  1. Sounds great Mango, which floor am I placing my sleeping bag?😂🏈. Don’t worry I’ll rarely be there as I’ll be too busy contributing to the smell of urine peeing all over the quarter, and vomiting up the 20 daquiries I’ll be drinking per day. As you know I’m kidding. To the OP’s question, I went to one NO game, but not a Bills one. We were there for a conference and stayed extra for the weekend. It was fun, nice hotels, but stay at least a few block from the quarter as it does stink. One thing I loved about NO, outside of the nightlife and awesome restaurants, is daddada, the coffee. They have the best coffee outside of maybe the Kona stuff when in Maui. It really is a fun city, but old and now a little better as they’ve been working on 5e restoration for 16 years since Katrina. Youll have a great time Virg., and can be a fun destination if you’re not tied to the big family thanksgiving dinner thing.
  2. I love the schedule. Logic, if you add Tampa will be a National game even if at 4 pm, and the flex with Carolina could end up as a Saturday 4pm, or Saturday night, or Sunday at 4pm which means mostly National coverage, I think we’re fine. BTW- I did read you’re preferring afternoon games so no big deal, and as you know we’re still a small market team with a fan base that is growing. Cities like NO, Dallas, and Pittsburgh as well as others have National followings. Even GB has a National fan base as small of a market as they are, but we are just growing our base after the 17 years of crap. We did back in the early 90’s grow our National fan base. I remember I moved from Buffalo to Tampa five days before the first SB against the Giants. I noticed over the next five years we were getting fans adopting the Bills as their team that were never from anywhere near WNY. Unfortunately, that dwindled after the Titans debacle. It’s going to take time for fans to become diehard Bills fans, but again I’m a glass half full guy as I said in another thread and truly believe we’re going to grow these Bills fans over the next several years.
  3. Honestly, Seasons, I didn’t know either so I’m with you Virg. Not sure yet. It’s possible. If I do, it won’t be with the kids this time. Before last year, we always went to 1 of the 2 September Sunday games with a bunch of family. Just curious, which lot do you guys meet up before the game, Hammers? We normally park in the lot next to Hammers and walk over. Only because the earliest I can get the family out of bed and at the lot is 9:15am or so and Hammers is always full by then. If I fly up alone, I’ll be there at 7am, and no, I’m not drinking out if you’re navel Seasons. I’ll give that illustrious honor to Gugs.
  4. We’re DOOMED, DOOMED I SAY. I was waiting fir someone to come out and say how screwed we are, the NFL has something against us,etc, etc. We also have a Sunday night game against the Chiefs, then 8 days fir a MNF game against the Titans, and then a bye. We also have a TR night game and then 11 days for a MNF against the Cheats. Now prior to the Thanksgiving game which is awesome at least the Colts is at 1 pm the week before. We don’t know after whether the Panthers game which should be a pushover is on Saturday or Sunday probably at 4 pm. I personally am on record I love 1pm games on Sunday, but I know you guys love primetime games. So for you’re sake, I’m happy for you. I was a little bummed we didn’t get more 4pm games beyond Tampa, but maybe the Panthers will be a later game Saturday or Sunday at 4pm. I love Saturday games late as you can sit back on Sunday and just enjoy what’s on. Maybe I’m a glass half full guy, but I see a great schedule for us this year. We are the anchor team for each nationally televised game except maybe the Chiefs. Ok, we’re all going to do this from now until September so my very conservative projection is 12-5, most likely 13-4, and aggressive 14-3. I do think there is an outside shot at 15-2.
  5. I miss the old days too. For us it was me making breakfast for the little kids (now two of three in college) family catholic mass, my ex making her homemade sauce for macaroni and gravy for Sunday dinner, football all day, family dinner and the boys climbing into bed at 7 pm for prime time with boomer and Jackson. those were great days. ESPN is a mess these days. I can’t even watch anymore. I won’t even watch the pre game on MNF anymore. I’d rather listen to NFL radio or NFLN.
  6. WE WANT SOMETHING ELSE! I couldn’t let you have all the fun House. How’s you’re leg. Hawkeye can fix it.
  7. Mafia, as long as you bubble wrap yourself from the bed bugs, and other critters. You’d be better served going a little farther on the Uber and nicer, and not worry about the driving. Any of those places really close are dives.
  8. I seriously doubt Tebow even makes the team. At best, he was brought in as a high character guy, Meyer can trust and maybe makes the PS. At worst, it’s a PR stunt as Tebow is revered as a God down in Jax.
  9. 716, nice post and agree. I’m not saying a complete parallel, but this defense at times reminds me of the same path as Dungy had with the Bucs. So much of the comments about hats to the ball, staying in you’re lane, etc was exactly what I used to hear done here in Tampa. Dungy built a great defense down here with Monte Kiffin.
