  1. Thanks for sharing. I had seen snippets of this but not the entire story. Bum Phillips used to say that Don Shula could take his guys and beat your guys and also take your guys and beat his guys...I am not sure Belichick is in that category. He is a brilliant coach and may go down as the greatest in history, particularly on Defense and Special Teams. However, Tom Brady's work ethic, brains, accuracy and competitiveness/will to win was on equal footing to Belichick's brilliance to what made the Pats so great for so long. Last year, the fact that the Pats made the playoffs, was probably one of his better coaching jobs. This year, handing the offense to Matt Patricia and Joe Judge without McDaniels there is not a great recipe for success from an outsider's view. The draft record is not even average. Still, I wouldn't start shoveling dirt on the coffin just yet.....
  2. This is awesome. My daughter was a nurse in the pediatric ICU at UNC hospital. She currently is pursuing a PhD as a certified nurse anesthetist at Duke (dad brag moment). Mitchell was a frequent visitor to the pediatric ICU during her time there. Just a super good young man.
  3. On D-Sam Cowart would be somewhere on my list of top 10 athletes. He was tremendous before the ankle and the achilles. Agree with the Kyle Williams mention as well. On O- Doug Flutie may be in a top 10. Size was a limiting factor but speed, elusiveness, accuracy and arm talent all were good. The guy just needed a chance.
  4. Thought this was a nice tribute to Luke by his FIU teammates... https://wsvn.com/sports/fiu-panthers-pay-tribute-to-luke-knox-at-seasons-1st-home-football-game/
  5. Best three minutes of my day! Thanks Wiz!
  6. A rare form rosteritis version 53 possibly with a stash infection
  7. Cannot get him here fast enough....the best possible outcome for the Bills on the field from this really awful situation.
  8. SDPD has turned their report over to the DA for possible charges. This may take a while. If there are criminal charges then I believe its an easy decision to cut. But let the criminal as opposed to civil process play out. Until then I think reserve/suspended is an option. It shows the Bills believe this is serious and are not tone deaf to the times, but still says we need more time to understand the veracity of the possible criminal charges. Reserve/Suspended Players who have been suspended by the NFL are not eligible for PUP (unless they have a pre-existing injury situation that's keeping them out of practice). Suspended players are allowed to practice during the offseason and play in preseason games. During final roster cuts, suspended players are moved to the Reserve/Suspended list and do not count against the 53-man roster limit. They are not allowed to be around NFL team facilities while being forced to train on their own, absent from their teammates and coaches.
  9. A’s sign the guy because he gets on base and he doesn't look like Fabio
  10. Our dad would separate their shoulders and break their femurs. Big trees fall hard....
  11. Was so moved by the video profile that the Bills media team did of the Knox's. A really beautiful family. Just tragic.
  12. We're on to Cincinnati
  13. Saw a marketing opportunity like Rodman...Tom's will be Two Weeks with Ben Affleck and Matt Damon....
  14. The draft is such an inexact process. The Bills leadership did great due diligence on Josh. But does the team really know how much the player wants to be great until he begins to work with the team? If you look what was on the table -- Josh was the riskiest (rawest) yet safest (strongest arm, best athlete) choice. The Bills have done a tremendous job surrounding Josh with everything he needs to be successful and of not getting in the way of his work ethic (Working with Jordan Palmer not against him). BillsPride you saw the talent before a lot of folks great job. One short story...We attended the Titans home game Josh's rookie year. Not his best game by far but still a win. We were in the airport Monday waiting for our flight home and a prominent Bills alum was on the same flight. He was talking on the phone as he got to the gate. He was telling the other party how "This kid sucks and will never be a pro QB. We will be starting over again in three years" were his almost exact words. This same ex-player has been quoted publicly now praising Josh the last two years. I think a lot of us were like this including me. I am so glad Josh Allen is a Buffalo Bill.
  15. Jordan Phillips to Rachel Bush - "No baby, it's really me. Camp does weird things to a man. Can you rub some suntan lotion on me, baby?"
  16. I was wondering who was going to replace the "I love you Josh Allen" Cole Beasley would let out every pre-game. Keenum's "Josh, Josh, Josh" scream is perfect.....
  17. He uses the "f" word like i use the "f' word - every part of speech....and I thought I couldn't love him any more than I do...how wrong I was.
  18. Thoughts and prayers for additional pain and inflammation prior to and on September 8th.....😉
  19. Ditto....
  20. They opened up a Beer Hall...Quite Nice....been once since we moved here. https://surlybrewing.com/destination-brewery/ In many ways MSP reminds me of WNY...great people, strong work-ethic, generational families, gritty, etc. Particularly Saint Paul. Where are you going today? I am headed to the big bedpan.....It kind of goes with Highmark
  21. This is the soccer stadium in Saint Paul (about two miles away from my house)...
  22. The view from my seats at the new stadium..... I will pay the PSL but it means I likely can't afford my meds -- fair warning to everyone. I see Robert Redford at the plate...
  23. Thanks, Tipster. God bless you and your family, particularly your son.
  24. We are headed the wrong direction. We moved from NC to Saint Paul, MN by choice two years ago. Stepson is good at hockey and wanted to play in HS, we have our own consulting business with clients around the country so just need a good airport. Its fun to give a kid an opportunity like this even if his hockey playing days end at High School. This is my second stint in the Twin Cities and I enjoy it. It's gotten me back to being cold weather tough. We are thinking about two centers for retirement...near kids and grandkids so back in NC (likely in the Sandhills area --- Pinehurst) and maybe a little place in a certain town with a football team we both enjoy...
