picks in the first half before Indy settles down. The issue will be if we can capitalize to get in front before Indy adjusts.
  14. True that Indy's record makes them appear better than they are. But they still have been to the playoffs 3 straight and we...haven't Wasn't implying that the Jets vs Colts result would be a direct correlation to this game. Just bringing it up for a little back drop
  15. As it is said every year, the opener will be a huge indication of where this team stands. Can we defeat, or at least play competitive football against one of the AFC powerhouses? With the quarterback situation, coaching changes, and even a few headlining roster changes for Indy (Gore, Johnson), it is difficult to predict the outcome. Vegas has the Colts at (-2.5), which is flattering compared to the line for last year's opener against the Bears. I recall something around (-6.5)? What I wanted to highlight was Rex vs. Luck, Round 1. The two have only faced off once, in Luck's 5th game of his rookie year (2012). The Jets routed the Colts 35-9 with Sanchez under center. While the Colts weren't playing particularly hot (2-2 going into the game), they did have a good year and ended up in the playoffs. Luck had 7 TDs in the prior four games, recording at least one TD per game. This was his first career game without a passing touchdown. The Hilton and Johnson duo worry me, but I think we have a shot in this game. GO BILLS!
  16. Mario Williams sacks Tom Brady twice at Gillette. Also recovers a fumble in the same game. EDIT: Sorry I have to make a second prediction: Shady is league's leading rusher
  17. It will be fantastic to see the league's best DL face the league's best OL in week 16.
  18. It amazes me how many times reporters spread rumors based on zero facts, then how much people buy into it... Teams don't trade away their franchise quarterbacks. Period. It doesn't matter if they are a good player or not, if they have gotten you to the playoffs repeatedly, you don't sell them. Let's see how many QBs have had trade rumors this off season...off the top of my head - Brees, Cutler, Rivers, even Russel Wilson for over apparent contract disagreement. Kaep isn't going anywhere
  19. I don't. Professional conduct and integrity shouldn't be a standard reserved for only the elite. They are two employees who knew what they were doing. They were taking autographed equipment (bribes) in return for something they knew was wrong.
  20. "The Monday release said that Patriots owner Robert Kraft told NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell last week that two Patriots employees had been indefinitely suspended without pay. The league said that neither man could be reinstated without permission."
  21. Not exactly the iron fist, but I'm pleasantly surprised. Would have liked to see the equipment guys fired, but not sure if that's something the NFL can do. Makes our tough opening schedule a bit easier. Can't rule game 2 as a win though, the Pats** have managed without Brady before.
  22. Has the Salem interview been posted yet? http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-network-total-access/0ap3000000491750/Brady-avoids-questions-about-Wells-Report This is gold. Props to the interviewer for asking the hard questions. Icing on the cake: "Do you even care what people think of you?"
  23. No way does the NFL suspend him for 8 games. It will probably just be a fine. As much as I hope he gets suspended for our game 2, I don't see it happening
