  1. Kind of happy the bills didn’t sign woods. They need to get faster and younger, and woods is the opposite of that
  2. I don’t think any of us are expecting to hold teams like the chiefs under 20 points. But 3 years of horrible playoff losses isn’t good enough. Which is why Frazier is gone. (I will never buy he retired, this was a polite way of firing him IMHO) Also, SF/Phly had one bad game, not 3 years in a row with ugly defensive playoff exits. Go back to last years playoffs, SFs D was dominant. No one is even expecting the Bills D to be dominant, just be competent. (Like the bengals defence the last 2 years)
  3. I am not cherry picking any of the data. I mentioned they have been very good in the regular season. They have also had some nice games in the playoffs as well. (Against mediocre QBs mind you) Where they have failed time and time again is against elite QBs, three years in a row. Those are facts. It’s not cherry picking anything .
  4. Ok I’ll take a step back and try to understand your line of thinking as I just don’t see where you’re coming from. So you’re good with having great regular seasons , only to flame out against great QBs in the playoffs? Because that is the fact of the matter We are talking almost 1500 yards in their last 3 losses combined and an average of over 35 points per game. (One game against burrow and 2 against Mahomes) So yes I am looking at the last 3 losses, because if the bills go to the SB, they have to beat the elite QBs and they have showed they can’t even be remotely competitive on the defensive side against them “Once is a mistake. Twice is a coincidence. Three times is a pattern”
  5. What good is it if you are the “number 1” defence but you can’t stop a nose bleed against great QBs in the playoffs?? I really don’t understand your thinking here. It’s not a small sample size of their playoff failures. You can even add in choking a 16 point 3rd quarter lead against Houston back in 2019
  6. How can they be much worse? Lol. Their defence was atrocious in the last 3 playoff losses. That part is inarguable
  7. Honest question though. Can the bills defence be any worse in their last 3 playoff losses? What is the point In paying him 18 mil a year so our defence is better in the regular season?
  8. Edmunds isn’t a flashy player. So how would they know if he’s good or not unless they watched every bills game? I think the media portrays Edmunds as a “good” player and he’s a relatively “big name”. Us bills fans have watched him for 5 years and we still can’t come to a consensus whether he’s good or not haha
  9. I am sure you understand, as it all comes down to revunue generated. There is a reason why lacrosse players make 20k a year compared to NFL and NBA guys who make tens of millions. Football is a business which attracts a lot of money, and the players get a certain percentage of that revenue.
  10. Good. Spend the money on the offence.
  11. I don’t either. 15 touchdown passes for 40 mil a year… Blows my mind
  12. Yep thank you. Basically every D coordinator in the playoffs knew how to play the bengals except Frazier. Ravens, chiefs the week after. Only Frazier would go into the game with a soft zone plan in wet and slippery surfaces.
  13. They adjusted when it was what, 14-0? Look at the stats in the 1st half. Against zone burrow was like 16-19 for 2 TDs. And against man he was like 2 for 7. You can’t just spot a team 14 points in a bad weather game. When I said “adjustments “, I meant game plan going in
  14. Bills players were awful that game and it’s not just on the defence, I will acknowledge that. But Frazier gave them no chance to win. When you sit in a soft zone essentially all game, it’s too easy for Mahomes and burrow. They are “taking what the defence” gives them, and Frazier gave them easy yards all game . If they challenged the bengals, played man to man/pressed their receivers and still got crushed, I would have 0 problem with frazier. It’s the fact that he literally didn’t even give them a chance. This passive game plan has now been exposed 3 years in a row by great QBs, and he failed to make any adjustments. Inexcusable
  15. Ya the injuries are an excuse in my opinion. Our corners were fully healthy and we play everyone in a soft shell. (The most bizarre part is we trade up to get a man to man guy in Elam, then play him in that zone which he’s not good at) If your pass rush is struggling which is was, that is when you press/jam the receivers, so the pass rush has an extra half a second to get home. Frazier completely dropped the ball on the game plan. I think we could have had Lawrence Taylor and aaron Donald and still lost that game
  16. I don’t think anyone expects the bills defence to be great against Great QBs. But just get SOME stops Cincis defence over the last two years in the playoffs is a prime example in my opinion
  17. I wonder if this is just a polite way of “firing” him? As Much as I don’t like Frazier as a coordinator, he seems like a great guy, so maybe McDermott didn’t want to throw him under the bus publicly
  18. My argument is the defence sucks with him in the playoffs while he always looks lost, so what difference does it make signing him? To have better regular season stats? I am not saying sign a big free agent. Sign a low cost guy/draft one in the mid rounds, and spend the money/assets on the offence
  19. He’s the Leslie Frazier of players. Good in the regular season, then gets toyed with by the great QBs in the playoffs. IMO not worth retaining him because of that, but I definitely see your point
  20. Yes but that’s only If they agree to a long term extension if I understand correctly. His contract is expired so if they tag him and can’t trade him, he’s either playing under the tag or they reach an extension while the tag is placed on him. (In which Edmunds would have the leverage as there is no way they can absorb a 22 mil cap hit this year)
  21. People I also think forget that if the bills tag Edmunds, it’s like 22 mil…. That’s a pretty dangerous game to play if you can’t find a suitable trade partner, as Edmunds would literally have all the leverage in the world
  22. Ya but the bigger question is what if he isn’t good at the position? As he’s never played it before. Then you got a major hole lol. I am not saying draft one. I am saying just bring in a low cost Vet for 2-3 mil to compete with him. (That’s nothing and it’s a bit of a security blanket)
  23. I like the idea, just bring in a low cost vet to compete with him. It wouldn't be smart to go all in on a 6th round sophemore who hasn't played the position before.
  24. Joe Marino is great. He is turning into a bit of a homer which I’m not a fan of lol, but he provides great insights and is very knowledgeable
  25. These are really good points
