Wk#14 Bills vs Ravens PreGame Thread
JoeF replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Jackson is at his best when he can create. Bills D needs to get pressure as soon after the snap as possible. The Ravens injured Center (out for the season) may come into play. Edmunds, Milano, Oliver and Phillips need to be really quick off the snap. -
On really windy days, is the 1st level bad?
JoeF replied to BillsCuse's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
We have seats in the lowers. Wind is much less of a factor. I agree with Bferra13! -

Doug Flutie to be legend of the game this Sunday

Bills should have brought them both back (RJ and Flutie) for a cage match pre-game to sell out and get the crowd riled. Missed opportunity! -

There's no cap to deal with here...I am confident the Pegulas will not quiver over this and make them among the highest paid in their roles in the league with some head room to grow the numbers during the term of the deals. Terry built his oil organization by retaining and empowering great talent. He will likely do the same here. We are talking about an asset that is now worth over $2 Billion and the two people who are in charge of that asset. He won't skimp.
-
Great job, Virgil. My only request is that the Pegulas extend both Beane and McDermott...and as much of the coaching staff and front officer as possible. We are going to lose a couple from the coaching staff and the front office I predict...but I have confidence we have a deep bench in both areas.

As to how he grew up and where he grew up, that was more than a decade ago...he's had a lot of lessons. Instead of speculating or downgrading...maybe just pray for healing.

Safe travels to all. Flying to Love Field from RDU tomorrow evening with wife and 3 sons.

You at least tried...here's your participation trophy. I am glad the young lady saw this as a teaching moment. PS. My wife had to help me the last time I changed the wiper blades on my car. Like you, I put the wrong frickin adapter on the passenger side. Turned a 5 minute job into an hour....

[Incomplete Title] Did Corey Liuget have any snaps in
JoeF replied to FLBillsGuy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The more snaps Star gets the better he seems to play---who knew?? Maybe running on and off the field is more taxing than staying on it...This week, with Dallas' pro bowl caliber OL, will be a test.... -
Bills @ Cowboys, Thanksgiving Day - 4:30
JoeF replied to whatdrought's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Just a couple of thoughts... On D-- I doubt there are many people that know the intricacies of the Cowboys O playbook and the tendencies of the Cowboys playmakers (Dak, Elliott, etc) like Cole Beasley....this might be an interesting asset for the Bills D on a short week. I think Kevin Johnson gets more snaps this week than Levi because of Gallup's physical nature.... I think Taron Johnson is molding into a really good slot corner -- Randall Cobb will be a test On O-- A time of possession difference like the Bronco's game would be awesome...almost 10 minutes The middle will be there because the Cowboys will focus Jaylon Smith and Sean Lee (if no Leighton Vander Esch) on the run and watching Josh-- if Dawson Knox, Tyler Kroft and Cole Beasley find space they could all have big days.... -
Roll Call. Buffalo vs Dallas there in Arlington

Will be there with wife and 3 sons.. -
I think the Bills have two things going for them. First, Jordan has impressed the coaching staff and made the front office look like geniuses. Jordan knows what being in a dog house looks like and will likely discount overall contract value to stay in an environment where he knows he is respected and has been designated a leader. Second, overall contract value pales in comparison to the upfront guarantee. This is where the Bills can "outbid" other teams. Put money in his pocket to reward him for the play this year. Do it now and sew it up. Bills have $24M+ in carryover. I think this gets done by Week 17 and the Bills use some of the unneeded carry-over cap to get it done. 3 year extension/$27 Million and $15Million in bonuses split between $10 Million this year (encumbered all in the 2019 season as added salary) and $5M next with base salaries of $4M a year for the next three years.

Brandt: "People are crazy to tell Josh Allen not to run"
JoeF replied to HOUSE's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The RPOs and designed sweeps are pretty damn cool though...slide or get out of bounds. If the defense has to dedicate a spy to Josh running -- it has to open up passing lanes. -
You forgot Ed Oliver to RG...but who's counting...

Josh Cab on sale at Sam's for $10.68--bought two tonight....

Now is the time to stop playing not to lose!!!
JoeF replied to PUNT750's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
So you think Josh hasn’t been told to stay in the ***** pocket on non-RPO plays and designed QB runs this year and you feel that is our best chance to win? If so I disagree with you... -

The Bills may be trading a one and done playoff appearance this year for a quarterback developing: - A more refined ability to read defenses - Some self preservation skills - A reduction in "idiotic" plays - More consistent mechanics - Better sense of line of scrimmage calls Not sure its time to take the reins off...taking the reins off likely results in more hits like the NE game. Just speculating... -
This category includes me....I am trying...for example I am experiencing the wonderful Denver International Airport tonight for 3 extra hours!!!! Awesome!!! No sign of Kaep here by the way.
