Brady took less money from the Pats* compared to what he could have gotten in the open market. But I don't believe Brady actually made less money overall by staying with the Pats*. I'm wrong quite often enough, and admit it when I believe I am. But you still haven't managed to come up with even ONE end of the depth chart. CB who Gilmore isn't better than. He'll have to pass a physical, I believe, so I'm thinking your "medial report" issue is nonsense at this point. I tell you what, if Gilmore doesn't play this year due to him being injured now, I'll say I was wrong. If he plays and looks worse than the worst CB on ANY NFL team, I'll say I was wrong. But as of now, your argument doesn't have a leg to stand on. What they got in trade doesn't equal his ability or value. They were in a no win situation and took squat for him. The Pats* got NOTHING for Antonio Brown. He must not be better than the worst WR on teams, or they would be lining up to sign him, right?
-
Are you arguing Gilmore doesn't make EVERY team's roster better? Seriously? If you take the CB at the bottom of EVERY NFL roster and replace that guy with Gilmore, there roster hasn't improved in talent? Seriously? He's a rental for the rest of the year. Some teams don't want/need that. He might be a bit of a headache for some. Some rosters (and coaches) can handle that more than others. Some teams simply don't have the cap space even if they wanted to sign him. I'm still trying to figure out what Alpha's HUGE mistake was, by saying Gilmore would make every roster better. He would. Just obvious, IMO.

He was released, but the cut doesn't process until 4PM. The Pats* said, basically, "he's gone, but we're still looking to trade him if someone really wants him". The trade was done before the papers were processed. I'd like to know what the Panthers have to pay him now. But I have to assume they have the cap space. And giving up a 6th (in 2023?) is a no brainer. The Panthers will be knocking on a playoff door this year. This is a good move for them. The Pats* got hosed, but Gilmore more or less assured that. They got something instead of nothing. Life's strange sometimes.

Benny the Butcher + Bills dropped updated Bills mafia video
The Dean replied to CorkScrewHill's topic in The Stadium Wall
Not too bad. The lyrics could use a bit of work, but pretty catchy otherwise. -
Great. The actual story is better than just the tweet.

Doesn't even make sense. Everything happened exactly the way it was supposed to. In what way? Is Dareus a multiple Defensive Player of the Year? Is he considered in the very top echelon of those in his position? Other than they used to play for the Bills, I don't see a lot of similarities here.

Yes, what a TERRIBLE move by the Rams bringing in the horrible Stafford. 🤣 Not sure, but it looks like you are suggesting that Jake would be Stefon's replacement here. That would be a MAJOR downgrade, IMO.

Agree for the most part. But it would be very hard for a team, any team, to hire him at this time, IMO. Need some temporal distance from this crap

One Bills Live with Chris Brown and... Maddy Glab?
The Dean replied to Giuseppe Tognarelli's topic in The Stadium Wall
Larry was my next door neighbor for a year or two. Great guy. But for those who are bothered by "bad" voices, I imagine they might have an issue with Larry. I liked him quite a bit. But he didn't have a voice for broadcast. So nobody knows why Tasker is missing? -
Yes, as I said, he was fast. But he wasn't the quality of WR that is on the team now, for the most part. IMO of course.

live rn? No idea what that is, But enjoy!

Anyone see this great band play the MNF theme from their "house" coming out of a commercial break? It was TIGHT. The Main Squeeze. Never heard of them. I assume some of you in the midwest may have. Here's a Floyd cover: Here's an original, I believe:

Maybe I need to watch it again (no I probably don't). I'm no Urban fan and not inclined to defend him here. But it really looked like it could him just trying to move her, and that's the position his hand was in. It didn't linger from what I could see. A bad look? Hell yes. A Terrible look. But I'm not entirely convinced he was "fingering" her on purpose. I'm not sure he wasn't, either. We really have no idea what the hell went on. Very brief, I guess you could say "out of context" video, since we don't see when and how she approached of the aftermath. I try as had as possible to be as fair as I can when evaluating these things. I have a feeling we'll be seeing more video that might give us a clearer picture.
-
Well, not sure it is over for him. But, as I implied earlier, I don't see Khan firing him for this, unless something else breaks. But you never know. Several ESPN commentators gave reasonable arguments why he should be fired. I don't necessarily disagree with them. And I think it might be justifiable, given this isn't the first time he's screwed up in his current job. Putting aside the womanizing, if I'm the owner looking at an 0-4 record, with a new HC who has already made some rookie mistakes---well, I think he might try to cut his losses. But right now, I think he's safe for another week. Even if he is, his rope just got a lot shorter. Just my uninformed and useless opinion. I have no special insight here.

What was up with Beasley today?
The Dean replied to JerseyBills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'll make this my last post in this now God awful thread. The fans have a right to boo. They paid to get in and they can cheer, boo or keep quiet. Beasley has the right to his opinions. He can post them on Twitter and, if he wants, insult ALL Bills fans. But having the right to do something doesn't mean you have to do. Sometimes it's not the best option to let the world know you are an idiot. -

Really? I don't see him saying SOME fans or "a small number of fans" . Hisi comment was directed at the Bills fan base, period. That's the big issue to me. That and he can't stop drawing attention to himself. I actually think he might have just been a bit pissed because he had so few targets yesterday. -

But is he REALLY getting booed by a large number of fans, or just a few? And is the best response for him to tweet insults at the fan base? We can deal with this issue without getting into the vax issue. In fact, most of us are doing just that. But you have to have some self control., -

I thought this thread was about Bees being pissed at the entire Bills fan base, because he heard some booing. When did all this vax stuff get blown up? Do you think Beasly is right to call out the entire Bills fan base? THAT;S the topic. I think some are just looking to get the topic shut down. -
This. I am NOT defending him for his behavior, but judging by the evidence so far, she seems MORE than willing to participate in what's happening. And I can even imagine his "fingering" might have simply been him trying to push her off a bit. Still he shouldn't be in that position.

Thanks. If that is it, it doesn't look as if McDermott is even talking to Cole. A Nothing Burger here. -

Perception is subjective. You don't know what someone said, only what you heard. Most of the time these two sync up, but not always. Plus in a situation like this, you are overwhelmed by the loudest/nearest sounds. So if you have three people booing (maybe not even Bills fans) while others are cheering, you might detect boos. Same as if some are screaming Bees while others are screaming something else, you could interpret the entire cacophony as boos with Bees. What seems clear is, most agree they heard PRIMARLY Bees being chanted. Doesn't mean there weren't a few boos mixed in. -

Until he tweeted, i hadn't heard a word about Bees' vax status for quite some time. I think he makes his own problems with his inability to simply ignore the very few who booed/or heckled.
