I think that the present is fine for the Bills. They’re flawed (no wrs, bad kicking game, key injuries, coaching lapses) but everyone is flawed. As long as they have 17, they can win as soon as this year. In terms of the future, one of the most underrated positives, is that the division is about to fall off a cliff. The Jets are all in on a 1 or 2 year timeline. They don’t look good enough now. Miami is all in as well and it hasn’t worked. They paid $55M a year to an average QB. New England is miles away but did take Maye early. If Maye is the guy, they’re probably the competition for the 2nd half of this decade. If he can’t play, they stink forever.

I think that Cooper can be had for maybe like a 4th or 5th. The price may drop closer to the deadline. I see no reason to not pull the trigger now. He would get off the plane as the best player at their weakest position. Cooper would instantly upgrade this offense. If it’s too expensive to bring him back, let him walk and draft a WR in the 1st. Between Cooper and Adams, I expect at least one of them to end up on KC. They need a top receiver with Rice and Hollywood out.

So you think that they just need a guy to get down the field? Basically a replacement for MVS? From what I’ve seen he’s been open down the field.

Are you suggesting that the Jets would trade, a productive, 24 year-old, top 10 pick? Are they doing this to appease their 40 something QB? Of course not

He’s coming off of a 1,250 yard season. He’s had 1,100+ yards in 4 of the last 5 seasons. What are you talking about, “work it takes to be good?”

This is where it has to go. Teams are going to take from the Ravens. They are going to send guys and challenge the Bills WRs to win. They aren’t going to sit in two-high and allow time for someone to shake free. They are going to come after the Bills and bet that their coverage can hold up long enough without having extra bodies deployed to help. Those bodies will be near the LOS and blitzing. The Bills will have to adapt and evolve. Right now, I don’t believe that the talent is there for the Bills to make that work. Hopefully there are some scheme adjustments (like @Simon’s suggestion) that neutralize this.

The tricky part is that he has ALWAYS been more of a “gadget guy” than a boundary receiver. He was a RB at Ohio State. He is like Deebo. The Bills have no idea how to use him. He should be used in a variety of ways. He should get 3 or 4 carries a game. He should catch 1 or 2 screens and 1 or 2 slants. Get the ball in his hands 8 times a game.

It’s been here for months. The other one is like 200 pages. It’s less about “these guys suck” and more about “are these guys good enough?” Those of us that have been skeptical, aren’t riding the roller coaster each week. We we are looking at the body of work. Shakir is Beasley that can run after the catch. Coleman has good body control and is covered like a blanket every play. They have no idea what to do with Samuel. MVS and Hollins are scrubs.

A humbling night all around. The coaching staff has been awesome. They were atrocious tonight. The OL had a rough night. The pass catchers are bad. They’re going to have to make a move. Bass probably needs to be replaced. The LBs had a bad night. Even still, if you told me that the Bills would be 3-1 through 4 games, I would have signed up for that. Need to win 1 of the next 2.

That's on Brady. You had the momentum and a team that has let teams back into games. Instead, you ended that and the game. If the Bills just played offense we would be looking at a 1 possession game.
