Why Is Our Government Putting People In Cages?
ALF replied to Trump_is_Mentally_fit's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Can you link that policy under Obama , just a quick look I found the following When the Obama administration attempted to respond to the “crisis” of families and unaccompanied children crossing the border in summer 2014, it put hundreds of families in immigration detention — a practice that had basically ended several years before. But federal courts stopped the administration from holding families for months without justifying the decision to keep them in detention. So most families ended up getting released while their cases were pending — which immigration hawks have derided as “catch and release.” In some cases, they disappeared into the US rather than showing up for their court dates. https://www.vox.com/2018/6/11/17443198/children-immigrant-families-separated-parents -

“I recognize that people should not break the law, but there’s a lot of desperate people that want to enter this country and we have to take a humane approach to those people.” - Anthony Scaramucci On Saturday he tweeted, "Separating innocent children from their families is not the Christian way, the American way, nor what @POTUS wants. Congress must act to stop this madness." http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2018/06/17/scaramucci-sees-family-separations-as-potential-pitfall-for-trump.html But have a Happy Fathers Day -
Donald J. Trump ✔ @realDonaldTrump Congratulations to Corey Stewart for his great victory for Senator from Virginia. Now he runs against a total stiff, Tim Kaine, who is weak on crime and borders, and wants to raise your taxes through the roof. Don’t underestimate Corey, a major chance of winning! 5:55 AM - Jun 13, 2018 http://thehill.com/homenews/campaign/392503-will-the-rnc-support-corey-stewart This week, in our Washington, D.C., backyard, Corey Stewart, defender of the Confederacy and a Donald Trump on steroids, won the Republican Senate nomination in Virginia. The neo-Nazi, white-supremacist commentary website the Daily Stormer had this to say on the day after Stewart’s victory: “We are in charge now. The jig is up. This is the party of TRUMP the SAVIOR OF KOREA and DESTROYER OF CANADA. We’re also not tearing down anymore statues.” https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/corey-stewart-is-a-walking-train-wreck/2018/06/15/64a759a8-6ffc-11e8-afd5-778aca903bbe_story.html?utm_term=.31b2ea79ff8d

This was a deliberate policy shift by the Trump administration. They have the power to unilaterally reverse it. It's legal, no question, but it's purely the administration's decision. 1. The President's immigration bill got all of 39 votes in the Senate (the bipartisan effort also fell short of the 60 votes needed to move forward, but received more support.) While it's designed, as Attorney General Jeff Sessions describes it, to have a deterrent effect, it's also a negotiating play to try and force Democrats to the table on immigration legislation the President favors. https://www.cnn.com/2018/06/15/politics/family-separation-democrats-trump/index.html This border policy is leverage to get $25B for the wall and eliminate chain migration , visa lottery ... I would be ok with this and DACA resolution the sooner the better . If Democrats have the WH and Congress some day they can change it if they want. If Democrats just use this family separation for a Nov campaign issue I will be very disappointed in them. Elections have consequences since we don't have bipartisan cooperation. Asylum in the United States Total annual asylum grants averaged 23,669 between FY 2007 and FY 2016. https://www.americanimmigrationcouncil.org/research/asylum-united-states -
Acting state AG Barbara Underwood will be ‘very happy' to hold job until end of the year But Underwood, 73, said she is not interested in seeking to run for a full four-year term in November. "I don't see a chance of that," she said. http://www.nydailynews.com/news/politics/exclusive-underwood-seeks-hold-ag-job-year-article-1.3982511

Offensive Line - Any Chance it Holds Up?
ALF replied to BuffaloBaumer's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I might be wrong , I thought I heard that from the recent Murph show. They want the least disruption as possible from last year . -
Sad day. Tim Graham out at Buffalo News

What a shock for such a major turn over. The printed media is getting outdated by online . It's like what outsourcing did to manufacturing jobs. -

Why don't qb's wear a mirrored visor like McMahon used to?
ALF replied to Da webster guy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The NFL rulebook states that "tinted eye shields may be worn only after the League office is supplied with appropriate medical documentation and approval is subsequently granted. The League office has final approval.” https://www.nbcsports.com/bayarea/49ers/kaepernick-awaits-nfl-approval-wear-tinted-visor That would be a big advantage for a QB -
Prediction: Nathan Peterman Bills Starting QB Wk. 1 vs. Ravens
ALF replied to BurpleBull's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It's a competition between AJ and Peterman who will be the backup for Allen when he is ready. -
Consciously optimistic , a good first step that I was not expecting , I wish Trump success .

This sounds like a good description of Trump ‘a bull who carries his own china shop around with him.' in regard to Eisenhower’s Secretary of State John Foster Dulles, not American diplomacy. https://richardlangworth.com/bull-in-a-china-shop

How do you feel about the Buffalo Bills right now?
ALF replied to Victory Formation's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Really look forward to TC and preseason. I don't expect a lot from the offense this season except steady progress and ID needs for 2019 FAs. -
[edited] Brandon Reilly - Speedy WR with a Roster Shot?
ALF replied to MarlinTheMagician's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Trusting the process may finally lead Brandon Reilly to ultimate goal SAL CAPACCIO The Bills WR was working with the starting offense last week If there’s one person who personifies what Bills head coach Sean McDermott means when he talks about “the process,” it could very well be wide receiver Brandon Reilly. In fact, if things go as planned this year for the second-year wideout, the team might want to - literally - use him as the poster child for a “trust the process” marketing campaign. http://www.wgr550.com/articles/news/trusting-process-may-finally-lead-brandon-reilly-ultimate-goal -

Trump criticizes Justin Trudeau, says US won't endorse G7 communique President Donald Trump on Saturday accused Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau of making "false statements" and said that the US will not endorse a G7 communique. In a second tweet, President Trump said, "PM Justin Trudeau of Canada acted so meek and mild during our @G7 meetings only to give a news conference after I left saying that, 'US Tariffs were kind of insulting' and he 'will not be pushed around.' Very dishonest & weak. Our Tariffs are in response to his of 270% on dairy!" https://www.cnn.com/2018/06/09/politics/trump-justin-trudeau-g7-communique/index.html

18 for '18: College football's fastest players 1. Kendall Sheffield, CB, Ohio State The Buckeyes' two-sport star is next in line among the parade of NFL draft prospects from the Ohio State DB room. But on the track, he's fearsome as well. Sheffield broke OSU's 60-meter dash indoor record earlier this year with a time of 6.663 seconds. That's the fastest 60 time of any player listed here. http://www.nfl.com/photoessays/0ap3000000936388
