  1. Try being under there at halftime trying to get to a concession stand, restroom, or to the exterior walkway of the stadium. Human gridlock, and no, it is not for a few seconds. Who said it was fine 20 years ago? Typical TSW MO...completely disregard the financial impact of building a new stadium. Just build it! Feel free to explain the "multi-use stadium" part of your post.
  2. If you have ever been in the concourse under the upper deck(specifically at half time or after a game)...YES, the concourses need to be widened! Who says they are trying to compete with Dallas, Indy amd the Meadowlands in terms of stadium quality? I haven't heard that, want that, nor can they afford that.
  3. - Do not eat at Pearl Street Brewery. I have never had a good meal there. That being said, great place for a cocktail or two before or after a Sabres game. - If you go on the Whirlpool Jetboat, make sure your life vest is on tight... http://www.buffalonews.com/article/20120905/CITYANDREGION/120909839
  4. "..We don't expect the proud citizenry of upstate New York to take kindly to flaming arrows from a magazine obsessed with the rich.".
  5. I can be WGR's biggest critic, but how much football do you want them to talk about? If they had guests on(other than a steady diet of Hamilton, Sullivan and now Joe B), I could see it, but how much of the same nonsense can they rehash day in and day out?
  6. Even better, take the 4 worst teams and the winner of the two week tourney gets the #1 overall.
  7. You're right...being on the all-pro team two times is meaningless. Furthermore, we are talking about the Bills Wall of Fame, not the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
  8. Nothing like Broadway Joe stirring the pot. How does that taste Rexie?
  9. If Mcgee can't go in the regular season, I'd be shocked if the Bills don't acquire(either waivers or a trade), or CB with some experience.
  10. I just checked. I don't smell anything that stinks, no one is standing over me, my shoelaces are still in place, and I am sure there is a pencil around somewhere. Any other questions?
  11. 10 days until I don't have to see daily links to this blog.
  12. I have brought this up before. I have never heard of any problems between McKenzie and the Bills, but it is very odd that he is not on the Bills WoF.
  13. I am not surprised one bit. This guy made a name for himself by juicing, and was never the same afterwards. If he is getting cut this early in camp, chances are his career is close to being over.
  14. My choice(s) would be the 64 and 65 AFL Championship games since I was too young to remember them.
  15. I wasn't following him for the entire practice, but I don't think he had any reps during the 5 on 5, 7 on 7, or 11 on 11 yesterday. I think most of his activity was either during individual drills or during ST practice.
  16. After 20+ years of "coaching" for the Bills and surviving numerous changes at the HC spot, he was let go a couple of years ago, and seems to have vanished. Does no other NFL team understand the value of having a Chuck Lester on their staff? Is he hanging around WNY hoping the Bills come to their senses and rehire him? Is he working for the Bills in a diminished capacity? Retired and hanging out at the Erie Basin Marina all summer? Inquiring minds want to know!
  17. Not sure. Just repeating what Murph said.
  18. The only time I noticed him during practice was when he was on the sideline getting re-taped.
  19. John Murphy just addressed these two things on his WGR550 show... 1 - Nix said "no" to bringing back Evans 2 - The Bills have no plans to fill the vacant spot since cutdowns are only a few days away
  20. - On consecutive plays, Choice took a solid hit from Searcy, and then Morrison really lowered the boom on him in the backfield. - Hagan had a couple of nice catches. I wonder if his solid training camp will vault him past Jones into the #2 WR spot? - Young and Thigpen had good and bad moments during 7 on 7. Thigpen had a couple of nice throws down the left sideline, and Young looked okay for the most part, but as soon as I thought he was looking good, he fired a swing pass at the feet of the RB on the very next play. - Gilmore was the first player on the field by at least 15 minutes, and spend some time catching football from the jugs machine. - I did not notice Mario Williams or Mark Anderson. In fact, I had forgotten they were on the team for the entire practice. - Stevie was pretty quiet, but came to life at the end of the practice with some nice grabs. - Dareus had shoulder pads and his helmet on, but was wearing shorts instead of football pants. He seemed to be practicing with the rest of the first team, so I don't know what the story was. - Wannstedt was very animated with the defensive players after practice ended. Not sure if he was upset about their play during the two minute drill or something else, but he was definetely fired up. - Graham looked okay. He seems to be really skinny, even with pads on. A couple non-football notes... - It was hotter than I expected out there. I bet it was close to 85 at the beginning of practice. - Parents who bring their little kids to practice can't seriously expect them to sit in the stands and watch practice. I saw a constant stream of people with kids make their way into the stands, and right back out within 30 minutes. Kids want to eat, drink, and go play in the fan experience. - I miss the days of training camp at Fredonia. Even though, there were no grandstands there, I can remember standing by the fence within a stones throw of Joe Devlin and Ken Jones goofing off during stretching exercises.
  21. Anyone know if the Bills are practicing in pads today?
  22. I feel the same way(bolded part). I was recently talking to a Pittsburgh fan, and stated this exact point. Not exactly something to be proud of as a Bills fan when you know a fan of an opposing team is planning on taking in a game at RWS.
