  1. apparently 2 of the top 5 best tackles available going into the 2014 draft for the price of a cup of coffee. Robinson was supposed to be a sure thing
  2. is there any kind of analytical way to evaluate college QB's? or is it too difficult because the competition is so different from school to school? it's really amazing how teams like the Bills, Browns, Jets can be so wrong about so many QB's year after year
  3. I don't think it happens either but I also don't think in a fair competition that it is such a sure thing. I think Yates will move the ball consistently. Tyrod will make plays with his legs but between the tackles can he stand in the pocket and deliver the ball 45 times a game? West coast offense is timing based. 1, 2, 3, throw. Not 1, 2, 3, pump, run around, point, throw. Let's see how the preseason goes
  4. And because so far he is not looking too good. Yates is going to outplay him but when does this staff pull the trigger? If it's a competition at all positions I'm not totally convinced Tyrod can win it
  5. hopefully for team USA's sake the other team doesn't wear the Patriots
  6. he's on our team for at least the next 2 years. too big of a cap hit. in retrospect he didn't deserve that contract but he's a good player coming off a good year and we were a team without many of those
  7. and if he's not healthy then what? bad knees, bad back, and that's before even putting the pads on and the normal wear and tear of the season. TE is an important part of this offense. not to mention the 2 TE sets. i think they need another option
  8. i think they will need to bring someone in. we can't count on Clay being healthy
  9. that is a pretty good guess. rookie WR's don't usually put up big numbers so i would probably assume about the same. maybe 800-900 if he has a big year
  10. i remember him (because of the name) but i dont remember him playing for us. sad how so many people seem to be dying young these days
  11. Zay Jones is one of my favorite players on the team now. he might be my favorite if he produces on the field the way I think he could
  12. i could see that if we weren't so incredibly thin at TE. maybe if we signed a veteran like Barnidge
  13. Yep was about to post this myself. For short yardage, fine. But if McCoy misses any time we are in big trouble
  14. I've sat first row and couldn't see anything. I've sat last row upper deck and saw everything but couldn't tell who was who. I've sat in a suite and felt really disconnected. I've sat in snow storms and envied the people in the suites. No seat is the best, just enjoy the experience wherever you are!
  15. Moment of silence please
  16. How does one become a forum moderator? My friend is interested in pursuing a career in the internet administration arts
  17. Is Miller and Dawkins that much better? I hope so but right now we don't know. We might need Dawkins at LT if Cordy goes down
  18. well Maclin signed a 2 year 11 million deal. rumors were we were offering 1 year at 4.5 million. so we were in the ballpark but it was the extra year that got it done presumably. he wanted more guaranteed money from us was what I heard but the team was probably reluctant because he has been injury prone and they are fresh off the failed Percy Harvin experiment. probably tired of paying injured WR's
  19. i think the Bills want to see what they have in Zay Jones and Andre Holmes. they could have had Maclin if they really wanted him
  20. he got a "bug" getting tipsy popping bottles spending his 60k
  21. Schmidt is an easy one. Cardale Jones and Jordan Mills probably wouldn't surprise a lot of people. Preston Brown might be a cut that surprises people .:edit:. dangit you guys beat me to it! now i have to pick another one. how about Brandon Tate?
  22. i wish these guys were worth something but i doubt it. teams will just wait for them to get cut
  23. they said Holmes has been the standout player so far. sounds like they are ready to roll into the season with what they have. TE might be the bigger hole Ragland will be the starter at MLB. Preston Brown is a bum who is slow to the ball. Both will play but Ragland will get the majority of the snaps
  24. I don't think we go after Decker at all. i think they want another TE and possibly a RT if Dawkins doesn't look good. safety is another position where at minimum there's not a lot of depth. probably saving the money to see who gets cut from camps.
  25. It means we didn't win the offseason
