  1. I’m surprised that people are surprised that the team president would be at the table? EVERY team president is at the table. It just shows how out of touch and uneducated the TBN staff is. It wouldn’t take much research to realize that is the case with every single team. Either that or they are trying to attract clicks, which is poor “journalism” too.
  2. Huh, that’s odd. It must just randomly put guys together. EDIT: I just took it again and had different match-ups. Now it is really stupid.
  3. He was the good QB in that twosome (with RG3 I think). The stupid one was Watson and Luck. I don’t even know which one is supposed to be the mistake.
  4. I got 4 of 9. Quick question though is Luck or Watson supposed to be the bad QB?
  5. I’m saying that I have a pretty good pulse on that organization. FWIW, I have been in that war room when a pick was made before (it was John McCargo). I’m not even saying that it will be a good decision. I am just guaranteeing that it happens. It is a foregone conclusion. My only hope is that the price isn’t absurd. Rosen between 5 & 7 is the dream scenario for the Bills because they preserve assets. Allen at 2 is a nightmare scenario IMO. The best thing for the Bills (from their perspective) will be if the Giants pass on a QB or if the Browns take Allen at 1. The Bills want Darnold. They will pay a massive price for him if they can get him at 2. They have supposedly offered 3 1sts to the Giants. I don’t buy that though because there is no guarantee that Darnold is there. He is their target.
  6. He has already said that he is open for business. Then he can have Allen I guess. You are dealing in a lot of “what if’s” while I am saying what will happen. If Elway gets 12, 22 and a 2nd he’s taking it. I’m not sure that I would like that for Allen but it is what it is. I’d wager any amount of money that the Bills walked out of this draft with a “top 4” QB. Obviously, you aren’t as close to it from the Bills side as us but they have been committed to getting a guy for over a year. They loaded up on assets to ensure that it happens (and it will). I guarantee it. That doesn’t mean that it will be a smart or good decision. It is just what will happen. It is entirely possible that they pay a big price for Josh Allen. That doesn’t seem wise to me but that is the way that this regime is approaching this draft. They will get a QB.
  7. Okay, but if they say no they aren’t taking a 2nd QB in the top 4 picks so the point remains. Chubb or Barkley comes off the board at 4 and the Bills go to 5.
  8. Sure, but if the Bills decide they want pick 4 they can offer the Browns 12, 22,53, 56, 65 and 96. That would be, by far, the biggest price ever paid. I’m not saying that they will but the Browns can’t say no to an offer that the Bills put together. Otherwise the Browns take another player at 4 and the Bills start negotiating with Denver (who has said that they want to go back).
  9. That hasn’t been the case with other free agents. They go where they get paid. It’s irrelevant anyways because no good QBs are hitting FA.
  10. Darnold - Browns Rosen - Bills Allen - Broncos Mayfield - Jets Lamar - Saints
  11. The Bills have plenty of assets that they won’t miss out. If QBs go 1,2,3 (worst case scenario) the Bills pay a big price for 4. The likely scenario is that they go to 5 - 7 and pay a fraction of the price. The Bills have positioned themselves to not get shutout of QB. It is just a matter of what they have to pay.
  12. Why (other than good QBs don’t hit the market often)? The Bills though have always recruited well in free agency.
  13. Saw the first episode and was a little indifferent but I’m not ready to give up on it. Fun fact, Henry Winkler, Jay Leno, Norman Lear, Dennis Leary, and a host of others are Emerson grads just like uncle Kirby.
  14. I think that we’ve lost sight of what trades cost. The Bills are paying a big premium in that case: https://www.pro-football-reference.com/draft/draft_trade_value.htm
  15. I like this idea less and less as the off-season has played out. I think Darnold goes 1. Go to 5 or 6 and get Rosen (he’s my guy anyways). Preserve your 2019 pick because this team isn’t going to be great. Offer the Colts 12, 53, 65 and a 2019 4th. That’s more than enough. You still get your QB, LB, WR and OL before pick 100.

  17. Great topics JMC!! I like your predictions too. -The Bills take a RB before the end of rd 3. -The Saints take Lamar Jackson -Josh Jackson & Kolton Miller will be the last 2 in the green room (excluding Shaq Griffin).
  18. It depends what you like. If passing yards is your thing then no. If you like any yards, TDs and less INTs combined with a better record than he is. Troll on though bro.... Also, you and I had a bet that if Tyrod Taylor made $10M this year you wouldn’t post here anymore so bye...
  19. Not this draft (with the exception of maybe Chubb). Next year though will be for pass rushers what this draft is for QBs. You could land a star in that role in 2019.
  20. I didn’t start the conversation. I just don’t like when people lie so i check them. If you tell me turnovers and punts are the same I will call you out. If you say that the turnover battle doesn’t matter I will say that 78% of the teams that win the turnover battle win the game. If you don’t want me to chime in, don’t lie. His numbers are better than Tannehill as is his record. So you are definitely wrong (again).
  21. His record was above .500 going into last year. Unless you want to give Matt Cassel credit for taking 1 snap on a trick play (and Tyrod did start anyways). So you’re wrong. You debating that that he is a solid game manager is why I keep coming at you. There are a million things to support it including his $18M salary. He’s Tannehill or Dalton. We all agree that you can upgrade but to pretend that he is EJ or Losman just makes you look like you have an agenda. There is nothing that supports it.
  22. So, it’s intutitive? Your point might hold true if the Bills didn’t win more than they lost with Tyrod starting. Before you go into some rant about “they won despite him” they lost every game that he hasn’t started the last 3 years until Indy this year. So they barely beat an awful football team, at home, in a blizzard. They have losses to a bad Jets, a bad Jags, a decent Charger and decent Bengals team (at home). The Bills didn’t win “despite” Tyrod. He was (and is) a solid game manager. He’s a guy you can win with (as evidenced by his winning record) but don’t win because of. We are all hoping that the next guy is a guy that you win because of. Your constant lumping of Tyrod in with the other scrubs is why people always go at you. Let it go or continue to absorb facts disputing all of your posts.
  23. I would, but I’m sure that you’d agree a turnover is more likely to result in a TD than a punt. If not, there are plenty of facts that can be provided to confirm. Where we differ is I don’t care about “passing offense.” I care about points and wins. I don’t care if we win like Army or Navy. Last year the Bills offense regressed but top 10 DVOA and scoring in back-to-back years is plenty good enough for me. If we didn’t have Rex ruining the defense (should have just kept Schwartz) that team could have contended.
