Jets trade DT Steve McClendon to TB
machine gun kelly replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Bill, my friend, I agree this obviouS tanking just stinks for the league and that team. You had mentioned another team, and the only example I can think of which is nowhere close to this debacle is my other team, 2nd of course to the Bills, is the Bucs, when they threw the last half of the last game to get the #1 spot for Winston over Marriotta that year. It was obvious was pulling everyone in the second half of that last game for Winston. Look how good that worked out for Tampa and TN. Tanking cheapens the team so wasn’t arguing there at all. I just have buddies who are Jets fans, transplants from NY/NJ as they are the NJ Jets as well as the NJ Giants, and I just can’t bust their chops. They are good guys, my Giants friends too, and at least the Giants are trying to win. I would be beside myself if I had a team that sucked since 1969. Maybe a reprieve when Parcells was briefly there at the Jets. All I can say is say a prayer for our beloved Bills today, and could be a fun two weeks with the Jets, and Pats, and can’t believe ESPN’s mock projection of the Bills at 7-1 at the half mark would be amazing. I’m not assuming after the Chiefs if we win, will definitely beat the Pats, but it’s looking better. We have some tough games after the Chiefs and Pats, like the Hawks. -
I don’t get wrapped around the axle over these questions (not directed at you Hap), just blow it off. Could she have been a little more tactful, yes, but she knows asking in this manner gets her a little more publicity or clicks. Generally, I’ve thought she does a decent job on NFLN, and probably was looking for a sound bite. Those that said, show it on the field today are right. Let the team’s actions do all the talking. This morning, people are giving a lot of love to the Bucs, Steelers, and Titans. The Bills win convincingly today, and they will be the highlight tomorrow. 🤞

Jets trade DT Steve McClendon to TB
machine gun kelly replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
War, that’s the logical choice for me. If Darnold was behind Brady, Or Big Ben, he would sit for at least a year, but he has a chance behind Brees, or Rivers next year. I can see both retiring after this year. -

Bill, what do you want from the Jests? Seriously, I almost feel bad for the classy Jets fans, not the trolls. I have some friends originally from NY and I don’t even have the heart to kid even a little as they are so dejected now. As far as Darnold, I can see a team giving a second or maybe a third for him. No one is giving up a 1st. He just needs to get the heck out of there. There will be some coach who thinks they can rehabilitate him. I still contend one of the teams with an aging QB would consider him. Reich is now a HC, but was a great QB coach a few years ago. -
Lorax discusses Tremaine Edmunds
machine gun kelly replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This is what I can see as a solution for this year. Lorax would be a great defensive leader, and can mentor Edmunds on the field, he’s still it looks to be in great shape, said he could be open to the idea. I know originally it was if We were in playoff contention which at 4-1 is something around an 87% chance of making the playoffs, and I’m sure he wouldn’t mind another payday. To me Lorax looked just as good last year as he did two years earlier. He can be on a pitch count, etc. There really isn’t anyone better on the street unless you want to resurrect Clay Matthews, but he didn’t look the same towards the end. -
Gameday around the NFL 10/18
machine gun kelly replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Just looking for good games. The Bears/Panthers they moved to now, so kind of fun. I root for the Browns only because they’ve had as much misery as us over the decades, not that I dislike the Steelers. Well, I live in Tampa, so you know. I know it’s personal for you guys with Brady. I just feel for all of my friends down here who have suffered too. At the end of the day, of the Bills win, I honestly don’t care about anything else. I want the Bucs to win, and those skill players are fun, but it’s hard to root against our Icebowl buddy who is a friend on this board. -
Dawson Knox and the TE position
machine gun kelly replied to McBean's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Points well taken Hapless. If McD believes in him, I can try just getting a little frustrated and seeing some of these other rookie TE’s, doesnt help. -
Gameday around the NFL 10/18
machine gun kelly replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Down here we are getting the Steelers at 1pm, and Tampa of course at 4 pm. Should both be good games, but yesterday, the MTC guys were stating the game of the week is, you guessed it, the Bills/Chiefs. -
E.J. Manuel article
machine gun kelly replied to \GoBillsInDallas/'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Agreed. He was a nice kid, and yes they rushed him back, but he was given so many chances, and couldn’t even hold onto a backup job. I lost track of him after the Raiders cut him. I wish him well whatever he is doing now. -
Lorax discusses Tremaine Edmunds
machine gun kelly replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I listened to Sal Friday morning on the Lorax dialogue he had with him on Edmunds. Sal said we are built more for a 4-3 given our players, but hypothetically Sal thought Edmunds is best suited for a MLB in the traditional 3-4. The 3-4 doesn’t fit into what McDermott likes to do in his scheme. I’m sure he can do it if he wanted to do so. We would definitely need Star for that to happen, and McD learned under Jimmy Johnson In Philly who loved the 3-4. I think people are piling a little on Edmunds. He’s made some mistakes, but he also is trying to play hurt. -
This is like, “Would you like this rotten tomato, or this brown disgusting apple core.” They both suck. You have to hope the rookie will be ok, or I don’t know if Davis Webb is worth it. Barkley had one good game against the Jests, but then again it was the Jests.

