  1. Agreed that they need to do a better job with the second half kickoff. As far as deferring, goes, that is something that Belichick really popularized. The idea is that you can control the clock at the end of the half. So, for example, if you get the ball with five minutes left in the first, you can intentionally burn enough clock so that you score a touchdown or attempt a field goal with virtually no time left in the half. Then, you get the ball to start the second. The idea is that you can have back to back long drives to give a big lead and wear out the defense.....but it doesn't work if the team punts right after getting the ball in the second half.
  2. Oh, it's OgleTREE? I thought it was this guy: Ogey
  3. Oh no...just heard the Jets signed Oglethorpe. This is an unscheduled surprise.
  4. Man....It's a little thing, but look at the way Josh just floats the ball out there for him. If he can do that consistently....under pressure...he is going to be very impressive.
  5. Probably. Just not sure how it works the first week....and I am goin' through some bad Bills DT's.
  6. Seems we should, at the very least, have a video from practice of a perfectly lofted Allen bomb to somebody. I'm worried the attempts to jump start the big ten season have Yolo distracted.
  7. Over the last 10 years, an avg. of 27 Americans have died from lightening per year. Over that time, the rate of African-American deaths from shootings is 31 per million. Even if there were only 1 million African-Americans in the country, and every person killed by lightning were black (seems unlikely) that would still be more deaths from police than lightning. There is the issue of unarmed...according to a 2012 report, most victims were armed (but African-American victims were much more likely to be unarmed) at about 15%....but that would still mean many more killed by police than lightning. But it sounds good, so.....
  8. I tend to agree with you...but I also remember the Bills opening the season as a much improved team that was going up against a Jets team that was predicted to be one of the worst teams in the league. It was Mario Williams first year...and they crushed us. So, I don't want to jinx it. I'll be happy with any win.
  9. Dane Jackson? Ohhhhh....the guy they drafted in the 7th. I COMPLETELY forgot about him. No training camp and no pre-season makes it easy to lose track of some of these end of roster guys.
  10. but...but...but...I thought THIS was your job...that you work for us. (You do understand that your posts are our lifeblood at this time of year, right?)
  11. STOP IT!!! I am convinced that there is TONS of Bills news out there, but that Yolo has cut us off for calling him a bot.
  12. Yeah, and my impression is that Diggs got a similar reaction when he wanted to work on things with Cousins. This is a pair that just might work.
  13. Seeing reports that his mother passed away.
  14. At the risk of having my credentials pulled....it is interesting that Roberts is in with the first team. It seems to me that Roberts and McKenzie have similar skill sets...both returners with the shiftiness that position requires. Yes, McKenzie has been better on the offense and used much more, but was an adventure when returning. I have been thinking about what receivers they will keep, and with the talent they have now, I wonder if keeping both is a luxury they can no longer afford. I think Foster is a goner...and if they keep 6, the coaching staff would keep one of Mckenzie/Roberts and Duke/Hodgins.
  15. Bills reporters tweets from yesterday (or at least the day before when there was an actual practice) were a lot more detailed. There was even a discussion earlier this week about the way reporters were cheating a bit to let readers know who was starting and where without actually saying it. Then Chris Brown happened....a shot fired across the bow, so I think Bills reporters are being especially careful today.
  16. I agree with the sentiment. Last year, everyone was sure Foster and/or Duke would get snatched up. I also agree with Fromm....and certainly think it is worth leaving him exposed. However, I am influenced by someone I heard talking pre-draft (sorry, don't remember who it was), but was asked who he thought was a late round player that could develop into a star and he talked about Hodgins. All it takes is for one team to think that and he's gone. As for Bass, yes he is a 6th round pick, but he was also the top ranked kicker in the draft on many boards, so again, if just one team has a need.
  17. Not true at all. There was only one Rough Riders. The other was the Roughriders. Completely different. Actually, the Roughriders are still around but the Rough Riders are not.
  18. Yeah, so who is getting him a limo to the Bills facility and who's working on getting him access? We need to get on this.
  19. If we're going the gofundme route, how about Hammer's Lot?
  20. I am guessing they will allow select members of the press cover camp...and if that is the case, someone needs to get that man press credentials. His reports are at least 10 times better than any other media coverage.
