I love Baker...... on an opposing team. Glad Cleveland is losing 2/3rds of their games right now...they have the talent to be a Wild Card threat if they ever put it together. -
I am so ***** sick of hearing about the Patriots....it reminds me of this scene from Miracle. Just ***** beat the ***** in NE at the end of the season and rip the AFC East from their grasp and then kick their ass again in the playoffs. Put an end to this ***** 20 year show...

Have You Ever Been Fired From a Job?
JoeF replied to Halloween Land's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Yes. In the situation, I actually should have been fired about 4 years earlier in the role I was in, but the entity would have cratered so the board overlooked it. Eventually, I was insubordinate to a board member in a board finance committee meeting and then negotiated a severance with the chairman. We were working on a contract extension at the time that I really didn't want. Not one of the prouder times for me. -
Calling it now: Zay Jones will not be on the week 1 roster.
JoeF replied to Alphadawg7's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Good call, Alpha. I believe it had gotten to the point where Josh had little faith in Zay to make a play if he targeted him. Zay was always a second or third read and when he was targeted the results were only good about a quarter of the time or less. When a QB loses faith in the target, its pretty much time to move on. I know this won't be popular -- but Robert and Maneesha (Zay's parents) are really good people. My kids and I met them traveling to Buffalo two years ago and have had brief conversations since then. Maneesha actually face timed Zay and had him talk to my young son the first time we met. Like every mother and father, they support their children through all of life's trials and tribulations. That they choose to do that on twitter is questionable judgement but its also a reflection of the modern world. As a teammate and person, I am sure that a lot of the Bills players are coaches are sorry to see Zay go...as a player--it just didn't work out. Beane likely stretched this out a bit longer than he normally would because Zay fit the culture they wanted. Beane didn't draft him but I think he still felt "ownership" of Zay. I wish Zay the best in Oakland. I hope he has a career that mirrors Robert Woods. I also hope the Bills whip the Cowboys on Thanksgiving so I can do a little yakking next time I see Mr. Jones...because I know if the reverse happens I will be the "yakkee".... By the way-- he is still a pretty damn big, intimidating man... -
My son wanted to go to this game as his HS graduation present. Damn fine young man!!!! Bought tickets in July and found cheap flights and decent hotel rates.

I hope Jordan Phillips decides he doesn't want to leave Buffalo and signs a reasonable extension....$6.5 million average value puts him in the top 20 in the league. Front end load a 3 year deal...put $11 Million in the first year (next year) in his pocket and then base salaries of $5Million and $3.5Million the last two years.

Its two games, but I love the aggressive style on both ends. No one stands in front of Hutton unchecked...that is new. All this without Montour who I think will be a beast in the system. His speed, puck handling and aggressive poke check style (Not a brute but not a whimp either) will make the Sabres even more formidable and deep. Can't help but see the a few rays of light starting to poke through the darkness.

I am glad Younghoe gets a chance to hone skills on the practice squad...Kraft likely saw potential....

Marcel Dareus cited for weed possession in Florida

Don't forget Dareus dropping into coverage. Rex had a Ferrari and treated it like a Taurus... I think he may have written his ticket out of Duval... -
Have You Started To Lose Faith in Josh Allen?
JoeF replied to Phil The Thrill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Nope....and it took me a while to gain faith in him. The final score would have been 24-16 Bills last week with Josh playing the last two drives. Daboll and Allen had figured it out. Bills gained almost two times the yards the average the Pats had yielded to their first 3 opponents. -
Frank's presence on the Bills will have long-lasting positive impact on Devin Singletary. Just like Kyle Williams on Harrison Philips; Just like Lorax on Edmunds and Milano; Just like Derek Anderson on Josh; .....I like the "seasoned and accomplished vet in each position room" strategy

Josh Allen in concussion protocol: Update cleared 10/5
JoeF replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I hope Josh is okay. He desperately wanted back in the game. The hit was horseshit...Jones knew exactly what he was doing. A player who leads with his helmet knows he is leading with his helmet. The Bills didn't run a complex defensive scheme today. They stacked the line and were just better than the Pats O. They were quicker, faster and aggressive. They were not on their heels waiting for Brady to bring the game to them. December 22nd. That's all I got to say. It may be flexed to a Sunday night game. The revenge will be walking out of Foxboro with a win hopefully in a game that matters. -
I should have said "could" have-- meaning the Bills have the talent to match up with the Pats...you are correct @klos63
