From the front page of today's BN Trump transition in disarray with firings, infighting 2 advisers on national security team ousted as world leaders try for contact By Julie Hirschfeld Davis, Mark Mazzetti and Maggie Haberman NEW YORK TIMES Two officials who had been handling national security for the transition, former Rep. Mike Rogers and Matthew Freedman, a lobbyist who consults with corporations and foreign governments, were fired. Both were part of what officials described as a purge orchestrated by Jared Kushner, Trump’s son-in-law and close adviser. The dismissals followed the abrupt firing Friday of New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie as transition chief in favor of Vice President-elect Mike Pence . Kushner, husband of Trump’s daughter Ivanka, was systematically dismissing people such as Rogers and Freedman who had ties with Christie, a transition official said. As a federal prosecutor, Christie had sent Kushner’s father to prison.

Jim Schwartz took Eagles 30th ranked defense to top 5
ALF replied to Yeezus's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Rex hire with his complex D that players do not buy into. Jets still screwed up Going to a 3-4 when the team was clicking on 4-3 , needing new players to fit a Rex D. Looking back hire a HC who Schwartz would want to work with as DC, and keeping Donnie Henderson Unlikely would have Taylor here , maybe draft Dak instead -

Leger Douzable petitions Cuomo to get Uber in Buffalo
ALF replied to YoloinOhio's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Uber is also putting a dent in the car rental business . Airbnb cutting into hotel , who have high taxes added on. Taxi cabs have huge insurance costs , how does Uber get around that? -
I wonder if a replay showed him step out of bounds. He was wearing white shoes, so hard to tell without a closeup shot.

I never heard of Steve Bannon before today, reading a little about him , good grief.

Trump also balked when asked whether he'd carry out his campaign pledge to appoint a special prosecutor to investigate Clinton. "I don't want to hurt them," Trump said of the Clintons, noting he'd spoken to both Hillary and Bill Clinton since his victory. "They're good people. I don't want to hurt them. http://www.cnn.com/2016/11/13/politics/donald-trump-60-minutes-first-interview/index.html

Electoral College The U.S. Constitution contains very few provisions relating to the qualifications of Electors. Article II, section 1, clause 2 provides that no Senator or Representative, or Person holding an Office of Trust or Profit under the United States, shall be appointed an Elector Political parties often choose Electors for the slate to recognize their service and dedication to that political party. They may be state elected officials, state party leaders, or people in the state who have a personal or political affiliation with their party's Presidential candidate. There is no Constitutional provision or Federal law that requires Electors to vote according to the results of the popular vote in their states. Some states, however, require Electors to cast their votes according to the popular vote. These pledges fall into two categories—Electors bound by state law and those bound by pledges to political parties. The Supreme Court has not specifically ruled on the question of whether pledges and penalties for failure to vote as pledged may be enforced under the Constitution. No Elector has ever been prosecuted for failing to vote as pledged. https://www.archives.gov/federal-register/electoral-college/electors.html December 19, 2016 The Electors meet in their state and vote for President and Vice President on separate ballots. Americans vote for the president on Election Day, but they're really casting votes for each state's electors, who will decide the next president on Dec. 19. Washington state elector says he won't vote for Clinton Robert Satiacum, a member of the Puyallup Tribe, supported Bernie Sanders in the Democratic primary, which the Vermont senator won by approximately a 3-to-1 margin. http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2016/11/05/washington-state-elector-says-wont-vote-for-clinton.html

Gilmore "was" reportedly available for trade
ALF replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Hope we can afford to keep Lorax and Z Brown (just turned 27) since Gilmore could be gone. If someone offers a trade the Bills can't refuse, would also be good. -

Gilmore "You keep bringing up last week. It was a busted coverage. It wasn't my responsibility." A complicated D is Ryan's fault when it goes south. -
What People Said and Did to Belichick Prior to Year 2000 After a disappointing loss to Houston, Belichick had to be escorted by police to the post game news conference. Fans chanted "Bill must go!!" - the kindest of their comments that day. During the conference, "the embattled coach barely could be heard over all the booing outside." "Extra police were called in, and there was some pushing and shoving to keep fans behind crowd barriers." Belichick's response: "To quote Buddy Ryan, 'If you listen to the fans, you'll be sitting up there with them.' I've got to do what I think is right, and I've been doing that. I know this team is headed in the right direction." (Source: USA TODAY, 11/22/1993, Monday, Final Edition, Belichick Pelted by Bernie Boo-birds," by Tom Weir, SPORTS section; p. 3C) "Somebody told me they're not going to another game as long as Bill Belichick is head coach." He received threats and hate mail. Belichick has been accused of everything but the collapse of the bond market"..."poor rapport with players. Media unfriendly. Humorless."..."the great uncommunicator." http://www.character-education.info/resources/BelichickGetsCriticized.htm

Poll on wgr 550 11/4 will the Bills make the playoffs ? 88% vote no , so far

It takes 270 Electoral votes to Win. If neither candidate gets a majority of the 538 electoral votes, the election for President is decided in the House of Representatives, with each state delegation having one vote. A majority of states (26) is needed to win. Senators would elect the Vice-President, with each Senator having a vote. 538 Electoral votes , DC having 3 Winner take all except Nebraska 5 Maine 4 Supreme Court could tie a decision unlike 2000 Although it is possible for an Elector to cast his or her vote for someone other than for the popular vote winner in their state, this is quite rare in modern times. As a result, Electoral Votes for a state tend to be "all or nothing". Maine and Nebraska have taken a slightly different approach in recent years. These states allocate two Electoral Votes to the popular vote winner, and then one each to the popular vote winner in each Congressional district (2 in Maine, 3 in Nebraska) in their state. This creates multiple popular vote contests in these states, which could lead to a split Electoral Vote. http://www.270towin.com/content/electoral-college-ties/ remote possibility 269-269
