Interesting takes. Honestly, I don’t know enough about the talent to do this like many of you. Now that FA is pretty far down at this point is the time I start really researching potential draft options. For those of you who have Sirius, it’s fun at this time as NFLR does their mock draft on Fridays on MTC. The first week is only the first round and no trades. Pat picked up our slot and he chose the Edge Rusher from FL. In successive Fridays they start allowing trades, and eventually get to two rounds. It’s on demand right now if anyone wants to listen. I enjoy it so have fun.

The nicest thing Allen could do is allow his agent to do a long term deal like Mahomes. Almost all QB’s want a contract no longer than five years, but preferred four years. The simple reason is they know the market will go up, the cap will go up, and they will make even more $ in the next contract. The team takes some risk regarding injury, but given how well QB’s are protected, Allen’s nicest gift is a longer contract. He’s not taking a paycut. Would you? I’m in sales and management so I give myself a raise by selling more stuff. His play is his bonus as correlative. People ask this question or make these statements all the time on sports radio shows, and the answer regardless of the hosts is a big fat no.

Ryan Leaf subbing in for Rich Eisen
machine gun kelly replied to Ethan in Cleveland's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He subbed in once that I can remember on NFLR. He was actually somewhat interesting. I’m glad he’s turned his life around. It would be very difficult to have to live down that mess from years ago. -
He really saved this city. Happy BDay Terry.

But can you do Derrick Henry push ups?
machine gun kelly replied to Draconator's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
About 20 years ago, no problem. Now, not so much, but good motivation. Thanks. -
This one is easy. I’m at Oswego as an underclass man and a Frannies alumni in 88. I go with 8 frat brothers to the Bills/Jets game where big ol Smerlas bats the kick down to win the East since the early 80’s with Knox. We also go with 6 of my high school buddies including two cousins. The night before we’re out with all of us and 30 Gamma guys from an opposing fraternity at PJ bottoms. The 40+ are having fun enjoying way too many adult beverages. we get in from the movie Roadhouse brawl with entire UB Rugby team and it was insane. All of us survived of course went to Slime on the Line if you guys remember those diners serving slime dogs to us at 4:30 am telling war stories. We sleep for an hour maybe and meet both groups of guys at one of the off lots and drink for many hours before the game. The game ends and all 40+ are in the tunnel endzone. Everyone rushes the field and one of my idiot brothers loses his shoe on the field. like a young drunk idiot make It on the goalpost third for all of 7-8 seconds before I became a Ladder for everyone else and get my jaw slammed against the goal post flying into the crowd. It was one of my most favorite moments and scariest as the crowd was trampling each other to knock the post down. we sat there drunk and stupid watching others knock the posts down and then throwing them iver the stadium wall. To be young and dumb again. It was a great memory of which I would never repeat again. Those days were fun and like many of you, I wonder how did I not get in trouble for such stupid decisions. Thank god I say an our father every morning for surviving the stupidity of youth, and pray my sons don’t make decisions like that one.

If you had Zay Jones, kelvin Benjamen, Robert Foster, you’d look terrible too like our boy. the jests are a trash heap like we were prior to Mc beane. My prior comments on Darnold in Pitt, ATL, and TB is the best way for him to maybe rehab his career. At least a serviceable backup. I don’t know if he ever makes it back to a starter, but it’s probably his only shot. Gentlemen and ladies, enjoy you’re Saturday.

Yep. They are going to give Tua time. He may not have looked impressive, but that was only a little more than half a year. Flores didn’t help the situation benching him more than once. McD at least stuck with Allen. We didn’t have the talent, but don’t forget how erratic Allen was his rookie year. I’m not ready to say Tua is a bust. Not at least until after 17 games this year. My guess is simply the Fins are trying to surround Tua with talent. If he fails in 2021, I can see them taking a QB next year. So many people want to call a player like Tua a bust, or that he is great. It’s just too early to tell. The fins will have more talent this year so maybe the team gets better if they hit on multiple players in the draft. They also have around $12 mil. in space so they might pick up another role player or two.