  10. Putin, I believe that committee can place him on the exempt list for an entire year. I’m not sure so wait and one of the guys with too much time on his hands can look it up somewhere. I’m trying to remember the last guy that went on that list. It was for a long time if memory serves. My reasoning why it could be a year is I don’t see these suits and investigation getting resolved anytime soon. Now that there are signs the Texans are giving hints they are distancing themselves from Watson. I was listening to the comments from Kirwan yesterday on MTC as he was mentioning how silly the Texans comments were how high they were on their third round QB pick. His point was this young inexperienced QB from not a big time program who’s not even been on a practice field yet is a stretch. He said something like “let’s see him just get on the field” as they don’t really know what they have with the draft pick.
  11. Doc- the disciplinary committee not Rog as he doesn’t govern that unilaterally anymore will most assuredly suspend him regardless of a civil suit. I was trying to have an open mind, but it seems most likely he did something. hes going on the exemption list where he can’t play for a long time no matter.
  12. But it’s a dry heat.
  13. Protocol, I’m laughing as I used to manage NOLA. I was teasing him buddy.
  14. Greg as Sam Kinneson said, it’s a dry heat. His response was so is an oven! put you’re head in there and that’s Vegas in the summer.
  15. Dang, now I have to go to Applebee’s.
  16. Buff03, have you heard of the third ring if he’ll. Tampa is hotter in early September. We live in A/C unless you grew up here as they don’t know any better. Then again, a Tampan (yes it’s a real word) coming to Buffalo in March for a 35 degree day plus wind will kill them. It’s all relative. Besides, I heard Don had some high level meetings and he has the scoop. 🤪🏈😂😷🙏 Or Schoop at all like ever.
  17. Yeah John I know. I was actually proud of Beane for sticking to a board vs. reaching on needs. he really stuck to the future as well as now, and btw like the stones reference.
  18. I know his claims and they haven’t used their first round picks for the last 10 years on offensive weapons except Love, but he was very boisterous yet cryptic on the pick of love vs. a WR.
  19. Thanks Yolo. I’ll watch and listen tonight. I’m really happy with our draft. It’s boring as a modicum taking five linemen of eight picks, but I thought it was cool. There wasn’t really many 1 tech DT’s or TE’s to add. Breida may pleasantly surprise.
  20. Yeah Kwai, I thought you told me once Sarasota or Bradenton and that is better. Tampa is unique. It’s great 8 months a year so certainly not complaining. It just sucks for a few months. Then it’s heavenly here. I know since we play south teams this year AFC and NFC, you guys will love these game mid or later in the year, except the dome teams like Indy. Playing Jax, Miami, Tampa, and so on will be great as I’ve managed these areas for a long time. I hope for my Buffalo brethren who like to go to travel games you get more Jets, Pats, Pitt., early and more South teams if possible late. All of you will enjoy you’re trips more. It doesn’t matter as no one is asking my opinion nor should they regarding the schedule. I just love when the Buffalo Mafia shows up here in Tampa every 8 years. It’s so much fun as you guys invade Tampa like the pirates invasion of Gasparilla (Tampa reference if you don’t know what I mean).
  21. Or we can dust off Jasper. 🤪🏈
  22. I’m very gruntled (happy, humorous) that Rodgers is disgruntled. I had to look it up as I honestly have never used the term gruntled, nor even heard someone use it in a sentence. I might today just to mess with people in a lighthearted way of course. That guy is such a diva. He p....s and moans about everything. Why he even was upset about the Love pick was silly. He was never real competition for him. Love is a long term grooming project for a couple of years from now.
  23. Yes, in hindsight it would be fun to have him, but at the time if the draft, Metcalf was considered a raw talent. He could’ve flamed out as much as he ended up doing well. I don’t think we know yet what we have in Ford. Ford was bounced around in 2019, and ######ed his development. If we drafted him for a tackle position, that was a mistake. He’s a Guard. After 2021, given he stays healthy and is asked simply to be the left guard, we’ll see if he can be the best at that spot. If so, we have a young Guard for awhile. If not, he was a bust and we move on or relegate him as a permanent backup role. In the end, we have Diggs, and Davis for a long time, Beasely for a couple of years, and Sanders is a nice pieces to plug a hole for this year. As far as his tryout, I’m happy he tried, and even if he didn’t go far, at least he pursued a dream. There’s nothing wrong with that one. Remember when Carl Lewis wanted to see if he could play in the NFL. The Cowboys drafted him in the 12th round, but never played.
  24. You beat me to it. When I read someone saying the strongest QB arm ever, he evidently didn’t ever read the stories by Favre’s WR’s with broken fingers. Someone tell Davis to cowboy up. I’m sure this must have been taken out of context and was actually pumping up the Allen arm experience.
