  1. Thank you for a fantastic season. Mistakes are a learning opportunity to learn. A Lombardi Trophy will be coming to Buffalo in the future.
  2. Last years offense was built around the notion that the defense would be good enough to protect the lead. The offensive playbook wasnt designed to be explosive. It was all about ball control, not throwing for three hundred yards. Given that, Tyrod did what the coaches asked of him and more. The simple fact is, our defense didnt do what it was supposed to do and the offense was ill equiped to respond. That isnt a Tyrod problem, it was coaching. This is why Rex was let go.
  3. Both sides of this argument are valid. We dont want people getting hurt due to irresponsible behavior and current pain killers or anti-inflammatory medications are proven to be inadequate. Why not let our professional athletes decide what serves them best before jumping to conclusions? Personally I can't take any prescription or over the counter anti-inflammatory due to severe allergic reaction. Marijuana is the only viable alternative. Would I go to work ripped... certainly not. Does pot impact my life in a negative way? Absolutely not. The same cannot be said for other medications or alcohol.
  4. The saying hindsight is 20/20 doesn't apply to this board. This team was in win now mode to end the playoff drought the past couple seasons. This is why the cap situation is what it is. The rest is speculation. Trying to figure out what each member of the staff did is pointless. Business decisions are collaborative efforts to make informed decisions and add a layer of protection when poor decisions are made.
  5. If some other team takes him and he plays well, the city of Buffalo will never forgive the front office. He has reasonable talent. Pick him in the 3rd.
  6. I would rather pay a guy that wants be here and puts in maximum effort than a player that is supposedly talented and gives up or gets injured due to technique. Dont forget, teams didn't have to pass due to the horrid run defense. On that note, I seem to remember Gilmore getting destroyed when defending the run. Are you telling me you would take Gilmore over Sherman? You can certainly cherry pick stats and make them comparable. Gilmore is not an elite CB. Plain and simple.
  7. From day one at the draft, Gilmore has never displayed any enthusiasm for being a Bill. I thought the guy was gonna start crying when he found out where he was going. He has talent but doesn't play with any kind of intensity on the field. He basically seems disconnected from the team as he gives up on plays. His tackling has always been sloppy. He injured his shoulder a while back because of sloppy tackling. If he didn't have one good game this year his stats would of been rather average for CB's. Which is exactly what he is.
  8. Its all speculation and no substance. Think about this. What if Taylor plays the final meaningless game of the season and tears his ACL. The spin then becomes incompetent management forced to pay Taylor due to the injury guarantee. As for the breakdown analysis... We were a run first offense. This severely limits what Taylor can do through the air. Now throw in a poor receiving core and theres another variable that should be addressed. How about the offensive line? Stats are deceptive plain and simple.
  9. Speaking from a west coast point of view, Western New York is up and coming once again. Infrastructure, education rate, and potential economic growth is all there. There will be steady growth over the next ten years and the Bills are a cornerstone of the entertainment industry. The Pegula's didn't just buy the team out of sentiment. There is tons of investment potential. Not to mention people generally root for the underdog. The media has done nothing but thrash One Bills Drive. Many people would love for us to displace the dominant force from Boston. I see many great things on the horizon. Thanks Terry and Kim!
  10. The front office doesn't need to improve their relationship with the media. Would you invite a known degenerate that specializes in being two-faced and lying into your home? Seriously, three quarters of the stuff in sports media now days is completely fabricated. Sensationalism be damned, its pure fiction now.
  11. Yes every once in a while you can win out with great defense. However you have to have a great quarterback to create dynasties now. Personally I think the NFL is emphasizing too much on the most difficult position in sports. Passing looks great on highlight reals, but how many cities are watching other teams highlights in January? Is this the parity the NFL touts? Eventually I expect the infusions of elite quarterbacks in the league to be diminished by the impossible standards the NFL and fans expect. Then we should have the same three or four teams winning year after year.
  12. You are missing the point and your post validates what I am saying. The statistics and rankings prove there are some really good things this organization has done over the past couple seasons. You can either embrace and build, or keep looking for faults until that's all you see.
  13. I was young and my mother passed away unexpectedly. Some time after I started watching games with some friends. The Bills were just awesome to watch and the atmosphere was always fun. They were a highlight in an otherwise gray time for me and I have been hooked ever since.
