Well Bill Simmons has bowed to Bills fans.....
Kirby Jackson replied to Billsfan1972's topic in The Stadium Wall
Bill Simmons is still a thing? He was good 20 years ago. He hasn’t mattered for a decade+. I’m not ready to make that Masshole relevant. -
I’m just ready for an “A” game. The Bills have played a couple of “B(ish)” games. If it ever all clicks they are going to MURDER some teams. They are just so talented.

It is looking like it may start raining again at like 3-5. Who knows exactly when it will stop but be prepared to get rained on at the tailgate. I only have one pop-up tent and it won’t be enough for the entire group 😬.

Tygod suing the doctor who hastened Herbert’s ascension
Kirby Jackson replied to FireChans's topic in Off the Wall
If your job tells you to do something… “If you don’t get this treatment, Justin is taking over while you’re out.” That happens all the time!! This is big business. The doctor and Chargers are going to have to prove that all of this is just coincidental. They’ll have to do that with a history of medical malpractice within their organization. The facts are what they are. The team doctor, punctured his lung and he was no longer starting. Everything else is conjecture. All of the facts support Tyrod’s claim. From a claim standpoint this seems clear as day. Maybe they squabble over the number a little but not much. -

Then it will be “pain and suffering” and “loss of future earnings.” They will have a hard time saying that he didn’t lose at least $5M. I don’t know what the team doctor’s carry for limits (my guess is at least $5M as that was the demand). When we insured the Saints they carried a $75M umbrella but only $25M for the liability for brain injuries. Umbrellas don’t sit over professional liability but that gives you an idea as to the per occurrence limits. The team doctor’s are probably carrying a minimum of $10M for situations like this. Fwiw, former Chargers Doctor David Chao was twice found guilty of medical malpractice. “They threatened my career if I didn’t undergo this. They made that decision and then punctured my lung.” Forced to do it… I am not an attorney or doctor. I do run a property and casualty agency that handles over $260M of premium annually. We see things like this ALL the time. There is almost always a significant payment. This will absolutely be in the millions. It may not be $5M (although I think it will). This is a very, very, very difficult case for the insurance company to try to defend. -

I didn’t realize that the contract was the same. Did they pay him on all of his incentives? Either way, the insurance company will cut a check and move on. I see this kind of thing every single day. I’ll be SHOCKED if there isn’t a settlement reached. He doesn’t need more proof than “I was starting, they shot me up, punctured a lung and I wasn’t starting anymore.” That is bulletproof. He has facts. They don’t. That IS what happened. If he were already the backup, maybe (although he’d still collect for med mal). I’m actually STUNNED that people think he won’t get $. That’s why professional liability insurance exists!! -
Tygod suing the doctor who hastened Herbert’s ascension
Kirby Jackson replied to FireChans's topic in Off the Wall
It’s pretty much already proven with everything that has transpired since. That’s the point!! He can point to the money difference from where he was to where he is. He can say that they wanted to replace him. Now they have to say all of that isn’t true… I’ve read multiple articles on it and know a little about medical malpractice (and insurance in general). This one isn’t going to be complicated. -

Kirby Jackson replied to FireChans's topic in Off the Wall
Seriously?!? He can EASILY make the case that they acted in bad faith to replace him. He can say that their negligence impacted his future earnings!! This is so simple. I’ve seen MANY claims setttled with WAY less evidence. Tyrod has even left the door open to ammend the claim asking for more. I suspect that the carrier will offer the $5M and the Chargers will be fine with it (the Chargers have a say in settling a professional liability claim because of the potential for reputational damage). That’s different from a GL or WC claim where the carrier has 100% say in settling. Tyrod does not have to prove that they were negligent. They have to prove that they weren’t!! He already has “proven” that he lost wages and that he was seriously injured by them. He can point to their desire to play the rookie as their motivation. They will cut the check and move on. -

I write some med mal. This would be settled IMMEDIATELY if someone filed a claim. The insurance company isn’t fighting this one… -

He should!! This is basically what medical malpractice is. It is textbook. This is a pretty easy, and well-deserved, check. -
I got mine right before that last preseason game.

Buffalo Tix week 2.... Most expensive in resale market
Kirby Jackson replied to Billsfan1972's topic in The Stadium Wall
I paid $375 a ticket last week in SoFi for section 340 (corner on the middle level). My buddy sat in the lower level, 10 yard line and paid less than $200 on the day of the game. Waiting is ALWAYS the right way to go. The reason is that people generally lock their trips early. The supply is what the supply is. The demand drops at some point. I booked Miami but no tickets yet. We are waiting until next Saturday (at least). If they lose to Baltimore they’ll come down. Even if they win they won’t go up 24 hours before the game. -
They’re legit. Sometimes these resellers post in multiple areas and have a whole network of people involved. The reason that you might not get them yet is because they have to assign them, pull them off other sites, get them from someone else in their group, etc… It’s a professional operation though and the reseller probably does that for a living. I have a buddy that works for one of these groups. They probably control something like 10,000 tickets across 100+ properties. It isn’t like the old days when someone had a couple of tickets that they weren’t using so they sold them.

