He is an excellent blocker in both protection and the run game. At this point he would be a #2 to Dawson. I would do one year in a heartbeat. Put as many options around Josh as you can. Tre wants to win as badly as anyone. He would embrace him.

Most compelling stat from Sunday's game....37 points total. 34 of them scored by the team that was playing with the wind. Bills had a lot of 3 and outs when they were playing against the wind. When Josh can use the entire field and the deep ball is a threat it opens up the Josh run game and the run game overall. Bills are a different team with the wind or when there is no wind.

Ross may be listening to Marino. There was something not right about the Dolphins the last couple of years even with the W-L record. Things like signing Kyle Van Noy to a long term deal and then cutting him after one season - made no sense. It had to put strain on internal relationships. Dolphins folded in big games pretty consistently.

Coach is leaning on the culture he built and the individuals who make-up the "team" including players, coaches, front office, Lorax, Marlon Kerner, Len Vanden Bos and others to create an environment where Jake can personally develop. This whole "be your best self" thing in Buffalo. As a fan, we can either accept that the Bills have moved forward with Fromm as part of the team or not. For the vast majority that's a pretty easy decision. For a few, it may not be. Respecting how each other respond to this is part of life and part of why there is a 52 page thread on this. This thread reflects how TBD became and continues to be an awesome place.

And how do you know this until you look into it? So you think the Bills should just drop it now and not investigate further? Doesn't sit well with me.

I understand its a private text, but is it a reflection of a pattern of behavior? I think the Bills should at least investigate that aspect of this if they haven't as part of their due diligence on him. If its a pattern; if there are other incidents (and that's a big if) it would be hard to keep him.

From a talent perspective, no doubt. You likely disagree, but I've never seen the clipboard holder job as solely based on talent. You have to assume your starter is going to get 80+% of the snaps (13 or 14 of 16 games even with an injury). I want a player who knows his main job is to help QB1 with preparation -- be there with him watching film, analyzing, assessing practice and also getting himself mentally ready to play if the unlikely event happens that he does have to play. He is QB1's sounding board who isn't the QB coach or OC. I think its needed. QB2 is going to get very few practice reps after the start of the regular season. I like a low maintenance guy who works hard and supports QB1..the strategy ***** the bed if QB1 goes down for a long time, but odds are having a good role fit QB2 is better than having a divided QB room. Like I said, you likely disagree--but this is my take...