Dawson Knox and the TE position
machine gun kelly replied to McBean's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Gugs, agreed. I had high hopes for him as well, but if you’re always more concerned with the homerun that you look up field too fast and drop the ball, you’re no good for the team. Kroft May have not little world on fire, but he catches most so far, and then worries about what he’ll do after he secures the ball. After watching th eMiami rookie TE, and some other rookies, I just don’t know if Knox will progress. I was fine with being patient with him last year, but he’s making the same mistakes as last year. -
Is Josh changing how college QBs are scouted?
machine gun kelly replied to Mr. WEO's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Wilson example are spot on, and it was noted later Carroll liked his hands were almost 10 inches so grip wouldn’t be a big deal. He is one of my favorite QB’s as he gives the illusion of running, but ends up throwing accurately at the last moment. -
Bojorquez top 5 in Yds/punt

Not a big fan. I don’t if you guys noticed, the Titans punter was pinning it so close to the end zone, directional, etc. -
THE ROCKPILE REVIEW - Midseason Meltdown

Thanks Rock. Look forward to those Shaw reviews each week. You said it well. Leave it at that. Onto the Chiefs. -
Are we still a 9-7 team?
machine gun kelly replied to DrDawkinstein's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
SSSF: Im with you and sticking to my guns. 11-5. God athletes are used to a bad loss and then turn it around. We had wounded warriors. Some have agendas on this board trying to pile on. How about we act like ex athletes, and move on, play next week, and not think the sky is falling just like we are not god before last night. Seattle looks great on offense, but horrible on defense. I can keep going on other top teams that have flaws, but this is freaking out mode. Many are not in that mindset, and there are s9me who are encouraging it, on purpose or they have never played sports at a high level so they don’t know. We had a bad game. The sky is not falling. -
😘. Thought you needed it Virg. Well written as always. It was a tough day, and for the first time this year, I didn’t understand a lot of the offensive play calling. I know not having Brown was tough as he is such a nice deep threat, it would have helped, amd people are underestimating the loss of Milano and Tre. Tre and Milano would have covered up at least a 1/3 of the conversions they made, and Norman is not meant to be the #1 CB. If he was opposite Tre, he probably would have covered his zone much better. If a full compliment, I think they would have converted over more to just power running with Henry. It was nit a fun loss as we just weren’t really in the game, but as Annie loves to sing, “The Sun will come out tomorrow (well in this case today)”. For me it was like when I was playing football, and had an old fashioned coach always used to use the old man phrase, “throw some dirt on it ....., and get back out there”. I can’t get too high, nor too low after games. Stew on it for a few, then move on. We could come out and have a solid game against the Chiefs.

Gameday Thread Week 4.5 Bills @ Titans 2nd Half
machine gun kelly replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yes! No Brown, Milano, and Tre, and so many people are acting like 5e sky is falling. I’m just glad non of these guys weren’t on my sports team when I was playing. It’s only an 11 pt. Deficit from an undefeated team, and yes Augie, the team that beat the Pats and the Ravens in the playoffs last year. Its why I predicted before I knew for sure Tre was out as my hopes were still high we would win 28-24. We just stopped them in the 3rd and we are moving the chains. Take a breath guys. -

What? I guess you didn’t know we are the #1 comeback team in the NFL in the last two years. Game over? Really? -
Gameday Thread Week 4.5 Bills @ Titans 1st Half

I saw Gabe Davis open shy of Diggs about 1.5 yards before the first, but didn’t look like anyone was around as they almost tripled Diggs. -

Love McKenzie and the gadget touchdowns. He’s fun to watch. Was happy Roberts redeemed himself after the pic as that wasn’t Allen’s fault. Nice catch towards the sidelines. -
Gameday Thread PreGame Bills @ Titans

DM, no worries. Moving on bud. I know I ask at times things that are public, but didn’t see. Anyway, Go Bills, and let’s kill the Music City Debacle. I still hate them for that one. Not just because, it ended our playoffs, but I had a National Sales Meeting the next day in Nashville. I had to deal with those twerps for a week. Wore my Bills visor every morning at the hotel gym.
