  1. pretty interesting. I don’t know how he could have not liked that movie or his performance in it. It’s a great and timeless movie. I am pretty sure it won 3-4 Oscars, including best picture.
  2. I hear you. But I think they aren’t going to be loyal to some of these stop-gap guys (Addison), or vets at the end of their contracts (Mongo, McKenzie). They probably want to keep their core guys and homegrown guys if they can, but upgrade at key spots.
  3. Good point. When I was thinking more speed, I was actually thinking more of a Robert Foster type (straight line speed to stretch the D). it’s hard to not want to replicate what the chiefs do— an Unguardable TE in the middle and a speedy deep threat to draw the safeties back.
  4. That is what I am thinking too. I think he wants to lock down both tackle positions, but I could see getting replacements at both guards and center position (with Ike going to the bench).
  5. This is just me spit-balling here-- but I have a feeling they are going to really shake things up on both sides of the ball (get more speed at WR; get more beef on the interior line; and get more physicality and speed in the front 7 on defense). That may mean letting some of the fan favorites walk (Brown, Williams, Addison, Feliciano, Morse, Milano). I could be totally wrong-- but I don't think that last game sat well with McBeane.
  6. ....as I quietly put my Jim Leonard jersey in the bottom drawer.
  7. Major props to you for this analysis and out-of-the-box thinking!
  8. haha— no. “I” as in “if I were the lions.” “I” (Bills fan) wouldn’t trade Allen for anything.
  9. isn’t it amazing that everyone remembers that hit against Michigan? I saw it live, since I loosely follow Michigan football. Vincent Smith was the RB and he was like 5’6.” Clowney came unblocked at full speed. Wasn’t pretty. in terms of clowney’s production, you can sort of justify a down year here or there. He has had two pretty good years in his career, and those were with Houston. Everything else has been meh. If you want a guy that can get you 3 sacks per year, you can sign a Mario Addison at a much lower price tag, not Clowney.
  10. I would Have taken the Rams deal. Get two 1st rounders and a 3 rounder (not just the one 1st rounder), and a much much better QB.
  11. no, I agree with you. Was just joking. The headline just seemed really funny to me.
  12. it’s sad what the world is coming to when the “news” is a former punter “breaking down” a text message.
  13. The Colts make a ton of sense. Their first round pick is in the right spot. And Darnold could easily thrive in the system they have there. I don't get the Darnold nay-sayers. He has flashed really well at times. Put him behind an all-pro line with two stud RB's-- he would be really productive.
  14. great point. That was probably the best punt I have ever seen from a Bills punter.
  15. I think they make him the lowest tender. That said, I am not sure anyone can say they are sold on him. He has eliminated some of the very bad mistakes (dropped snaps, bad holds, blocks, frequent shanks). But he is still not great at the finesse stuff--pinning teams inside the 10. I expect they will bring in some legit camp competition.
  16. the announcers mentioned it during the broadcast of the game— they said they went over and spoke to Reid and Matthieu to dial it back, or something along those lines.
  17. agreed. The fact that the refs had to early on in the game talk to Reid about this stuff speaks volumes. they crossed some lines early— like the body slam and the punch. That is more than being “chippy.” That’s like Suh territory.
  18. Perfect use of a Madea meme.
  19. yeah, you may be right. But it would have to be a very reduced deal. I don’t think Pittsburgh could afford much. that said, I am not sure that many teams would be throwing a lot of money at him— too much of an injury risk at this stage.
  20. I think many of us predicted he would yet again produce next to nothing in Tennessee and we were proven right. This is a production business. He can’t even get a single sack? Something doesn’t add up.
  21. both his brothers play in Pittsburgh. Makes a lot of sense for him to go there on a vet min deal. He would do great in that defense.
  22. Good point. I think we can all agree that our loyalty to EJ runs way too deep.
  23. Why was my first question, “coldstone creamery still exists?”
  24. Dang, HOUSE— you’re actually posting something serious? 😁 No Chance the Bills sign MT. Too much money. I don’t think they will have the money to re-sign Barkley.
