  1. Lol, whenever I read through the options I cringe. The hotel situation in Buffalo is better than it was when Tom Brady’s dad trashed it, but only incrementally. The Embassy, Westin, Courtyard downtown, the Curtiss and the Marriott downtown would probably be at the top of my short list. I’m not boujee about most things, but certainly hotels. I have watched too many internet videos on bed bugs and bodily fluids, to be comfortable anywhere. 🤣🤣
  2. Add a layer to it, it’ll be tough to trade out of 4 because no one wants to move up for the first player in the next tier. They honestly should consider Graham or Jeantty. They are better players than what is on the board IMO. Maybe they take an upside guy like Walker. I think that I want them to take Campbell.
  3. Yeah, they’re in a tricky spot with him. The Giants probably have to take Carter or Hunter. It sounds like the Browns are going to take Hunter. it’s pretty close to the top 3 picks being a lock Ward to Hunter to Carter. The draft gets interesting at 4. The Giants can try to trade out of 3. I would have put the pick out for bid had it not been 11 PM. It did not seem to be a good idea to hold up the draft overnight while waiting for a deal that’s unlikely to happen anyways. Thibodeaux is now eligible for an extension as he’s entering year 4. The Giants can avoid having to overpay and still use him as an asset. They can upgrade at edge, while flipping Thibodeaux to upgrade somewhere else. They can do this before having to commit to a 2nd contract for Thibodeaux.
  4. With the 3rd pick, the New York Giants select Abdul Carter, Edge, Penn State. It’s a position of strength for our team already but can’t pass on elite talent. @BuffaloBillyG is on the clock
  5. The Giants accept 🤣🤣
  6. Giants patriots steelers
  7. Thanks @Virgil!! This was great again. I actually enjoyed walking away hating the Bills draft 🤣🤣.
  8. With the 93rd pick, the New Orleans Saints select, Savion Williams, WR, TCU. We have our QB, and someone to protect him, now we get someone to catch balls from him. We take the physical freak in Savion Williams to be a big target to help Shadeur jumpstart his career. We’ve done well with the versatile, 35 year-old, Taysom Hill. Now we add another former QB with similar traits that can fill that role moving forward as Taysom is in his last season. We are thrilled to add him to the team. @Motorin' and the Cleveland Browns are on the clock.
  9. With the 71st pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, the New Orleans Saints select, Marcus Mbow, OT, Purdue. We added our QB earlier and are happy to add a versatile OL to play in front of him. @GunnerBill and the Chicago Bears are on the clock.
  10. Well said! That’s the larger point. We have a lot of good players and very few elite players.
  11. Just doing it based on this mock. He was here. It’s like anything, you have no idea who will be there in the real draft. I agree on your thoughts as to how this went. @MrEpsYtown mentioned it earlier in one of the threads. We tend to overdraft guys that we’ve been talking about. It’s not unrealistic though the way this has fallen. It was more of an observation that when you prioritize need at one position vs. BPA (pretty much anywhere but QB & OL) you’ll end up with more talent on the roster. In this situation we drafted a good player in Amos but left a better player on the board. That started the trickle down. Watts was BPA in my opinion but not as big of a need. Now, we may reach on a guy that could go a round later because of need. We talk so much about BPA vs. need and then when given the same challenge, we went need first. 🤣🤣
  12. If the Bills start Amos, Watts, Farmer, 75% of TBD will be calling for Beane’s head 🤣🤣. We screwed up the 1st and couldn’t dig out the way that the board fell. Nolen, Porter, Bond > Amos, Watts, Farmer
  13. I voted Bond. Prior to last season he looked like he would be a 1st. He has a skillset that the Bills still need and plays a position of dire need. I don’t think Farmer is great. Obviously the Bills have spent a lot of time with him but that’s not a reason to take him. Bond to me, is the best player, at a position of need. Beyond that, his skillset within that position is the skillset that the Bills need as opposed to another 3T.
