I think that part is very debatable. If you want to say last year, sure. But in his 5 year career , I would definitely not say Edmunds was a very good player.
-
Now THIS was the news I was waiting to hear!!!🎉
-
Us “morons” call a spade a spade. His first 4 years he was an extremely inconsistent player. (Which is why he probably wasn’t signed to a long term extension before year 5) Last year he was good, no doubt. But for 18 mil a year for a guy who is very up and down and doesn’t do much in big games? No thanks
-
Was never a big Edmunds fan. He definitely had a good year last season, but for 18 mil a season? Goodbye..
-
Miami and KC are two teams I know a lot about and they don’t invest a ton in special teams. They use rookies/cheap vets to fill those slots and aren’t “designated special team players”
-
I don't know for every team, but I know for a few that I follow and they don't commit those resources to special teams the Bills do. And we are also tight to the cap, so there is also that..
-
Every team seems to have 1-2 niche special teams guys they pay for, seems like the bills have 3-4 every year
-
They just can’t help themselves when it comes to signing niche special team players… Love the Martin signing, not a fan of the Matakevich
-
Yes sir I agree with you. One more concussion to Tua and their season is basically over as well.
-
I would agree with all of this except one thing: Miami was SHREDDING GB before Tua got his concussion. Had like 250 yards or something in the 1st half with 2 TDs, and this was against the number 1 pass defence
-
True. The way I look at it, we sucked for 2 decades. I can stomach 5 bad years for a SB win lol
-
I would still do that trade off all day. If bills won a SB and then sucked for the next 5-7 years, sign me up.
-
Interesting just checked Ramsey’s contract and there is no dead cap if the Dolphins cut him after this year. But I would assume Ramsey is going to want a new contract and that’s part of the reason he was getting traded. (Rams couldn’t afford it)
-
Yep. Even in that super bowl game he got torched. Still a good player, but he’s an overpaid guy who’s an idiot and is on the last 3rd of his career.
-
1. Turning 29 which is aging in the NFL, especially in a position like corner. 2. I would strongly disagree he had the best season in his career as he got to torched a ton. 3. He has a massive cap hit
-
Fine by me if the Dolphins want to blow their cap space on an aging corner who isn’t elite anymore

Bills reportedly interested in Jamaal Williams

I would guess around 2 years between 9-10 total. Can’t see a 27 year old rotation back getting 3 years, but you never know -
Robert Woods to Texans, 2 years $15mm

Kind of happy the bills didn’t sign woods. They need to get faster and younger, and woods is the opposite of that- 46 replies

Per Shefty - Bills “expected to lose” Poyer and Edmunds
BillsFan130 replied to BeastMode54's topic in The Stadium Wall
I don’t think any of us are expecting to hold teams like the chiefs under 20 points. But 3 years of horrible playoff losses isn’t good enough. Which is why Frazier is gone. (I will never buy he retired, this was a polite way of firing him IMHO) Also, SF/Phly had one bad game, not 3 years in a row with ugly defensive playoff exits. Go back to last years playoffs, SFs D was dominant. No one is even expecting the Bills D to be dominant, just be competent. (Like the bengals defence the last 2 years) -

I am not cherry picking any of the data. I mentioned they have been very good in the regular season. They have also had some nice games in the playoffs as well. (Against mediocre QBs mind you) Where they have failed time and time again is against elite QBs, three years in a row. Those are facts. It’s not cherry picking anything . -

Ok I’ll take a step back and try to understand your line of thinking as I just don’t see where you’re coming from. So you’re good with having great regular seasons , only to flame out against great QBs in the playoffs? Because that is the fact of the matter We are talking almost 1500 yards in their last 3 losses combined and an average of over 35 points per game. (One game against burrow and 2 against Mahomes) So yes I am looking at the last 3 losses, because if the bills go to the SB, they have to beat the elite QBs and they have showed they can’t even be remotely competitive on the defensive side against them “Once is a mistake. Twice is a coincidence. Three times is a pattern” -

What good is it if you are the “number 1” defence but you can’t stop a nose bleed against great QBs in the playoffs?? I really don’t understand your thinking here. It’s not a small sample size of their playoff failures. You can even add in choking a 16 point 3rd quarter lead against Houston back in 2019 -

How can they be much worse? Lol. Their defence was atrocious in the last 3 playoff losses. That part is inarguable
