  1. I think your list will shorten quite a bit when you look at the 2010 franchise player $$$... http://content.usatoday.com/communities/thehuddle/post/2010/02/nfl-franchise-player-tender-amounts-for-2010-season/1
  2. Holy crap! If I didn't know better, I'd swear that you just made it seem like I had a better start on life as a 25 year old than a player leaving the NFL after 3-1/2 years.
  3. Then you take the 1.5 - 2.0 mil(at the very minimum) you earned, in conjunction with your 4 year degree and you have a great start on the rest of your life that most 25-27 year old never dreamed possible.
  4. Your boss/owner of your company gives you a bonus/raise or you demand to see the books and then make your own determination what your raise/bonus should be? Sorry, but I don't feel sorry for these guys at all. Because of their athletic talent, they received a 4 year degree at some of the best colleges in the country(If they didn't, shame on them), and are being paid a kings ransom to play a game they love. F*** THEM. One more point... Without the owners, the NFL players would be no different than 99% of all NCAA athletes. Looking for a real job when their college days were over. They just don't know how good they have it.
  5. The players are delusional. Feeley was crying about how the NFLPA knows how much revenues the owners are getting, but they don't know the owners costs. Therefore, they don't know how much of a profit the owners are making, insinuating that the bigger the profit, the more the players should get. WTF world are they living in where you demand a bigger salary based on your employers bottom line? Then he went on to piss and moan about how if they are locked out, they will have to pay for their own health insurance, blah, blah, blah. BOO FREAKIN' HOO! Even if it means losing the season, I hope the owners lock them out and make them eventually come crawling back. :censored:
  6. Says the guy who is convinced that Cam Newton will be a failure at the NFL level before said combine and pro days take place.
  7. You're close... http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/draft2011/news/story?id=6051861
  8. To support my point that Mayock has as many misses as anyone else, here are his player rankings just prior to the 2008 draft... http://www.nfl.com/draft/story/09000d5d80406b71/article/mike-mayocks-draft-prospect-rankings-updated-april-15 PS I wasn't saying that Dilfer is great as a player evaluator.
  9. ...but posters on TSW watch more film than Dilfer?
  10. All the prognosticators have misses. Int this case, you just choose to ignore Mayock's, because he supports your position on Newton.
  11. I'd be fine with Newton as long as it isn't Ralph's pick where he overrides everyone else and the draft board grades.
  12. I know he has played NT, which IMO he is undersized for, and he has played 4-3 DT, but he has only had a handful of plays at DE in either a 3-4 or 4-3. I don't know how this proves anything in this regard.
  13. Do you really think that much of your opinion that you feel the need to make yourself sound like an NFL scout? Does "waste of time" mean they won't make an NFL roster, will never start a game, something else???
  14. I still have nightmares of the news clip of Bob Rich at the owners meeting waving a blank check in front of the camera. As it turns out, it was a bad move by him(dropping out) as even the sisters of the poor(Royals, Pirates, etc...) make money year after year.
  15. I'm all in favor of a 3 day weekend when the SB is held, but not if it means holding the SB that late in February.
  16. What do you get when you give the SB to an egomaniac? Several hundred fans were turned away at the gates because temporary seating was not up to snuff, per Dallas fire marshall. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2011/02/06/dallas-fire-marshall-deems-some-temporary-seats-unsafe/
  17. While Bills fans deserve credit for shelling out money over the last decade to watch a crap product, they are far from the best fans in the league. Green Bay which is a much smaller market sells out Lambeau regardless of the product on the field. I'm not saying all these cities(see link below) have better fans than the Bills(market size has a lot to do with many of the sellout streaks), but Green Bay is head and shoulders above most of them in my eyes... http://wiki.answers.com/Q/What_NFL_team_has_the_longest_sell_out_streak
  18. My daughter was watching whatever dance show that Paula Abdul is now on, and I had to laugh as the host of the show constantly refers to the judges as "experts".
  19. I never watched the pregame crap during the Bills SB runs and I have even less interest now.
  20. Do you mean how another draft bust Vernon Gholston has FLOURISHED under the savior Rex Ryan? Some guys are busts and it has nothing to do with the coaching they receive.
  21. I agree. Playing the game in a cold weather city in a domed stadium is one thing, but NYC in an open air stadium in February?
  22. If this was the case, you would see a lot of people talking about Kaepernick at #3 overall along with Gabbert. It is clear that they are not rated the same which is why one guy will be taken in the top 1/2 of the first round and the other guy in round 2, 3 or later. ...and you know this how?
