  1. I had this feeling going into the Bengals game that the team was going to fall flat. I hated being right. Just one week before the Bengals a large number of us felt that McDermott was coach of the year just to get us to that point through all of the diversity. I still feel he deserved being nominated and does not deserve all of the bashing that some fans are sending in his and his staff’s direction.
  2. Well to me this is a move to add a new voice and outsider who may have some fresh eyes on our defensive system. It may also mean Frazier is on his way out by next year.
  3. I agree. That was a reaction I had to the article. It appears to me that Jessica is the future for the Bills and Sabres.
  4. https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/nfl-free-agency-2023-one-player-each-team-should-prioritize-signing-in-offseason/ I really don’t think this is the priority. There is no consideration for the Bills cap in this piece. Seems like a lazy analysis.
  5. Seems to me that one of the issues in the backfield may be communication. If so that is usually the responsibility of the safeties. Therefore likely coaching of that position was lacking. I wouldn't be surprised if there is more to come including Frazier being moved away from and another internal promotion made with other changes to follow.
  6. I didn't say they learned anything from the 9 minutes. But they didn't think they had a bad game plan. If they lost they had a better chance of learning that. I don't think either team learned an awful lot from that disaster of a regular season game if you could call it that. I am also speaking more to the effect the whole incident had on our team and the situation going into that playoff game. I'm not focused on reactive firing of people.
  7. As discussed it seems everywhere there are holes to fill and improvements to be made that became apparent as the season progressed. They started out on fire and seemed to slowly run out of gas as things unfolded and created so much to overcome. The biggest of them all to me was what happened to Damar. To me he was on the right team with the right leadership, fanbase and owner for it to be the best possible outcome for him and I believe our nation. It was something that brough a lot of together. The unfortunate thing is that it took a whole lot of energy out of the team. Personally I was upset that the young man may have died immediately. I also couldn't help but think that so did the Bills' season in that moment. How do you mentally recover from that? How do you continue to be aggressive on the field knowing what happened to Damar? I know that there were plenty of sports psychologists helping them, but do you recover this quickly? It just shook the team and Billsmafia to the core. There is another dimension to this. Not finishing the game. Of course it could not be done. No question on that. However, without that incident let's say the Bengals go on to win? Well we do learn a lot from the experience about them. The Bills have come back and beaten the Jets and Miami with a second chance. It is hard to beat a team twice in this league. If the Bills come back and win the game then they would have had more confidence and energy for the second meeting. The Bengals would have been already "put in their place". Also they may not have had to face them again. We also wouldn't have all of the hurt feelings by the Bengals that they weren't given respect with the neutral site game and such. So all in all give the players, the coaches and the GM some slack. They are still a talented team. Beane is still one of the best GMs in the league and we are still lucky for those players to have a leader like Sean McDermott. Go Bills in 2023!
  8. AXE ALS website is where to make donations. You can honor Tee Higgins while doing it. https://axeals.org/
  9. I was thinking a good band name.
  10. I had the same thoughts watching the game yesterday. These last several games are better preparation for the playoffs than the blowouts. Besides I think all of the defenses in the NFL are peaking right now except for a couple.
  11. Loved Jack Kemp. A true leader and strong will to win. Helped us win those two AFL World Championships. I became a Bills fan in 1962.
  12. Huh the great Eagles lost a divisional game. Hurts must be terrible, the Eagles defense sucks and they need to fire the coaching staff.
  13. I became a fan in 1962 and Kemp became a hero of mine. He is a legend and so instead of picking a current player at the time or anything else I wanted to honor one of the three greatest QBs in Buffalo Bills history. I also wanted to indicate just how long I have been a fan.
  14. And instead of following the blockers he ran to the hole they created by design. Moss in particular follows the blockers too often instead of to where the play was designed to be run.
  15. Yes yes yes. I was thinking the same thing. There have been holes like that in the season where Moss especially missed the opportunity. Good vision by the kid.
  16. I hope they cancel it. Usually the best players won't play because they still have to play in a more important game or they are injured or they just don't want to participate in the farce. Just select the All Pros and say huzzah!
