  1. You don't win in the postseason running the ball. When was the last time a super bowl mvp was the RB? It's a QB driven league now. Patriots are proving that with a senior citizen at RB that they grabbed from the scrap pile. Nobody pays a RB big bucks and then wins anymore. You either have a QB or you don't have a chance these days
  2. That's all Stephen Jackson is good for these days. Shows how important running is in the NFL
  3. I wouldn't be in such a hurry to want the new stadium. It's going to be downtown and tailgating will be a shell of what it is now. Also higher ticket prices and more traffic. I think we need to enjoy the Ralph while we can
  4. Barely. We would best them 9 times out of 10 when healthy
  5. I think first pick will be best available out of NT, DE, MLB
  6. I'm certainly not complaining. I think both will be excellent corners for many years assuming we can lock Gilmore up long term. I just don't think we will be seeing either in the pro bowl let alone all pro or anything like that. I'm very happy with their play but I wouldn't say either is elite. They are just very very good and they are in a position to make a play more often than not (Gilmore with his physicality and Darby with his speed)
  7. Darby was on a hot streak at the beginning of the year (mostly out of fear of getting torched like he did all preseason) but his play quickly cooled off. I think he played really well for a rookie but he is highly overrated. He's no Gilmore, and Gilmore is not elite no matter what he thinks. Both are very solid corners but they are not in the elite all pro category
  8. Except that KC and GB are the worst teams left in the playoffs. We are better than both
  9. Maroon should go back to college. If he's supposedly such a hot commodity in the NFL then it should be easy to get a job in the SEC. Let's see how that scrub does in a good conference. My guess is he's fired or quits within 3 yrs
  10. Looks like Marrone is once again going to be the odd man out. 2 yrs of interviewing and no jobs. Why is he considered such a hot coaching candidate then? Just hype by Adam Schefter?
  11. Boom instant leadership. He will hold the players accountable. It was him and Ray holding things down in Baltimore for all of those years. Now if we can actually get some players at LB and safety then we are going to be legit
  12. Wait I just had an awesome idea. Have Tyrod as the starter, Tebow as the short yardage or goal line QB, then EJ as the hard count QB SUPERBOWL!!!
  13. I was a Tebow supporter but that was like 3 years ago. He's a college football analyst now. Let's let him move on with his life
  14. Oops! Freudian slip. You mention the name Doug and I get all worked up. Sorry Mr. Whaley!
  15. He majored in broken dreams with a minor in betrayal. But it wasn't until he began coaching that he learned to punt from the 30 yard line so he's always evolving
  16. He will hold these guys accountable. Sounds good to me! Can we get Ray Lewis at LB coach?
  17. LA fans are very indifferent to football. Too many other things going on in that city for them to care. They get their football fix from USC or UCLA. Plus a lot of the population are transplants that already have a favorite NFL team. The only reason they are getting 2 teams is because they can share a new stadium and the population supports having 2 teams. However I forsee a lot of empty seats in that brand new shiny stadium
  18. When they hired the Rex Ryan circus they basically were saying let's take the only thing good about this team (defense and it's coaches) and blow it up. Well they blew it up and now we suck. Nice work
  19. He trying to say he tried to run a hybrid of a 4-3 and 3-4 and that's why the defense was bad so now he's just sticking with a 3-4 even though we don't have the personnel for it.
  20. I think Alabama's defense is better than ours. I know for a fact their LB's and safeties are better
