That's a fair point, but those might be 3 or 4 important games.... -

Socialism fails every time

I agree with all of this. If Ernie had become president, he would haved faced the same level of resistance from the Media and "Deep State" that Trump faces, though he would probably have buckled pretty early on, unlike Trump. -

No, as in "earnest"...in England they would call him "a ***** Ernie". -

I disagree. I think there was a lot of trepidation about Trump prior to the 2016 election, that was created by the media. He was an unknown entity, a guy who might start a nuclear war, collapse the economy, create concentration camps, round up Muslims, try to overturn Roe vs. Wade...there would be a massive uprising of White Power, with groups parading through cities and towns, intimidating POC, and cops killing Black men, emboldened by Trump's indifference to Blacks...on and on. None of that happened. Instead, there was a bogus investigation, that has fallen flat, no new wars, reworked trade agreements, the Korean situation improving, and the economy is doing fine. There was a large portion of voters that were hesitant about Trump, that will now consider him a known entity. Trump will win. PS don't believe the polls, "approval ratings" are unreliable. -
What happened to Anthony Johnson?

Yeah, but many here wanted him just because he went to UB. Squabbling about how the Bills should waste a draft pick on the guy. -
Steve Tasker belongs in the Hall of Fame

A very coach-like thing to say... I bet he was way more concerned about Bruce Smith, Thurman Thomas, and Jim Kelly. -

Meh. I think his appeal is that he is a small white guy that some fans project themselves onto...a guy that the average Joe can more easily experience the game through, vicariously. -
Some threads give you advance warning of who you should block before the season. There are just so many people on the board since the other site went closed. Feel free to block me as well. I believe McCoy will be in pretty good form this year AND like this pick..why can't you have both? "Change of direction" you gotta be kidding....look at the footage, does he seem to have poor change of direction abilities? Maybe they gotta change the tests?

And 60 to zero!

I like the way he acts too. No preening after scoring, no "pretending to pee like a dog on the field" (see DK Metcalf), just finds his teammates to celebrate with them. I love that run at 2:13, leaving 3 defenders falling into each other like the 3 Stooges.

I was thinking the same about the Thurman comparison. He hasn't shown anything as receiver, but maybe that can be developed. To say he isn't fast enough is ridiculous. he won't be running many sweeps, but his game speed looks pretty ***** good to me. His change of pace is what makes him so elusive, and his vision is verging on Barry Sanders (no, I'm not saying he is as good as Sanders).

I occasionally go back, but don't often quote. This is an interesting thread

Wow, I went back a couple months looking for that post, and now I see it was from over 2 years ago!

Yeah, they took our Hall of Famer and we slipped a practice squad guy out from under their noses. How appropriate.
