  1. This is the problem with people who think they know more than those that do this for a living. Simply, we need wr and rbs. Just because we signed Shakir doesn't mean we won't sign Cook. And while we don't know the specifics yet, I doubt Shakir will be 15mm on the cap this coming season. Shakir is very valuable to this offense. I'm glad we signed him.
  2. Different positions have different value. I want to sign cook to an extension, but this comparison is apples and oranges. Cook will get a nice contact from us, I don't think he's going anywhere.
  3. I have to wonder if Bernard is going to get a 2nd contract. Not sure it's the right move.
  4. I thought that they didn't want them? Too many injuries. The 35 yard line start is significant, gonna have to kick off in play now.
  5. Are Rapp and Bishop safeties on a super bowl team? Not sure that they are as of today. If we can improve on Rapp, gotta do it. Bishop will get his chance because he's a high draft pick.
  6. He was improving each week last season. I felt very comfortable with him in the playoffs. He's an impact player, wouldn't consider trading him. Improve the Dline, Milano battles for all pro again.
  7. Me? No idea, but a 4 year extension, with a low cap hit the first 2 years means 3 years of affordability. We haven't had a dynamic runner since Shady. 12 million AAV? Saquon signed a 3 year deal for $36, no cap hit over 10 million because of void years. It's doable
  8. He's had a 10 year career, led the league in tds 2 seasons ago. No need to worry about age with Cook. Give him a 4 year extension.
  9. Benford for sure. Cook next. Not sure Bernard is good enough for a 2nd contract, I think we need to see a big season in 2025 to justify. Shakir is excellent, but until Brady decides open up the passing game, gotta wonder if he's worth a big contract. Could justify a Hollins extension because of his special teams play adding to his value.
  10. Saquon had 1 , one thousand yard rushing season in his last 5 before signing the Eagles deal. I think we'd both agree that he's a great RB, but did he deserve that contract based on his last 5 seasons, also had an ACL in the past, only played 2 full seasons until this year... Barkley also has 4 void years, which allows for an overpay. I doubt Cook will get 15mm anywhere, just because he tweeted it. But I still believe he's an elite back that we should make every attempt to sign.
  11. I understand what change of pace means, but you cast be a change of pace until you know what the pace of the rb ahead of you is. I'm gonna guess that ty Johnson is a change of pace from cook, Davis is a change of pace from cook... it's kinda meaningless as a term. How is he a selfish player? What has he said or done?
  12. That's just wrong, that's not how sports works. New contracts set the price. Look where Allen ranks in QB salary. Certainly most qbs earning more than he does aren't him.
  13. Saquon has a 3 year 36million contract, no season is over 10 million cap hit, this past season was under 7, year 2 around 10, year 3 under 8 million. It can be done. Yep, totally glossed over all those holes. I don't care about them, whatever they might be.
  14. Maybe I'm missing something, but Is everyone getting bent out of shape over a tweet? And I'll repeat. You can can sign him for example to a 4 year, 60 million extension, and probably not feel the heat to the cap for 2 to 3 seasons. The cap will continue to rise, in 3 years, we'll likely have Dawkins, Milano, Samuel off the books. Basically, the contract isn't executed in a vacuum, lot of other factors come into play. I doubt we'll spend big on WR, so need to have an elite rushing attack and I think Cook is elite.
  15. You're taking over negotiations? Make a good deal please So, he's great inside the 20 and cab break 60 yard runs... but that's not good enough. Jesus
  16. He had 6 tds over 10 yards, 4 of those over 40, one over 60. So really don't think that the defensive scheme has much to do with it. 7 TD's from inside the 5. Normally, teams laud players who can punch it in from close. It's just wrong to dismiss that to poor defensive play calling.
  17. Do you think Davis will give us 21 TDs? If Brady stays away from having an elite passing game, we'll need dynamic running backs. Cook isn't easily replaced.
  18. Not sure what pure means, he's a great runner, elite. 21 TDS, how many running backs do that? With one year left on his rookie deal, a well constructed contract probably won't have a high cap hit for a few years. I'm confident we'll sign him to a good contract, he's too good to let go.
  19. It might be 15mm AAV, but cap hits the first couple years can be modest, add that with yearly cap increases, might not be a bad deal. He's really good, I want to keep him. I think if they used him differently in the passing game, he'd be really good. He had some really nice receiving plays, just not enough of them. That's on Brady.
  20. If KC is serious about keeping him, they'll probably need to offer more than 1 year.
  21. We've had mostly good line play, when healthy. Also, this season, our defense had a lot of turnovers, that helped hide many of our shortcomings on defense.
  22. No big deal, you've seen one, you've seen them both.
  23. Unless he has a big year, I don't see Bernard getting a 2nd contract. Shakir and Benford should stay, Cook definitely, not sure about Rousseau, but he's pretty solid and that's OK.
