  1. Good comparison. I agree with you
  2. We don't need to fill everything in FA. I think WR and CB should be high priority FA moves, and get a high rd TE and LB or two in the draft.
  3. Good value move. Probably wouldn't be too much of a drop off.
  4. Ouch. First really painful loss.
  5. To my understanding, he isn't a blitzer. Great in run support, OK but not great at coverage. I may be wrong.
  6. Good on ya Stevie! Hopefully it works. I wonder if he needs to convince DHB, management or both. Imagine if he gets the deal started all by himself? I love having this guy on our team.
  7. Good value move. Immediate contributor. Keep it going.
  8. This isn't about any quarterback in particular, more about past drafting practices. My question is: When was the last time a team drafted a QB in rounds 1-2 in following years? I ask because we all know that the QBs in this class are a crapshoot, and next years look significantly better. If we draft high this year and they bust/underperform, then we are stuck with them for 3+ years and miss out on next year's elite performers. I am of the mind we take a rd 3-4 QB, someone high risk, high reward. That way, if they struggle, we don't have to show the same committment to them for the following years, and can draft a true franchise guy early next year. And, if the boom-or-bust QB works out, then we have a great QB that we stole in a later round. Win-win.

  10. I'm a big DHB fan. Please let us not keep sitting on our hands too much longer.
  11. Not a surprise, but quicker than I expected. I wouldn't want him at that price anyways, though.
  12. Pay cut would have been better. This hurts cap space. Other than that, though, huzzah! On to (hopefully) better things.
  13. So what you're saying is that there is still time to sign Levitre...
  14. I agree with all commenters above. Gotta admit, I like Alexander though.
  15. For the right price yes. Spiller+Harvin would be literally unstoppable. Both can run, catch, and make plays in space. Add stevie in the slot, and you can't ask for a better group of players that get open and make things happen.
  16. He was a beast last year. He was the only piece working for Oakland's offense. Hard to say if he would dominate or disappear in a halfway competent offense.
  17. I'm with you. A high round QB this year, no matter how bad they look, means no QB on say 1 next year. I would rather go high risk/high reward in a later round this year, then take a high first rounder next year if he doesn't work out.
  18. Hard to say. Competition level can even out because they don't have the same supporting talent as the SEC qbs do. That is why game film, combine, pro days, etc.matter. you have to judge the QB, not the team they are on. It is a hugely different sport from Pro Football, a lot of people don't realize that.
  19. I can't imagine this will be too difficult. Not many teams use fullbacks anymore.
  20. Trade back with 49ers, then we give up the 31st pick instead of the 8th...
  21. No hesitation - yes... if we can. they may try to go higher, or lower and may not want to offer that much. We should be a whole lot closer to filling our gaps if this went through, though
  22. I like it a lot, provided we make a few moves in FA as well to shore up the defense.
  23. Not sure where he is projected, but I like Stoneburner from OSU quite a bit. Not much of a blocker, but could fill a Hernandez-like role with his speed, size, and hands.
  24. Works for me. With our holes, the more picks the better.
  25. Competition is competition. I would be happy to take either one to training camp.
