  1. The reason I picked the last 4 games was that I felt that they were games where he's had an opportunity to put his philosophy into the game plans in more detail. I don't disagree with you otherwise.
  2. probably covering their butts. I don't think it would surprise anyone if Belichick backed out at the last minute, leaving them hanging.
  3. I agree it's a more well rounded offense. But any oc worth his salt should accomplish that with the talent available. Maybe he's the guy, I don't know.
  4. It's not cherry picking, I agree is an inexact science, but it's also after he's had an opportunity to put his stamp on the game. I'm not crapping in the guy, but we can't afford to make the Dorsey mistake again.
  5. It's not 20 , 24, 27 and 21. 4 last regular season games.
  6. That's a good question. My guess is having any sort of success with a very good organization looks great on a resume. He's clearly helped Josh during the 2nd half of the season.
  7. I think Moore is getting HC interviews, so he might be tough to get, but I'd like him too. Chances are he'd be one and done though. We'd win our 2nd straight super bowl and he'll definitely get a HC job.
  8. If McDermott thinks he's the best option, I'd trust him. I just don't want to use the same logic as before. I questioned the Dorsey hiring at the time, and I would question this if they didn't at least see if there are better options available. We haven't been lighting up the scoreboard under Brady, and this is an amazing opportunity that many coaches would jump at. I'm just saying to take advantage of the opportunity and hire the best available OC, be it Brady, Reich or someone else.
  9. Honestly, haven't put much thought into it other than Reich. But lots of coaches lost their jobs last week and there are probably a lot that I don't even know of. But I'm sure there is talent out there.
  10. Just curious how you respond to posts when pretty much everytime a black assistant gets an HC interview and some asshat immediately dismisses the interviewee as a Rooney Rule candidate. Happened quite a bit earlier this week when Frazier was interviewed.
  11. Didn't we use that logic with Dorsey too? It's not like our offense has been lighting up it, it's just that Brady loosened the reigns on Allen, which any of us would have done the same. I'm not ragging on Brady, but I'm not overly impressed and would love the opportunity to get a great, established OC. Uh oh, someone's feelings get hurt?
  12. He seems good, but an OC job opening to coach Allen, Diggs, Kincaid, Cook... would attract the best of the best. I'd consider it a tremendous opportunity for the team.
  13. The White Billionaire Rule, must interview inexperienced white coaches to satisfy their personal criteria.
  14. Kincaid needs to be featured. He's a big play receiver.
  15. He's definitely struggling as of late. I'm very concerned about our line overall.
  16. I'm a big fan of Williams. Thought he looked great in preseason, really solid last week. He flys all over the field and is a very aggressive tackler. Not a lot of experience but dynamic abilities.
  17. Nobody serious said that Allen is a turnover 'machine'. I think Bills fans add that word to get themselves more upset. Allen having turnover issues is a valid criticism. Also, many pundits are picking the Bills to win this weekend also to get to the Super Bowl. Stop looking for reasons to get mad, enjoy the 6 game win streak and huge home playoff game against a great rival. Doesn't get much better than this.
  18. It took 18 games to finally get him the ball past the line is scrimmage. They telegraphed every play to him before Monday's game. He could be a big play guy Sunday.
  19. I don't think there is a perfect solution. Unfortunately, decades of not even considering interviewing minority candidates has brought this on. Organizations used to only interview white people and many of them were really awful coaches, but they were white and they gave them an unfair advantage. Even a minor attempt to level the playing field is a step forward. And it's not like the coaches they are interviewing are unqualified, they have to be almost perfect, while crappy, white coaches get multiple opportunities.
  20. Besides interim coach Pierce, the Raiders have interviewed 2 other minority coaching candidates. Are all 3 of them just to satisfy the Rooney rule or are do you just assume black coaches aren't deserving of an interview based on their abilities?
  21. I think it's as simple as he's never taken a snap in the NFL, never punted or held in a game. It's a huge risk to bring someone like that in such an important game.
  22. That's not the point. If he plays, he's probably healthy enough to be effective, else they wouldn't play him.
  23. I thought I heard McDermott say that Dodson was closer to playing yesterday than Douglas, and Douglas says he's ready to play next week.
  24. This should be real obvious to any football fan.
