  1. Lost to the Bengals in 89. I believe Kirby Jackson got tossed from that game, if I am not mistaken. https://www.pro-football-reference.com/boxscores/198901080cin.htm
  2. Groy, Mills, and Miller were pretty bad, too....and Teller had not developed yet.
  3. Sure, that looks bad.....until you remember what our O-line was 2 years ago. Other than Dawkins are any of those guys still in the league?
  4. This maybe? https://www.thebiglead.com/posts/baker-mayfield-contract-fifth-year-cleveland-01etz80zjejc
  5. Tomorrow and tomorrow and tomorrow creeps in this petty pace from day to day.....put another way...This week is sooooooo long.
  6. He might identify as a Steeler....but the one play that identifies him to NFL fans happened as a Bill....knocking out Bret Favre.
  7. Not only that, I think the NFL would love to be able to say, "See...we care about player safety....We even put the biggest player in the sport on the shelf." NFL is in for the long game...one game is not worth it. Could you imagine if Mahomes becomes the next RGIII? He was rushed into a playoff game and was never the same. That's the last thing the NFL wants.
  8. Wasn't there a really good receiver on the Ravens who had success with Flacco, but then Lamar couldn't get him the ball so he left for another team with a young QB with a bigger arm? I thought I heard he had great success as the team's #1, and even though he has been the #2 this year and been banged up, he is still getting the ball more when in there? Who WAS that receiver and where did he go. Hmmmmm....let me think. I do realize that Lamar was a rookie then, and I am a bigger Lamar fan than many....but I think that narratives have power and it would keep top receivers from coming there.
  9. Optics may be an issue. I can't remember who it was, but a few years ago a quarterback was visibly dazed and was sent back in. The coach claimed he didn't see it, and there was a huge uproar. I think it even prompted the NFL to use spotters to buzz down and have a guy taken out if he looks like that. Even if he passed all the preliminary tests, they may have...given what they saw on tape...decided he needed more testing...and rightly so.
  10. Is one of the Browns secretly a Vulcan? But seriously, this sounds very weird...though fits what we saw on the video. Not sure if that injury is more or less concerning.
  11. He was one of my favorite posters, too....I hope we can get him back. Maybe this week I will try and dig out my old Kirby Jackson autographed football. It could serve two purposes: bring the Bills luck and act as a Kirby bat signal.
  12. Yeah, it was weird, wasn't it? Never saw much of a blow to the head like the one Lamar took when he hit the ground. But he looked like a boxer who just got rocked and is about to go down. Then, a couple of minutes later he is running to the locker room and looks fine. An odd injury and odd reaction.
  13. You and Lamar both. He completely locked onto him, setting up Taron's interception.
  14. Yeah, I was talking about Ditka the announcer. He always seemed to have it out for the Bills and find ways to say bad things about them. He did a game in Buffalo, where they had a desk set up close to the field and the whole game people hammered him with snowballs.
  15. I say if he ever comes to a Buffalo home game we give him the Ditka treatment. Old timers will know what I mean.
  16. I'd think the Chargers would be a bit nervous about hiring another Bills OC.
  17. Hurry, hurry, hurry...before I go insane oh, oh, oh, oh, oh....so until the game.
  18. It's not a guarantee, but with a good offense (which we have) you can control it to some degree. If you get the ball and there are 6 minutes left, you try to milk the clock with a long drive. If you get the ball back with 1:30 left, you go quick. Think about the Colts game and the Colts completely controlled the game in the first half and were getting ready to take a big lead. They go for it on 4th, don't make it, and the next time they see the ball (other than a few seconds before half), the Bills have scored 10 more points on them and taken the lead.
  19. And they'd already be ready for bed right after the game...dressed in their jammies.
  20. I'd go so far as to say his ability is Trent Edwards level. Lest we forget. Hey  There Trent Edwards
  21. I agree. Those errors were not unforced and at the start of the 4th quarter the Colts had only scored 10 points and the Bills were leading by 14. The plan was working. The 4th quarter did not go well...let Colts score too quickly and it reminded of some Bills games earlier in the year. In fact, it was a lot like the Cardinals game only Josh gave up a sack/fumble (though recovered) instead of the interceptions and the defense defensed a hail mary well. So, they played a good team...in the playoffs...and came up with a win. It was actually a very impressive team effort.