  14. I understand a lot of people wanted to see this team be successful. I have been a bills fan since the late 80's and would love nothing more than to see us become the dominating presence we once were. After the Superbowl years this team was gutted and left for dead. Ownership did nothing to help this team become relevant through some of the worse football I have ever seen. The damage that was done through the first decade of this century was deep and an uphill battle to fix. This team is rising and will soon be on top again. All the original points I made are evidence of something being built for success. The next part is getting on board as a fan to support this team. Part of the winning culture at one bills drive comes from the fan base. I swear its like people are stuck in the past and cant see anything good on the horizon unless its a QB that passes for 400 yards 4 TD's and 0 int every game.
  15. The thing is there was more good to watch than bad. I can remember a few seasons ago knowing full well this team would get decimated on certain matchups. In the past I hoped they would find a way to win but more often than not they wouldn't. This year was different. The team competed strongly in just about every game.
  16. Its nice to see the mob hysteria settling down. A few tweaks and the drought is over. This organization is on the verge of greatness.
  17. Firstly, I really wish all the negativity around this team would stop. Its not fair to the players, the organization, and the fans that truly love this team. That being said, I want to congratulate the team on a valiant effort this year. I cannot remember watching a full season of Bills football with such great anticipation. Every week this team showed up to play, and last weeks OT loss capped off what I feel was the theme of the season. It was a terrific effort with victory snatched away by a narrow margin. Speculation aside, this team was relevant all year and there is a culture shift happening. Some pros for the 2016 Bills season: McCoy matured as a player to represent our organization. I'm not just saying this from a statistic perspective, Shady played with maximum effort every game. He is now truly a Buffalo Bill in my eyes. Robert Woods is an underrated receiver and I truly hope he gets resigned. So many times the less flashy aspects of the game are over looked. Woods put his body on the line with every block he threw and every over the middle catch he made. This guy plays hard and deserves a spot on the roster. Our running offense was simply spectacular. This team ran at will on some pretty good defenses. Not only will our running game finish 1st after this weeks game, we will have finished 1st in convincing fashion. The offensive line has improved dramatically over the past couple years. The run blocking schemes are nothing short of brilliant every game. Sammy Watkins is spectacular and makes defenses look silly. Get him healthy this off season and get ready to see what this kid can do. Our pass defense is currently ranked 7th in a passing league. Gilmore and Darby got back to old form around mid season and never looked back. Also considering all the passing rule changes these guys looked pretty good. Team penalties were drastically reduced. This means our players are not resorting to cheating and showing discipline with their technique. EJ has been given time to develop behind our starting QB. This was the original plan if you all remember! Tyrod has proven to be a serviceable quarterback showing flashes of brilliance at times. Kyle just keeps playing his hardest every game. His work ethic is what should define this team and the city of Buffalo. I also want to give honorable mention to Lorenzo Alexander, Charles Clay, Felton, and Hughes for showing up every week. I can't remember the last time we had such a deep roster. The strength of schedule was tough this year. There was never a game I felt like the Bills had no chance and that's saying a lot compared to even a few years ago. A couple bad ref calls, maybe a better ball spot or one less broken tackle and we are in the playoffs. This team has talent on both sides of the ball. Lastly and perhaps most importantly, we have owners that not only want to see the team win like we used to, they are willing to pay staffing and players to get there. Blowing up the organization is what 17 years of frustration will do. I too want my team to win. However, this is a different team than we have had through the drought. Despite the record, this team is a contender and I will wait with great anticipation for the 2017 season the begin.
  18. I couldn't agree more with the op statements. Rex is a players coach for sure, but showed that we need more discipline today. Take away the crippling penalties last week and I'm sure the game is much closer. You have to expect these types of growing pains with a new coaching staff. By the end of the season I expect to dominate most teams without the cheap illegal crap mixed in. That being said, I still expect some more growing pains on the horizon. How this team responds to adversity down the road will dictate how far into the playoffs we go.
  19. Harvin is redeeming his career while Sammy has been a hyped up #1 pick. Both are excellent athletes, but one has more to prove.
  20. I'm glad the press is giving us some positive coverage for once. We all see it. This team is different. However, until we string together some wins the public's perception isn't going to change. I do however feel like analysts are just waiting for someone to knock the cheatriots off their pedestal. Who better to do it than the Bills? Don't be fooled, this game is as much psychological as it is physical. Players gain confidence when their fans show up and press coverage is positive. So stop whining and support your team.
  21. Where ever he lands I hope he gets some playoffs under his feet. Regardless of what team he plays for he will always be a Buffalo Bill.

  23. He may have slowed down a little over the past couple years but the guy did everything else right. Excellent blocking, always and I mean always falls forwards for a couple extra yards, and was an emotional leader of this team. I hate this decision. The guy deserved one playoff run. Its gonna suck down the road when he burns us for a game winning TD playing in a pats uniform.
