  1. Got it, thanks. But technically it's not 2 firsts in the same year, as far as regular draft is concerned, which is the discussion here.
  2. I think it's stretch to call the supplemental draft the equivalent of the regular draft.
  3. I think I could say with confidence that no team would ever pick 2 QB's in the first round.
  4. the team will have a large turnover this season, they need to hit on most of those changes.
  5. the Beane quote about the team still have a long way to go can't be overstated enough. This will be a very different looking team next season, the defensive front 7 will have a total revamp, 2-3 changes on the Oline, RB, QB, WR.... a lot of changes.
  6. this article has Lowell as a NT, so if true, he's not a fit.
  7. If you read the article you linked, he's projected late 1st early 2nd. Jack and Jim Youngblood played together on the Rams in the 70's.
  8. Not trying to start an argument, but Woods signed with the Rams in March, Whaley fired in April and Watkins declined by new regime in May. Very likely Whaley intended to pick up the option.
  9. I'm not going to rag on Peterman, but he probably had as many snaps as any other backup would. He was put in a virtually impossible situation.
  10. I guess big contract for a #2 WR when the #1 WR is making an anticipated $12MM. At the time of Woods leaving I assumed we were keeping Watkins and didn't think the team wanted to spend that much on their WR. I didn't calculate other teams positional spending in regards to ours. I just didn't think they wanted 2 big contracts at WR. I would have loved to have kept Woods, just explaining what I thought they were thinking. I don't believe we had a lot of cap space either.
  11. I would have run the ball.
  12. it would have required a big contract to keep Woods, we already had Watkins. I liked Woods but understood letting him go. Same with Goodwin, didn't earn his raise here. Front office makes a lot of blunders over the years, not sure how they could have kept these two. We would have an incredibly expensive WR group.
  13. I just used Dareus as an example because earlier(later?) in the game, he blasted past Wood to get McCoy for a loss. And we often get tackled for losses in what seem to be obvious run formations. And Dareus had a strong game.
  14. I'm not a fan of Dennison's playcalling or play designs this season and there are plenty of reasons to criticize him, however I don't think this is one of those. We had the matchup we wanted, a huge physical advantage for Benjamin, it was poorly executed by both Taylor and Benjamin. On a run play , Dareus could have easily blown past Wood(again) for a loss in the backfield. It's all about execution.
  15. Good list. I expect 2 to 3 new linemen next season. Wood replaced in 2 years.
  16. that looked incomplete to me.
  17. I've always stuck up for Taylor when i felt it was justified. He had a horrible game yesterday. Yes, there was plenty of blame to go around, but he was really bad, when we needed him to step up.
  18. poor throw by Taylor, bad play by Benjamin on the PI- we had a good matchup, didn't execute.
  19. Agree or disagree with the play call- the issue is execution. We are often hit for a loss on running plays, but the pass was poorly thrown and benjamin, with his height advantage didn't need to push off. We had the matchup we wanted, just poorly executed all around.
  20. In your simple mind, it can only be one of these 2 choices?
  21. People come up with impressions with no basis of fact all the time, i probably do it myself. It helps people form the discussion around the narrative that's most comfortable for them to argue . that's really getting off topic.
  22. what have I lied about? Basically this whole thread has moved off the original topic, in summary I went off on racists and my distaste for racism and I'm getting blasted for it.
