  1. Maybe but at 1 & 4 they are probably going Allen & Chubb. I think that they get those 2 plus 22 and 65 (while sacrificing 35). They are the team that I think hesitates the most. The Browns would give up 5,350 on the JJ chart and get back 5,245. Maybe that is where you throw a 2019 4th (we have 2). FWIW, I really don’t like the old trade chart so I’m not sure why I keep using it.
  2. There are 9 pass rushers/defensive linemen that make more than the highest paid corner (and that is before Mack’s extension). There is 1 WR (Evans at 15), 9 DL/edge rushers and the rest QBs in the 21 highest paid contracts (in terms of guarantees).
  3. Except they know that 3 QBs are going before them. They either take Barkley at 2 or take those 2 picks and like it (while still getting Barkley). Before this day is over, you will all agree with me that this 4 team trade is the best deal for everyone.
  4. They are at 6 now and not 3. Pick 35 is almost a late 1. They want to go back supposedly. I don’t think that it will cost much more. FWIW on the JJ chart 12 & 35 = 1,750 and 6 = 1,600
  5. 1 2nd (56), and 1 3rd (96)...we would give next year’s 2nd as well
  6. It certainly can’t. In fact, I wonder if it is a 4 team trade? Browns get: 2, 6, 22, 65 Bills get: 1 Giants get: 4, 53, 2019 2nd Colts get: 12, 35 Who says no?
  7. It makes sense for the Browns imo as well. They can take 12 and 33 or 35 and go to 6. They still get Chubb and add 22 with 65.
  8. How about 12, 22 and 65 for 4? I’d sign up for that yesterday.
  9. I don’t know how the CBA reads. I don’t know when these guys are technically a part of the league. I am assuming that it isn’t until after they are selected. That’s why I’m not sure that will work.
  10. I don’t think that you could enforce that but I would think that you’d operate in good faith. It’s a small league and the last thing that you want to do is intentionally lie. I don’t think that it would be a good look to say, “we want Darnold” and then get them to trade back a spot and take Allen. You will have to make more deals in the future and your reputation matters. With that being said I don’t think that you want to look desperate either. That’s what happened to the Bears last year IMO. The word got out and the 49ers took advantage. They basically forced the Bears to pay a bloated price for a guy that they were going to get a pick later.
  11. Except because he pass rusher took the double team they have Moss doubled. The pass rusher did that (and forced the QB to deliver the ball early). That’s why they are paid like they are.
  12. Don’t you think when that pass rusher is “double or triple teamed” they’ve had a massive impact on everything else? There are guys running free and/or extra guys in coverage.
  13. Pass rusher They can impact an entire game plan in a way that others can’t.
  14. Damn, not Nordly!!
  15. No, you will be taking sacks, negative running plays, etc... With a bad OL you are constantly playing behind the markers. You need to be able to make big plays (which Shady is still capable of). You need to be able to make plays like this:
  16. Really good post John!! You hit the nail on the head.
  17. I specifically said, “he’s better than what we have” so don’t twist my words. I don’t think that the Bills record improves, even by a game with Dez. He’s a possession receiver at this point on a team that only has possession receivers. 2018 Dez isn’t 2012 Dez. If the Bills signed him I would expect about 65 catches for 650 yards and 6 TDs. That doesn’t move the needle. I’d rather add a young guy that can potentially add the big plays that the Bills desperately need. With this OL you aren’t going to be pounding out 16 play drives. You are going to have to make some chunk plays.
  18. He’s a mirror of Benjamin. They are big bodied, lumbering receivers that can’t separate. Adding Dez does nothing to change the Bills fortunes. There is still nobody to keep 11 guys out of the box. Dez could be the #1 on the Bills isn’t a credit to him; it is an indictment of the Bills receivers. He’s better than what we have but offers the same skills. If they add him, fine but if not, fine. Either way you need to add speed in the draft. This offense will not be able to consistently sustain drives. You are going to have to hit some home runs.
  19. The Bills are trying to corner the market on receivers that can’t separate.
  20. I think that this holds true on everything GB. Guys might remind you of someone but everyone needs to be judged on their own merits. There are successes and failures all over the map. You increase your chances of getting in right by putting guys in position to succeed.
  21. Yeah, I have no idea. I just remembered that Warner did. I don’t think that it is many.
  22. There are other better pictures but it is functionally the same grip. I saw an interview with Warner a few years ago on his grip.
  23. Didn’t know where to put this but it is pretty consistent with what we have been hearing:
  24. No, he would pick again at 56 or 65. The Bills are not going to just throw in a top 10 pick (which it almost certainly will be). They learned a lesson from the Texans. They may include the 2nd next year but it is entirely possible that the Bills win 5 games or less. They will add an elite talent in a loaded draft in 2019. This regime is ALWAYS looking at the big picture. They won’t don’t something foolish like that. They will give Cleveland an offer that is an easy decision and they will take it or won’t (assuming the Giants are good). The scenario that Hokie pitched above has every team leaving with the guy that they would take without a trade. It leaves Cleveland and the Giants with significant assets as well. The Giants and Browns absolutely can’t overplay their hands or they are going to end up with the same guy without the assets. It’s the same thing that the 49ers did to the Bears last year. They took what they could get so that the Bears could take Trubisky. If the Bears declined the 49ers were taking Thomas anyways. This is the point that we are missing. There is a good deal of leverage from the Bills too.
