  1. He is okay, a little too definitive in his takes, stated as if he is a sage sometime. I prefer Shout, as Parino and Talbot are both solid Bills' beat writers who write good, clear, short analysis on Bills' topics in their articles. And they tend to do the same in their podcast. I like that they are not super assertive in their opinions, not indicating that their takes are gospel, but their views based on the evidence at hand. More realistic way to present things. I like Marino much better when he has others on his show. He is much easier to listen to when engaged in conversations rather than just touting his opinions. He needs a cohost on his podcast.
  2. Samuels, definitely, but I guess depends on the salary aspects. But not Rapp, he can be a good backup, played well at times, though does not have the size or physical tools to be a good starting safety. Here too, depends on the salary though.
  3. One of the more reassuring hires so far, along with Leonard. Brady seemed so green in his press conferences, so inexperienced in these things. Had me concerned that the demands of a head coaching job would overwhelm him in his first year, dooming the Bills to a mediocre season. Fox by his side, and Brady both delegating things to him and getting advice from him, after all his years of being a successful head coach, is really reassuring. Seems like a superb move right now, as at the very least Brady will feel in over his head at times this year.
  4. Well, that would be great. Had not considered that background, but I don't think it may be that cut and dry! Hope you are right and then the Bills do this, unless they have their sights set on another player in the first round. You are stating that in a very definitive way, all of it , and especially your last words, "If Bean offers a first they'll trade him to us." Is this just conjecture, and that you are very certain in your analysis, or something you have read or seen that makes you say that, something concrete I mean?
  5. I like Thomas Junior, as he is cheap, until he is in the Pro Bowl soon with Josh throwing to him, and who may thrive in an offense craving fast, athletic play-makers who can get down the field. And if what you think is the trade capital the Bills need to give up is close to accurate--a 3rd this year and 7th next. But just typing that last point made me think that is probably unrealistic draft compensation for a receiver they drafted just two years and who had an excellent rookie year. 87 receptions, 1282 yards, and 10 touchdowns. I think it is at least a 2 and 4, or maybe a 1, or a good player with the 2. But the Jags are likely not interested at all in getting rid of a 23 year old who has showed so much promise. And especially trading hm to what is likely one of their main AFC competitors. He has the skills the Bills have lacked for a long time at that position, so I hope it happens.
  6. !!!! Why are you angry about that loss?? Who or what are you angry at?? One of the worst OPs in recent memory as written. As presented, it sounds like a little kid crying about something when no one has any idea what/why they are crying about in any real sense. Why so "pissed"? And who are you "pissed" at? "I am so angry that it is so cold out right now right now..." the 5 year old said as he stomped his feet in anger. See, it sounds like that, like a little kid saying something whereas no one knows what or who he is angry at.
  7. I would love to have Crosby on the team. But the Bills cannot pay a king's ransom for one player. 35+ million a year!! And a first round pick? More?? Seems like a team undermining move. It has not helped the Raiders be a good team or a good defense. Garret has not helped Cleveland become a winning team. Ditto for Hendrickson and Cinci's defense and team. So why spend so much of your team's resources on Crosby when it is more important to keep this offensive line together, as THAT is the foundation of the team.
  8. I choose Pickens and Pierce! And one more by round 3-4. They simply Brand new starting wide receivers, just like they did with Beasley and Brown and then Diggs. No starting caliber wide receivers now other than Shakir, so they need three starting caliber wide outs. And NO MORE middle of the road, and now going to be so much better with Josh Allen throwing to them washouts allowed. Problem is they will need several more starting linebackers if going to a 3-4, serious depth at CB, a starting safety. They need to keep this O line intact, the heart and soul of this offense after Josh.
  9. Good point, but you should replace "if" with "when", as it is almost assured Glenn does not finish the year. Jets looked like a poorly coached high school team as far as preparation for the game, discipline, and effort are concerned. And the worst turnover differential in the NFL and 0--ZERO!!-- interceptions, although Glenn is a former high level NFL defensive back. So Reich may be their head coach by Halloween at the latest. Glenn will be the first NFL coach fired next season, bet on that.
  10. To me he really loses almost all credibility by implying Babbich would be a better head coach! Babbich clearly could not handle his job as defensive coordinator, with McDermot admittedly taking over things, co-coordinators!, when it was clear Babbich was over his head as THE DC. And I believe that after devastating defensive failures, whether in whole games or a half, there were not co-coordinators even, and McDermot did almost all during the week to prepare the defense. Babbich was his little helper, to give him a false sense of security. Makes no sense that a man who could not handle his job as DC would be a better head coach than Brady, who McDermot likely trusted a great deal, despite his lack of wide receivers. Cappacio is really off here. Not saying Babbich is a dorsey, and that he is incompetent, but he has to make significant progress in Green Bay next season just to be an average defensive coordinator. Coordinators are a crapshoot when they become head coaches but but all of the facts seem to at least make Brady a much better risk than Babbich.
  11. I could not believe the Bills did not get him at all costs this off season, could have signed him to a long term deal, saved a slew of money, Now, his 2025 year may have priced him out of Buffalo, as we need to keep shoveling out millions on the old, almost done players that are all over our team, especially on defense.
  12. I think you should take it even further than you do actually. Based on your ideas, analysis, Beane may not merely "go down as the most hated sports figure in Buffalo sports history", but in the history of Buffalo period. And we can keep going, maybe in the history of New York state. Possibly the country. Or even the world. Might as well just go for it all, as long as you say what you say in this measured, astute take in your OP.
  13. yeah, those darn facts, what are they good for? They undermine almost everything for some people. Enough of them!!! Long live complete unfettered and unsupported bias! That is what makes the world go round.. (See: world)
  14. No!!!!! Wait, are you kidding? You really want Babbich? I hope that there is ZERO thought of this happening. To me the only reason the defense looked good at times was because McDermott took it over those times. And clearly did so for the bigger games and after dismal performances the week before. No way. No Babbich. if McDermott can't find a job, bring him back instead!
  15. Hmm, not sure what football team you have been watching the last few years or what may have happened to your brain that caused you to say those humorous things... (Is this a joke maybe?) That running back sure looks pretty good getting "stuffed up the middle" as you say.. Cook could not get a yard if his life depended on it with consistency awful calls by Brady like that? Sooo predictable. (2025 NFL rushing leader: the always "stuffed" man himself, the dreadfully used James Cook, with 1606 yards, and who also lead the league, though catastrophically "stuffed up the middle" all of the time, at 5.2 yards per carry. Personally, I hope and pray that next year Cook gets just as "stuffed up the middle" as he did this past season. (You don't? Which team are you rooting for??) And al of those punts!!!!!!! 4th lowest punt total in the NFL this year... Love these fact-based-super-smart sounding posts! Gives me great hope for humanity to see this type of fact based reasoning, and not just someone pulling completely unsupported nonsense out of their kiester with literally zero regard for the truth. A great sign. And I will give you this as well: your super smart ideas in this post are supported by equally smart choices in statistics. #1 rushing team in the NFL in 2025? The always "stuffed up the middle" Buffalo Bills with 2714 yards. And 4th least punts in the league this year. Great work. Very diligent.