  14. Miami, to me, is still probably the 2nd best team.
  15. 4th in YAC is great; it resulted in the 84th most YPC. That’s the point!! His routes are designed for YAC. He’s tough and has elite hands. He’s really good after the catch. I’m not overrating that though because when you catch screens and other short routes you should have more YAC, than Josh Palmer, for example who is catching the ball down the field. Shakir is good at what he does. He’s a role player not a difference maker.
  16. He’s overrated because he’s the Bills top receiving option. I’m not sure that this is confusing? If you look at him through the lens of the slot, I agree. There are HUNDREDS, if not THOUSANDS of posts on this board overrating him. He’s a great slot, as is Taron. That’s not as important as someone on the outside (unless you’re Amon-Ra St. Brown). Shakir is a role player, and a good one. He should absolutely, 100% not be the top receiving target on a championship type of team. The Bills have acted if that’s okay to this point. Now, his extension is a good one and commensurate with the level of player that he is. $15M AAV is what a good complementary piece, at a less important position makes. I am in no way disparaging Shakir. He’s a top 10 player on this team and arguably a top 5 player at his position. He’s a great role player. He absolutely has become overrated to Bills fans as was Mack Hollins (who is just a guy) and Ty Johnson who is another quality role player on a good contract. We shouldn’t confuse important pieces with difference makers. Shakir isn’t a difference maker. He’s a rich man’s Beasley. Where would you rank Coleman and Palmer as a boundary duo? I don’t think that they are top 30.
  17. To Bills fans… He is very good!! There are 25 teams that have a better top receiving option than Shakir. That’s not his fault. He’s really good at what he does. He’s still a 76 catch, 821 yard WR that scored 4 times. That’s 40th in yards, 27th in receptions, tied for 62 in TDs, 38th in targets and 84th in YPC. He’s Robin and some treat him as Batman.
  18. I think you’re making his point (and I like Shakir a lot). He’s a top 5 slot receiver. Bills fans sometimes act like he’s a top 10 receiver. He’s a more explosive Beasley. Shakir is a high end role player. He’s not an elite receiver.
  19. 100% agree. You always take the better player. The biggest need is CB but it isn’t the only need. The irony is that the round 2 poll is the exact same thing!! Do you draft the bigger need in Farmer or the better player in Watts? We went bigger need in round 1.
  20. Great topic!! Overrated by hardcore TBD types: Rousseau Underrated by hardcore TBD types: Dorian Williams Overated by the general public that doesn’t know the Bills: Kincaid Underrated by the general public that doesn’t know the Bills: Josh Allen (if that is too obvious Spencer Brown)
  21. This is why I think that these threads are the best on the board all year. For months we have been talking about a CB & DT early along with edge and WR. Here we are doing it and started with the CB. Just before the Bills picked, the next 2 “targets” went off the board. Maybe you’re onto something in that people draft who they are familiar with because they are Bills targets but it’s also realistic. There haven’t been a lot of “reaches” at this point. There rarely are. Generally the board does a pretty good job with these. Now if the draft fell this way, I can’t imagine the Bills would be thrilled. In hindsight it should have been Nolen and Porter. With that being said, if the Bills went DT in the first, I suspect TBD, unintentionally, may have had a run on CBs instead of DTs. Either way, it’s super interesting and is a great reminder to go BPA at any position with some need before drafting to fill a spot and then BPA later.
  22. Lol, this is the second time that I commented and missed a guy going. I’m an idiot. I’ll just 🤐
  23. This feels like it would be Landon Jackson but I didn’t see him. The Bills clearly like him. It’s a tough spot because some of the big run stuffers are off the board. I don’t want to reach for need again. I voted Watts because I think he could be like Poyer or Hyde. I like his game a lot and it’s an important part of the defense. I don’t think Bishop is good so Watts is an upgrade. If Bishop is the guy that they think Watts and Bishop is the new Hyde and Poyer. If not, Rapp is serviceable and can play with him and keep Bishop as the 3rd.
  24. Yeah, that’s kind of where I’m at. Most like Harmon over Grant. They are both good players but Harmon is further along. It’s not really a controversial decision. Now, if he said that he liked Kaleb Johnson over Jeanty, or something like that, it would be controversial.
