  1. The numbers make sense as far as guessing goes. I think mcKelvin will get offered more elsewhere though. Otherwise, I would be estatic if things played out this way. I agree that Hixon would be an excellent add.
  2. I agree with this, we definitely need a good third running back but Bradshaw it is too expensive to fill that position. unless we're getting rid of Fred Jackson, I just don't see it.
  3. Definite cap move. We don't really need an RB, but dropping Bradshaw is a bit of a surprise to me. I don't know much about Canty except that he is 30 and was only healthy for 9 games last year. Get 'er done? Let the speculation commence. He is an upgrade over Choice anyways...
  4. Is he affordable? Would be an immediate upgrade...
  5. Picked up by the Rams, so any possibility here is gone now anyways.
  6. To be fair, cheese can't really do vs any of the other mascots ...Unless the vikings are lactose intolerant or something.
  7. The Bills even won their 'matchup'. These are pretty entertaining and funny. http://imgur.com/a/9VdIW I think the Browns v Colts and Pats v Ravens are my favorites.
  8. To be fair, there are some significant monetary implications to keeping this behavior up. I'm not saying to just bring him in regardless. You talk to the guy, get a read on him, and write up a contract with an easy out just in case you need to dump him. I like having players that are good guys, but talent is talent. If he isn't a clear detriment (he could be - I'm not saying either way) he can help. A lot of good teams have less-than-stellar persons on them.
  9. He is young. Hopefully this experience taught him a little something about what it takes to be a productive member of an NFL team. That said, he would be an incredible pickup if we could snag him. Add in one of the other FAs or a good draft pick, and our WRs could be on the other side of respectable next year.
  10. There are many scams where people do initiate these fake relationships to get money, or even just for sh*ts and giggles. I don't know if we will get the full or true story, or if we will be able to recognize it if we do, but making assumptions is not the right way to go about this. I do know someone who went through a similar situation (though in his case it was a 100% online/phone relationship where they never met) and they genuinely were scammed out of some money. Its amazing how easily someone can fall for this stuff when there is an 'emotional' aspect to the interactions. Admittedly, for Te'o to be innocent, there are a number of things that don't make so much sense, but its not impossible, and I don't feel comfortable condemning him until/unless more information is revealed.
  11. Why are people worried about flynn losing to Wilson. Look at how good Wilson was this year. It took carroll long enough to decide that it seems like flynn was at least in the same realm of ability as Wilson, which I'm sure any of us would be happy with. At least have him compete with a rookie and Fitz- more upside potential than smith and will actually be available unlike flacco
  12. Keep in mind that the vast majority of WRs are notorious for having slow starts. Drafting ANY wide receiver is not a lock to improve our receiving corps this year or even next. Its possible, but if we want quick results, a free agent is likely to be far more effective. I'd rather draft a WR in a later round (4th-6th) and keeping them as a project.
  13. Keep in mind that SU has one of the worst college football fosters out there. Plays that ended badly aren't necessarily a reflection on coach or QB making bad decisions.
  14. I like Lovie as a coach, but I am not sure about him as a HEAD coach. He is clearly smart and knows how to get a team to play defense (something we need) but he doesn't have the offensive prowess (and hasn't demonstrated the ability to pick a good OC). He also seems to lack the fire that inspires a team and makes them really fight. Any chance he would accept a coordinator position?
  15. Honestly, I think a different scheme is far-and-away the biggest thing we can do to improve the team. One more solid corner and 2 good linebackers are enough to shore up the unit (assuming we can keep Byrd). Other than that, I expect the experience and familiarity that the players gained this year to be a big boost.
  16. I really like Romo talent-wise. Probably not a first for him though when we have so many other needs (gotta get some young players in to start developing now). What does his contract look like now?
  17. I like this quite a bit. If we also trade for or sign FAs (like 2-4 new players) at QB,WR,LB, and/or DB, id be feeling pretty good.
  18. Tressel at HC, Lovie at DC is ideal for me.
  19. I would like to hope that KC and ARI or whoever picks a qb ahead of us jumps on the 'running QB' bandwagon and skip Glennon.
  20. I think in 1-2 years Bradham will be solid. He won't be fletcher, but he is showing some playmaking flashes now. We need at least one star in that group though to keep it all together
  21. Someone looked hurt on that last play clutching their leg - Gilmore I think? Did anyone else see that?
  22. Phew! We've got an expert here. Everyone can stop worrying about Smith now. Problem is, I can pick apart every QB too, and Smith is woefully lacking in a number of areas. Sarcasm aside, you can't blame me for not trusting an internet poster's scouting credentials. Everyone's opinions are BS until we see these kids play in the NFL, and its just as likely that correct "evaluations" are just lucky guesses.
  23. Syracuse has been terrible for so long that a lot of people are discounting them out of hand instead of actually watching them and giving Nassib a chance.
  24. Well I am a fan of both. I can honestly say there isn't a worse combination of teams to support.
