  1. If the Bills practiced more in the cold weather, they could maximize the advantage somewhat more. Used to bwe the cold weather environment was a clear buffalo advantage. (except against other cold weather teams ) McD doesn't do much outside, spend the practice time inside installing the weeks plans. Thats ok, but really gotta do both.
  2. I watched Dan play on a black and white TV in the EM club at Fort Polk, LA in 1968. Small screen, the AFL fans, in those days, were closet cases, and the big room color TV's were for the ,then, NFL fans. This was the time of the AFL/NFL bidding wars, and I had a few debates w the guys from Chicago and NY. Anyhow, DD had a tough go that season, I think that was the season that allowed the Bills to draft OJ.
  3. I like this better than the sleep commercial. I use NB myself, and they make killer shoes.
  4. He got his $18mil plus more so I get it. Just didn't want him back.
  5. HE was a 10%+ drop rate receiver. I hope he never sees the field w the Bills again. Not a good signing imho.
  6. Charlie Ferguson if he is still alive. Was a collegue of mine after his Bills career. Played around Ernie Warlick's time, was also a TE.
  7. I wonder what happen when Josh goes for 50 tds?
  8. Parsons was a no show when the Bills ran the ball down the boys throat in their last visit to Buffalo. You can't get sacks if you can force the opposition to throw the ball. That makes me think Parsons is a gross overpay with Parson not great against the run. And the Pack got had. don't know what Dallas got, but they already did the Dak overpay so were not gonna do another. a good on Jer....
  9. I remember the NFL/AFL days. That wasn't good for football, and the merger took care of that. The AFC was formed around the AFL teams mostly. Lots of folks here don't recall that mess. The Bills were in the middle of it. They lost Pete Gogolak (kicker) to the Giants which started the bidding war. The bills went after Mike Ditka, the all pro TE from the Bears, then. It was brutal and teams and money was big for those poached. (not by todays standards, though) I don't have any desire to see another big time league form. But, with all the money out there chasing football, I would not rule it out. Maybe the Saudi's will bankroll a new league, ala the golf situation. That would be interesting to watch. Of course, you could argue that College football has become the alternate pro league. As for Sanders, the young man has a tough road, who knows how it will play out. But, if he can play, he can succeed. (see Kurt Warner)
  10. Bean/McD love their draft choices. (too much)
  11. Must still bel on speed dial on Beans phone.
  12. Its not collusion if 32 teams independently decide they don't want the SS sideshow, with the old man hovering. I for one think that is how this happened. The NFL isn't stupid. But, I also believe somebody did call and tell the Browns to draft this guy. Oh well....
  13. Bishop was the pick over DeJean....McD wanted DeJean......I think this one is at Beans desk.
  14. Yup, an old slow CB can't do the job. I am thinking about..Josh Norman, Vontae Davis.....etc etc. McD likes old and takes slow as the penality.
  15. this is mcD's style. Old slow experienced guys.
