One of the best throws in NFL history
Mister Defense replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
An amazing play, amazing everyone. Not just the crazy accurate throw, but add in the situation, 4th down, and look at what is going on right in front of Josh when he throws! How can someone throw through that mess, at the angle, and into a mess like that? More games like that and the Bills go 3-1 or 4-0, and Allen may very well win his 2nd MVP, should. -
Cosell is one of the most respected football gurus around, lives football. Truly passionate about it. I also value his opinion, think he should be brought on board to help Beane and McD choose the exact kind of players they need now in the draft and fee agency. I think he would love to do that, really use his immense knowledge and skills to help guide an NFL team. But he is not always right. He had said James Cook was not an starting caliber, every down workhorse back several times on One Bills Live, after the draft and after he had played for a year or so. Because I respect his opinion so much, I bought in wholeheartedly. I think Cook is second in the league in carries this year and a true workhorse back who runs with both speed and great power. I hope Cosell is just as wrong this time. I think he is.

Just your odds, no comments please

Yes It should be between Josh and Stafford, with Maye next in line. Josh is having another great year, willing the team to wins time and time again. Just like one would expect from an MVP. Four games left, almost a quarter of the season, and all will likely be meaningful, and for all three quarterbacks. Here's to hoping that Josh Allen makes it almost impossible to vote for anyone else.

looks like he is going to be one of the best run (and pass blockers?) in the league for a long time. If he continues to do well as receiver, and really focuses on that in the off season, attending the tight end camp and working with some of the best on his own, I think he can become a high quality starter, a great compliment to Kincaid. But Iike Knox too, think he is one of the most under utilized talents on the roster. He separates effectively, has very good hands now, and has become a much better blocker. I would love to keep all three of these guys next year and think Knox can be had for a very good price. But Brady needs to open his eyes to the talent on the roster, and not wait to be called out for not doing that.

Yeah, I keep screaming it from the rooftop--they are lost and confused, look a lot like the offense in that sense when the incompetent dorsey coached it. Players not knowing the basics, such as where exactly to play!!, is a clear sign of awful weeklong preparation. It is a fundamental, a vital is the most literal sense of the word aspect of any good defense. Just like so many other fundamental aspects of the defense that look awful, clear and obvious, when Babbich is in charge. But when, it seems, McD takes over, and not just the play calling, but the entire week, they look like a much much different defense. McD is way too loyal to the guy, should have fired him by Halloween. Hopefully he only uses Babbich at a Gatorade Boy for the rest of the year. Then we can have hope that the defense will rise to the occasion. Babbich is fired already, so why let him destroy the dreams of so many people at One Bills Drive and the millions of Bills' fans? But I think Burrow's success on Sunday was more a result of his extreme accuracy and great football mind. One of the most accurate passers I have ever seen, if not the most accurate, and great touch too, making for extremely catchable balls. His downfall is he is brittle, and he knows it, knows each game may be his last.

Great work! Thank you. It gives me more hope for the division and the #1 seed to see the possibilities that you detail so well. I think the scenario where the Pats lose to the Bills and the Dolphins is realistic for the division, but would be much more likely if in Miami. I am hoping the Dolphins finally overcome their poor play in cold weather. And that this great winning streak they are on motivates them to do that. And the scenario for the #1 seed is not a total pipe dream, but less likely, with more moving parts. But then again, better than I expected.

Week 14, Bungles v. Bills, PREDICT THE SCORE!
Mister Defense replied to Freddie's Dead's topic in The Stadium Wall
Tough one to predict--will likely come down to who wants it more. The Bengals may be hungrier, with Burrow back, and so fragile, both he and his team know that may not have many chances. But the Bills at home, with a resurgent defense and loud crowd should make the difference. Big game for this franchise I think--will their dominance in the AFC come to an end this year? Today? Brady finally realizes that without top quality wideouts he needs to actually use his other pass catchers more instead, including all of the running backs and the tight ends. Duh. And Shavers has a big day too. Bills 34, Bengals 24 But McD better have done this week what he clearly did last week--take complete control of ALL aspects of the defense during practice, game planning and then, today, the game calling. Looks like a completely different defense when he takes over, one that can propel the Bills to a championship. As opposed to the undisciplined unprepared mess that Babbich consistently puts on the field. -
Jim Kelly Rich Eisen interview
Mister Defense replied to \GoBillsInDallas/'s topic in The Stadium Wall
Yes, I would definitely always have a home in the Buffalo area too if I were Allen and had his wealth. I assume he will. There are things you cannot get in Southern California, where I grew up in part, that you can in Buffalo. (I mean the good things!) Where else will he be as respected and loved as much as he is in Buffalo? -
Jim Kelly Rich Eisen interview
Mister Defense replied to \GoBillsInDallas/'s topic in The Stadium Wall
Yeah, Jim looks great, in fact better than in years. Great to see and hear our hero in this interview. I hope Josh follows his lead, stays in Buffalo for the rest of his life, to some degree, and becomes the Prince of Buffalo. Before eventually taking over as King. -
But Cook and Davis make a dynamic one two punch, as they have such different styles of running. Using Davis more, such as in situations yesterday in Pittsburgh, would open the offense up more, enabling an even better running attack and opening up the passing game which is much needed right now. It would rock a defense even more that way, demoralize them more. And that lack of diversity in the running game would likely change because different backs do better in different plays and have different styles for defenses need to focus on. Even more importantly, with the lack of a good wide receiver group, using two backs more, and getting all of the backs involved in the passing game MUCH more help the passing game come alive. Get these dynamic pass catchers the ball! Been saying that for the last few years, thought this year that would be the case from the get go. It has not. A poor use of some of the best offensive talent on the Bills right now. But I agree on the lack of pass catchers, and Beane seems to just be digging his heels in now during the season.. Why not sign Jacobi Myers when he was available? And even more recently, Thielen?? Makes no sense--how could Beane look at what the Bills have and determine those two players are not upgrades for the dismal wide receiver group? Makes me lose some hope in this year.

Well, after seeing how Brady almost completely neglected what I thought would be a dynamic aspect of the team this year, three running backs who could all run AND catch very well, I would not at all be surprised to see Moore soon get on the roster in Denver soon and make a difference. When they said Davis had less than 50 yards rushing at the start of the last game, or something like that, if made me sick to my stomach. Why can't Brady or McDermott see what seems so completely obvious? It seems to be in some ways a lesser replay of what dumb dorsey did, what got him fired--not using their talent well, and neglecting some very obvious strong pieces. It will be their undoing, in my book.

Yup, zero evidence of any kind presented that a Bills' fan took it. If that was the case, and she knew this, why did she not go after it?? And if she is just assuming, and guessing, then who gives a flying #hit what she says? Sour grapes from a disgruntled steelers' fan after the type of domination that can deflate hope in a team--and have the crowd demanding the head coach finally get fired. The thread title should be changed--poster makes it clear that this is a little kid, "young steelers fan", but it is an adult woman. I hate things like that, that kind of clear bias, BS.

I don't know about her story... Something about playing playing around with your earring, and then your hair, when supposedly telling this sad story, about someone stealing a cherished memento given to you by your mom, does not add up for me. At all. Sort of like the idea that when someone touches your nose or face it is an indication of lying, but even more direct, distracting actions with this one. And what happened after they took this? No indication that she asked for it back, or went after it. At all. May very well be sour grapes after she witnessed the beat down of her team, the Bills running all over the ripped up curtain that is the pitt defens, in historic fashion.
