  1. I’m all for logical arguments. There are people that disagree all of the time and bring strong arguments both ways. Those are based on facts though.
  2. Theilen is a Pro Bowl receiver. He had more catches and yards than AJ Green did this year.
  3. Please make it happen!! I will be so much happier if the Pats lose.
  4. I am 100% in agreement with everything that you said here. Next year, I’d say Reed and Gonzalez go in first ballot and 1 or 2 of those OL will get in as well.
  5. I said it elsewhere but I have no problem with it. Lattimore was unbelievable, played on an island and transformed an entire defense. I think White is a really good player and should be a Pro Bowler (could have been this year). With that being said I would have voted the exact same way that it finished. I don’t know many people that would have voted differently.
  6. I don’t know about Thurman but it’s absolutely why TO wasn’t. Some of those guys pretty much admitted it. Marvin Harrison shot a guy, had a worse career than TO (and got to play with Manning) and went in before him. The backlash about TO not getting in probably wore down some of those power-hungry, pencil-whippers. At least there is some justice.
  7. You don’t believe that do you? I see every Saints game being here and he transformed their defense. I think that White is an excellent corner. Lattimore is already one of the 4 or 5 best CBs in the league. It was like Revis Island when that was a thing. https://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000913840/article/marshon-lattimore-wins-defensive-rookie-of-year%3fnetworkId=4595&site=.news&zone=story&zoneUrl=url%3Dstory&zoneKeys=s1%3Dstory&env=&pageKeyValues=prtnr%3Daround-the-league%3Bteam%3Dbuf%3Bteam%3Dno%3Bconf%3Dafc%3Bconf%3Dnfc%3Bdvsn%3Dace%3Bdvsn%3Dncs%3Bplyr%3Dmatthew_ryan%3Bplyr%3Ddarrelle_revis%3Bplyr%3Dquintorres_jones&p.ct=Around+the+NFL&p.adsm=false&p.tcm=%23fff&p.bgc1m=%230964bf&p.bgc2m=%23053a74&sr=amp
  8. Yep, they wanted to lose and have flexibility from the contract guarantee. EJ got the job done to the tune of a 30-10 shellacking.
  9. Benched for 1 half is the truth. Ha ha, people will go to great lengths to distort reality to tell the story that they want to tell.
  10. Urlacher is in as well. He shouldn’t have been a 1st ballot guy.
  11. I don’t think any of the OL get in this year. Owens, Moss, Lewis and Jerry Kramer and I will say Lynch or Dawkins
  12. Ha ha, he gave me a bunch of free stuff so maybe that was his MO.
  13. It was Woody or Hojo I think. I gave the one guy’s daughter Hornets tickets and he sent her with a ton of Bills stuff. There were shorts, hoodie, gloves and a couple of t-shirts. I think Mazurek is there now.
  14. That’s where we disagree. The NFL is a “copycat league.” How many times has that cliche been thrown out? Teams will be all over the draft picks which is all the more reason that they will want an experienced bridge guy. In terms of the guaranteed dollars, good QBs never hit the market.
  15. I’d agree with this too. It may very well slow it. I’m not sure if it is better or worse for these bridge type of guys that FA is first? I’d say that it is probably worse. I think that pendulum is swinging though. After Osweiler and Glennon fell on their faces I’d think that teams would rather have more of a resume. This holds especially true after guys like Keenum, Foles and Bortles played for conference championships. Teams will start shifting the dollars away from boom or bust guys and towards guys that have some production. They will draft upside and invest in the higher floor.
  16. That’s the wild card though of FA coming first. If you are Arizona picking in the middle of the 1st what do you do? You probably secure a vet that can play a year or 2 in case you can’t get your guy. That is what the Bears did with Glennon. Cleveland & SF had picks before them and there was a chance that they got shutout. They signed a bridge guy in case and were able to get their guy. It all depends how the QB carousel goes. I’d venture to say that most of these teams (including the Bills) secure a veteran option prior to the draft. Cleveland, Denver, Jets, Bills, Arizona and maybe Jacksonville.
  17. I would argue that Glennon absolutely signed to be a bridge guy. That’s why they structured in to be able to get out easily.
  18. I don’t think that it is good but somewhere between Glennon ($18.5M) and Bradford ($22M) in terms of guaranteed money doesn’t seem crazy at all. $20M guaranteed likely keeps him somewhere for 2 seasons. That’s a bridge guy deal. Alex Smith was guaranteed $71M!! The market for QBs is insane.
  19. He’s committed to play for that number. He’s basically saying “yes, I will play for that or I will shop my services elsewhere.” It’s perfectly reasonable. Pay cuts do happen but as you said you started looking elsewhere. That is the standard. You agreed to work at your job for a certain amount of money, we all have. If that amount goes down you are no longer working in a situation that you agreed to. We all have the leverage to go somewhere else.
  20. Might be his last though. If he can go get $20M guaranteed elsewhere (which is about what I expect) it would be smarter for him than playing here for 1 year and $10M.