Buffalo Tix week 2.... Most expensive in resale market
Kirby Jackson replied to Billsfan1972's topic in The Stadium Wall
FYI, I was at a charity event last night and a pair of tickets in the 45 yard-line sold for $2100 (I think was the final number). I know that it’s charity but still that’s a big number. For about 2 seconds I considered selling my seats and taking a couple from work. I wouldn’t miss it but we have a bunch of clients coming. It would be annoying to “entertain” but seats in my section are all listed > $500!! That’s insane. I want so little to do with mixing work & Bills that I declined. The Bills are my sanctuary. This is the thing that I do for me. At Bills games I ONLY want to go, and be around, passionate Bills fans. That’s why I love y’all!! This team matters to us differently. -
Yep!! Andrew Luck was great too but he sounded like an ogre

I’m not planning to say disparaging things about another QB to prop Josh up. I think Josh Allen is fantastic. I think that Patrick Mahomes is too. Justin Herbert is great but is less accomplished at this point. They are all a little different but QBs that you can consistently win with. Bills fans, Chiefs fans and Chargers fans should be thrilled.

I made 3 preseason bets to cover the cost of my Super Bowl Trip. Bills - Eagles (smallest bet at 40:1), Bills-Saints (middle sized at 70:1) and Bills - Vikings (largest at 80:1). I have a few other season long parlays that look better today than they did Saturday. I bet the EXACT AFC East finish as Bills-Dolphins-Jets-Pats at 18:1. I bet Bills 1st, Miami 2nd at +300. I bet New England 4th at +400 and New England under 8.5 wins. Going to need to win a few after the Broncos performance this evening 😂😂.

He would almost certainly come with. He was offered by a bunch of big schools (Alabama, Florida, FSU, etc). GT was on that list as well. It’s probably a package deal.

What a 🗑 program. They play someone next week that’s going to kill them too (Oklahoma). I’m assuming that Frost makes it to October 1st when his buyout goes down by $7.5M (I think). The damage is done though. That program is done. We are past the time of that program being able to “bounce back.” These kids weren’t alive when the Huskers were relevant. They are Kansas with a bigger stadium and more loyal (football) fans. Define different? Ohio State CONSISTENTLY has top 5 recruiting classes, recruit nationally and are a blue-blood program that never slips. Now if your suggestion is that they will fall to 5-10 we will disagree but it’s reasonable. If your suggestion is that they will fall further, that’s absurd. In the era of NIL that’s impossible. Ohio State will NEVER fall outside of the top 7 or 8 programs like Michigan did. The alumni won’t let that happen. The have elite recruiting, resources, reputation and success.

My 1st impression is that I’m not going to overreact. Cook was brought here to hit home runs. You’ll see him used more in close games I would imagine. He isn’t here to grind and to protect big leads. He’s here to change the game with big plays. Motor will shoulder the load in the backfield. Moss and Cook will be worked in depending on the situation. They each have different roles to play. I will analyze their play based on how well they performed their specific roles.

Tua and his sensitive fan base (JA17 Related)
Kirby Jackson replied to billsbackto81's topic in The Stadium Wall
I’m over anyone, being compared to anything, that Allen does. He is 1-of-1. He’s a unicorn. Everyone (that doesn’t know what they were watching) says, “but Allen wasn’t good his first two years.” Your guy isn’t going to get there. Your guy isn’t physically talented enough to take that leap. That’s why Tua gets dragged in these conversations. These are the people shouting down the “but Tua was better than Allen his first 2 years guy.” The “Tua was better first 2 years guy” has been trying to make the case that he may make a similar jump. Those shouting him down are pointing to certain plays as evidence as to why he won’t ever come close to that level. He can’t make the throw that Josh made from a clean pocket. Allen did it at 13.6 MPH. -
The Bills were just okay. The Bills played a B- game. The Bills beat the defending Super Bowl Champs, in their house, by 3 TDs.

Thanks!! I’ll try
-
I appreciate it!! It’s my own fault. I was told to text him and I didn’t. Now he got rid of the extras and it’s sold out 🤦🏻♂️. I’ll figure it out.

Help me understand an OBJ trade
Kirby Jackson replied to Behindenemylines's topic in The Stadium Wall
No it wasn’t. Beckham was looking at a 200 yard game with at least 1 score. He was running away with it.