Bills prospect LB Chazz Surratt
machine gun kelly replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This is not an indictment of Edmunds. They probably just want depth or at least look into him. -
Dingus, I hope you’re right. Alex Smith is possible and Darnold’s sake I really hope so. He really needs to be a backup to an older QB who he can work his way back into a starting role. Winston took a basement $1 mil deal to get a chance after Brees retires to compete for the starting role. My guess is he’ll get that chance this year. Hill is a gadget guy who will never get the starting role. I know he received that extension, but that was just to get under the cap. If I’m Darnold’s agent, I’d lobby Pitt., Tampa, or Atlanta for a backup job and take the vet minimum. It’s telling no one has made a deal for him. Sarah’s going to want his own guy.

Bingo. This topic comes up every off season. Before 2020, the pundits said we had the 5th hardest schedule facing the AFCW, and NFCW, + Pitt, and TN. Now we have an easy schedule per whoever, and there is no way to project these points. How does anyone know if NO will be good with Winston most likely post eye surgery. He may have thrown 30 picks a couple of years ago, but also threw 30 TD’s. I have no idea nor does Mike Clay if he improved taking the back up spot to Brees under Payton. That’s just one example, the Pats, I don’t know. What about the draft. Miami could be vastly improved or not. I wouldn’t read much into SOS projections. They are wrong more than right. If you’re bored, ok, but we still face KC, Pitt., TN, Tampa, etc. I just don’t know. How many teams improve vastly in one year and comes out of nowhere, ie., Tampa was 7-9 and the next year wins the SB. Who knows if the losses to KC on their line pile up, or they replace and improve?

Ryan Bates has eye on starting role [paywall]
machine gun kelly replied to Logic's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It’s funny you post Transplant as Sal on the morning show has brought him up a bunch of times lately when they discuss the O Line, and said the Bills coaches are high on him. I’m not sure if he will be the swing tackle or backup center, but sounds like he’ll be around. -
Beasely hasn’t slowed down IMO, and Sanders was hired for his excellent route running at a discount, vs. Brown. He’ll find a way to get open. John, don’t bring up TE’s even though the pass catching ones are just big WR’s. The Lee Smith’s of the world are going like the dodo. Kelce is the model for what every team in the league is trying to achieve.

Jaran Reed replacement for Star?
machine gun kelly replied to BeastMode54's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
OP, if you’re saying add to the DT group to be the other 50% for Star ok, but not a replacement. His contract makes that impossible and why? If you want this guy to eventually be a replacement as Star is getting older, ok. -
You know you can just personal message SDS. He could’ve told you. The mods are pretty good at responding. BTW, Howard and Jeremy have commented on TBD multiple times, so those guys do check out from time to time these threads. A few weeks ago, I noticed their morning poll questions, discussion topics were mirroring a day or two after threads came out. Good luck with you’re interview. I don’t know many people care as to their status. I enjoy the conversations for the most part, but don’t look to how many posts people are recorded. I do pay attention occasionally to the poster as I have a great deal of respect for some of the guys.

Sammy Watkins to Ravens

Well, he has a job so good for him. I’m a little surprised on the financials, but I guess Harbaugh is having a hard time luring WR’s there. -

Eagles trade pick 6 to Dolphins
machine gun kelly replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The fear factor on this board is sometimes silly. We have an excellent team, good players coming back, Star coming back, and guys right now at least are healthy. Sometimes I feel like it’s my responsibility to share this... Until the other teams get a Josh Allen, we’re fine. We also are smart not giving away draft picks, tons of cap space to the future, and resigning the guys at excellent contracts, we’re going to own the AFCE. I never could think or say that when Brady was here. Tua, Jimmy G., a rookie at the Jests. Not even remotely worried. It’s nice to love a team like the Hawks where Wilson hides a ton of problems. -
Hap, ever try and catch a kitten? Just kidding. Thanks for the clarification. Otherwise I think he meant we picked up this guy.

Free Agency next year is going to be crazy
machine gun kelly replied to Rubes's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Trout, I’ve read the same the projection was going to be around $203, but the next year it will catch up like there was no pandemic to $225 mil. The OP is right, there will be upwards of 250 one year deals this year. A ton of people will be out there next year and we might have a little more to spend next year.
