  1. … and @Bill from NYC will lose his mind
  2. Why would you expect him to not keep adding? This move was about raising the floor, not the ceiling. That will come in the draft. The Bills are better there today than they were yesterday.
  3. I have no issue with this at all. He’s a quality depth corner. Do I want him as CB2? No. Are they better at the position today than they were yesterday? Yes.
  4. Whether you’d rather get younger or more explosive isn’t the point I was responding to. I agree with that. Kupp isn’t a perfect fit. I was responding to the thought, that if he were here, he’d play behind Coleman and Palmer. He wouldn’t. He’s better than both of them today.
  5. While I don’t think that he comes here, the thought that he would play behind Coleman/Palmer is ridiculous. Kupp would be the Bills number 1 WR immediately. He’s not a perfect fit but, if you extrapolate out his numbers over 17 games from last year, it’s 95 catches on 142 targets, 1,006 yards, 9 TDs. He’s not the player that he was a few years ago, but as good or better than anyone on the roster currently. The problem is he’s primarily a slot. He could play outside though. The price tag likely isn’t worth it unless he accepts a short term “prove it” deal like Bosa.
  6. Chris Johnson was even faster. Why wasn’t he a field stretcher? There’s nuance to it. Can he make a few plays down the field? Probably. Keon is better down the field than Samuel and is much slower. It isn’t just speed. Palmer is the guy to do that now. He has been really good down the field.
  7. Chris Johnson ran a 4.2. He was a RB. It’s a different skill set. Samuel is a chess piece. He’s Deebo-like. He isn’t as physical and is faster. Samuel isn’t going to be the field stretcher.
  8. He runs fast but he isn’t a speed guy. He’s a converted RB. Samuel is good with the ball in his hands.
  9. S was bad last year. It was a problem. We are running it back at this point. They should have upgraded here and still can but early signs are 🤢. They are banking on Bishop becoming a good player. He was a bad player last year. Rapp is okay but just okay. The secondary is still bad.
  10. He’s coming off of a great year. Just saying, he could fit on a short term deal
  11. It’s hard not to like this deal. Obviously he’s had injury issues. The Bills didn’t need more guys, they needed some dudes. A healthy Bosa is a dude. It’s a 1 year deal and a big swing. You need to have some luck to win a title. If he stays healthy that would constitute, some luck.
  12. That’s part of the reason that I think the draft is more likely. You hope to find a guy that can play on a rookie deal. There are DTs throughout this draft. I think that they draft 2 although I’m not sure that 1 will be in the first. There’s too much depth there. I think it’s possible that they don’t take one until day 3 and the board will lose its mind. They need an edge which is also expensive.
  13. Maybe if they go with a pure speed guy. If one of the top guys slips in 1 or 2, it is still on the table. Obviously there’s work to do on the DL still and CB2. They need another S as well. It is only day 2 of FA.
  14. The offense is still 1 WR short. They traded Hollins for Palmer. Palmer is an upgrade but there is still a need at WR. Otherwise, I agree (assuming the Cook situation is worked out).
  15. It doesn’t include Josh’s deal either which is the big 1. After the extensions, the cap guys were saying that they were $20Mish under and needed about $2.5M for the draft. I’d suspect that they currently have like $13M of cap space to play with.
  16. Kenneth Gainwell
  17. Holland to Giants https://x.com/adamschefter/status/1899432409671573703?s=46&t=aIi6rXjE4r9_s--847m7fQ
  18. I like both additions so far. The Bills are better today. I still think that they need more top end talent but they added upside.
  19. Mack played hard. Mack was an interesting character. Mack was great in the locker room. Mack overperformed for his talent. Mack is a WR 5 or 6. All of that is true. We loved him for who he was here and how much effort he gave. He’s a bottom of the roster player. The Bills WR room is better today than yesterday. I wish Mack well but Palmer adds a dynamic that they didn’t have. Keon will have to develop into the role that Mack played (and then some). He’s going to have to be physical and a gamer. The Bills will miss the person but not the player.
  20. They just signed him I think. Walker obviously fits their timeline but are they paying them both??
  21. I’m in the trade market if I’m the Bills. They have $ to spend and nowhere to spend it. The window is wide open. I’d be looking to average to bad teams, with new leadership. Give them picks in exchange for veterans that don’t fit their timelines. What would it take to get Travon Walker from the Jags for example?
  22. Probably posted but this is good: https://x.com/scottbarrettdfb/status/1899179015157760132?s=46&t=aIi6rXjE4r9_s--847m7fQ
