  1. I agree. Thought this was his best throw of the game. The first throw, yes, he has to anticipate Davis coming open, but on this one Davis never really was open and he drops the ball in perfectly. That was an amazing throw.
  2. So, kind of the unmoving force meets the infinitely retreating object?
  3. Maybe. To me it looks like his lead foot also gets stuck in the turf. He rotates from looking at the middle of the end zone to McKenzie on the right side. His foot only makes it half way. Fatigue likely played a part.
  4. Ohhhhh....so Wilkins on Allen was just trying to make an early anniversary homage?
  5. Nonsense. Next you're going to try telling me that wearing my Josh Allen jersey, sitting on a particular side of the couch and what I eat and drink has NO effect on the outcome. Crazy talk.
  6. Maybe. However on Le Batard the other day they were talking about one of those next gen stats called "Ball Hawk Rate." It's something like percentage of targets that end in a tip or interception. They were using it to talk about Xavien Howard who is number one...but number two? Dane Jackson. Yes, I know it's a small sample size but we may have 4 really good corners. It will be the good kind of tough decision as to who starts.
  7. It looked to me like because it was tipped and off target, Knox thought it was intended for someone else. So he started for it but stopped thinking, "No I don't want to deflect a ball headed for x." Not sure who it was but there was another receiver close by.
  8. Yeah, I just looked it up. He did not go back in the game. However, he was out of practice on Wed and Thurs, practicing and still in protocol on Friday, but played on Sunday against the Titans. MANY of us were questioning that decision and it seemed they were rushing Josh back.
  9. Wouldn't he? Seems we had a similar situation a few years ago. Josh had a concussion and we thought he would need to sit out at least one game but then he played. It made a lot of us very uncomfortable. I don't remember the exact details but maybe someone can help me out here.
  10. I'm not a Dr. nor do I even play one on TV. However, I know we have some on this board who might provide some insights. I have had concussions and I would feel horrible for a day but would pretty much recover. I have heard others say they were in bed for a month. Reactions vary widely, I get that. What has me curious, though, is certain similarities between Tua's injuries that seem otherwise odd. I realize that with the Milano "hit" which was really not even a particularly violent shove, that Tua's head whiplashed in a classic contrecoup injury scenario. But even so, the hit to his head did not seem violent by NFL standards and with the equipment he has seemed odd that he was so wobbly. Then, even if you accept conspiracy theories about Dr.s allowing a concussed Tua to go back in, he did seem well enough to perform well in that second half. It wasn't like when Kelly tried to go back in and Thurman turned to the sidelines and gave the crazy symbol. Then, he's clearly to play last night and even though his reaction to the hit was horrific, he was quickly cleared to fly home. So, he seems easily concussed but quick to recover. Could he have some kind of underlying issue that might trigger a concussion...but then disappear? Almost like if you have a nerve that is easily pinched that can get pinched, causing severe symptoms but then seem to be cured quickly (though just waiting to be bumped the same way again)?
  11. Yeah back when I was a kid getting regular concussions in the 70s, the protocol was you were not allowed to sleep. You needed to stay awake and have your pupils checked every hour or so. I would have horrible headaches and get super sleepy. I just wanted to go to sleep but couldn't. they were monitoring for signs of a brain bleed and concerns I would slip into a coma. That's what we had to do BEFORE CT scans.
  12. I think the Kumerow injury really hurt. Gabe Davis brought virtually nothing (and probably shouldn't have played) and so by the end Diggs was completely worn out. We needed someone to spell him. It's one thing that has gotten overlooked and that I don't think anyone has mentioned, but we might be a little bit thin at outside receiver. We could've used at least one more yesterday. It hurt us at the end of the game.
  13. Do we know if he was sent to the tent to be evaluated by the Dr.? Some seem to be questioning that. And aren't there supposed to be spotters in the press box who look for this kind of thing? I remember a controversy a few years ago when the coach (don't remember who) said he didn't see his QB acting woozy. After the controversy that caused there were supposed to be spotters who would alert the sideline that the player had to be seen in the tent. Maybe someone remembers the details on this?
  14. They were looking at his hand on the sideline, but it looked to me like the toe on his lead foot got stuck in the turf as he tried to step into the throw causing it to go into the dirt.
  15. I think that makes sense and is actually really reasonable. Even if he IS going to be their franchise quarterback and is on his way to greatness, he is at a stage where he is going to have ups and downs. I understand Phins fans who are given hope by what they saw last week....they should feel like they have seen a flash of what could be. What drives me crazy is that there seem to be a lot who are saying, "That's it. He has figured it out and is going to be MVP and future hall of famer." This Sunday will be an interesting test for Tua, but he has many more tests to come before he is crowned as "the guy" in Miami.
  16. I don't understand why people can't comprehend that completing 4 touchdown passes in the fourth quarter means that Tua IS a great quarterback. I mean the last QB to accomplish that feat was the great Sage Rosenfels and he went on to....oh wait....never mind.
  17. I would argue that you want to blitz selectively. Particularly in the first game last year Tua was terrible recognizing blitzes. If he didn't get injured I thought he might get killed. Guys like Milano were running in unblocked. I agree that with those receivers you want the most guys possible in coverage as a rule, but need to blitz just enough to see if Tua is better at recognizing and to get in his head...make him rush.
  18. That's what it looked like to me when they showed the angle from the end zone looking back at the play. I don't know if it really WAS unintentional or faked unintentional...but yeah looked like a shoulder bump looking back. The first angle made it look worse.
  19. The thing with Allen is that the kind of sack is as important as the number of sacks. Often Allen will try to step through a gap that will close before he makes it all the way through. He therefore gets tackled behind the line of scrimmage (1 to 4 yards) and it is a loss, but not one of those devastating sacks that are 10 yards back.
  20. I did not watch much, so maybe you can tell me. Did Lewan suck? I was mainly watching Steelers Bengals or Phins Pats and would occasionally watch Red Zone. When I did see this game on Red Zone, it seemed like bad things were always happening around Lewan...penalties or getting beat. Wondering what you saw.
  21. Very understandable and deserved. Enjoy the games. I'll appreciate these when they are here and get it when they aren't...and hold off on the wellness check request if I don't see one.
  22. I wasn't sure you were going to continue doing these this year...but I am glad you are. Always a good read. Much appreciated.
  23. Could be he thought he knew the route or could be he said to himself: Josh is running at 13mph around the corner getting ready to sweep us. What is just going to fling a 50 yard pass while running and off his back foot? Uhhhhh yep. OR, he WAS supposed to have safety help but the above is what the safety was thinking.
  24. I commented about Josh's decision making in the "can't make a pre-snap read" thread....which, since the last part of the year, is nonsense. He is great at it. It's what allows those quick throws. He knows where to go with the ball immediately even when the defense changes. I was thinking it, but dared not say it...but then Collinsworth said it last night. Josh looks Brady-like in his decision making...but with the best arm in the game. Woof.
