Anyone been to a game in New Orleans?
machine gun kelly replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall
SMELLS LIKE VICTORY! I hope Jameson has his eyes checked before this game as he’s going to see ghosts. Casper (Tre), a new Ghostbusters (Milano). -
Logic, can you ask Buggs to send me a PM before he completes so I can get my family out of FL. To the OP, I might be there as have tons of friends there and a fun trip for me. 4 hours from Tampa. The playoff game in 17 was awesome. By that time the Jags will suck, maybe better in a couple of years so should be a sea of red, white, and royal blue. I’d expect 30,000 Bills fans there. I typically stay with friends, but a couple of the hotels in walking distance are fun, with a little nightlife. I always stayed at the Crown Plaza for work and has a Ruth’s Chris downstairs.

me neither. That’s like drinking non alcoholic beer or de caffeinated coffee. What’s the point? Gordio has the trick. Train the kid, get his gps ready, sniffing salts for dad gordio to wake up followed up with a 5 hr. And tell the wifey, he had a bad milk.

Sick of playing Brady after a short week!!

You’re a warped and Ridge. The sad thing is I remember that stupid cartoon or whatever they call that thing with the moving toys like the Santa Calus stuff when we were kids. -
No worries Season, I’ll dip my big toe into you’re beer mug. I’ll make sure not to cut for a few weeks. Uggh. That even grosses me out.

I always want to see Fitz do well unless it’s against us. WFT has a nice defense and they added some offense. I don’t like rooting for a team that destroyed us in SB26, but Rivera seems like a great guy, groomed our guys, and would love it anytime they can beat Philly and Dallas twice. I’m ambivalent on the Giants as they humiliated the Pats twice in SB’s. I love them for doing it.
-
I’m waiting fir the beat down so have fun with it as I expect 100 hate replies. I grew up in Buffalo (Hamburg) on South Park Ave. so I’m always a 100% a homer. That will never change. Against this team it’s Bills all the way when we play them in December. With that said, I move to Tampa in the early 90’s. I love my second home and they are an NFC team. I resisted even liking them somewhat until Dungy came and started to turn around the popsicles culture. Since we didn’t play the Bucs, I was so happy they humiliated the Chefs in the SB, and I know a lot of the hate is due to. Brady. That. Made it even better for me as I hate a lot more BB than Brady. If the Cheats get sweeped again by us and beaten by the Bucs when they play this year,BB is marginalized and this crap of chess vs. checkers especially when he spent millions and millions in one year with two of the best available TE’s, I’ll be so happy. I want Belicheck to lose every game against the Bills forever, and the Brady proved it was him not BB. So my bottom line is I hope the Bucs lose to us in the season, I’ll probably be there in my MGK jersey, the Cheats lose to the Bucs miserably against the Bucs, the Bucs go 14-3, and so do we, and we crush them in the SB. As Doc Holiday said, my hypocracy only goes so far. I’ll never root against the Bills, but my life is here now and my friends, my kids, etc. loves the Bucs. Beyond that, I’d be happy if the Chargers had a Goodyear as I like that Herbert kid. As far as the Packs, I’d only root for Icebowl, but Rodgers is a ninny.

Bills, bud, you’re interpreting a little different than intended. I expected for people to look for things that were wrong with the schedule. In the past, I’d agree with several assertions. This year my point is simply we have a lot going more our way than not, and playing Brady on a six day rest and even later in the day in a nice climate at that time if yea is really a good thing. Think about it, would you rather we play. Them in Tampa with 115 degree heat index in September at 1 pm. They practice in this crap. It’s like Miami playing us in December. We are far more used to the cold than the fins. You may. Not remember when McNabb with the Iggles played my Tampa team in September in the same index. It was right in national tv him throwing up from heat exhaustion. Besides, for the fans they’ll love a 4 pm Bucs game in December. It will probably be 70 degrees and sunny with the humidity subsiding on the national platform. I’ll take that all day and will probably go with my Kelly jersey on of course. Since we’ve never played in the SB against each other it is. Only once out of 64 games I root against the Bucs. I think you know that game. I’ve been to every one since 1993, and lays in a Bills jersey. -
Lime thanks for sharing as it was an interesting read. As far as the Bills, so many writers are living in the past thinking the Steelers is a tough game. Sure, they have a decent defense, but their O Line was makeshift at best, their running game was terrible last year, and Harris hasn’t played an NFL game yet. We’ll see. Ben has to throw one million times to get to 300 yards a game. The Dolphins won 10 games last year, but Vilanch brought up in another thread, we’re 5-1 against these ars hats. Tua is getting destroyed by us and it won’t be pretty. We’ll be 4-0 after the first quarter! 6-1 at the halfway Mark (due to bye). Go Bills!

Devin Singletary got swoll
machine gun kelly replied to Dablitzkrieg's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Not sure if I’m laughing or throwing up a little bit in my mouth. Nah that’s Belicheck. Everyone else is playing checkers, remember? As far as his muscle, all jokes aside, IDK. Some RB’s as they get older try and lose weight to keep up their speed. One of my favorites Fredex told some national radio outlets, he went the opposite and put on muscle for between the tackles. -
BV, my friend, a little premature, but I’d say two more years from now we’ll be 9-1, and it will be the story of every NFL outlet on Miami week. It’s a nice thought though. I’ll remember and call into MTC that week to get the Pat and Jim to push it for those games. They have a bigger national audience than any other NFL show.

Sounds great Mango, which floor am I placing my sleeping bag?😂🏈. Don’t worry I’ll rarely be there as I’ll be too busy contributing to the smell of urine peeing all over the quarter, and vomiting up the 20 daquiries I’ll be drinking per day. As you know I’m kidding. To the OP’s question, I went to one NO game, but not a Bills one. We were there for a conference and stayed extra for the weekend. It was fun, nice hotels, but stay at least a few block from the quarter as it does stink. One thing I loved about NO, outside of the nightlife and awesome restaurants, is daddada, the coffee. They have the best coffee outside of maybe the Kona stuff when in Maui. It really is a fun city, but old and now a little better as they’ve been working on 5e restoration for 16 years since Katrina. Youll have a great time Virg., and can be a fun destination if you’re not tied to the big family thanksgiving dinner thing. -
I love the schedule. Logic, if you add Tampa will be a National game even if at 4 pm, and the flex with Carolina could end up as a Saturday 4pm, or Saturday night, or Sunday at 4pm which means mostly National coverage, I think we’re fine. BTW- I did read you’re preferring afternoon games so no big deal, and as you know we’re still a small market team with a fan base that is growing. Cities like NO, Dallas, and Pittsburgh as well as others have National followings. Even GB has a National fan base as small of a market as they are, but we are just growing our base after the 17 years of crap. We did back in the early 90’s grow our National fan base. I remember I moved from Buffalo to Tampa five days before the first SB against the Giants. I noticed over the next five years we were getting fans adopting the Bills as their team that were never from anywhere near WNY. Unfortunately, that dwindled after the Titans debacle. It’s going to take time for fans to become diehard Bills fans, but again I’m a glass half full guy as I said in another thread and truly believe we’re going to grow these Bills fans over the next several years.

Honestly, Seasons, I didn’t know either so I’m with you Virg. Not sure yet. It’s possible. If I do, it won’t be with the kids this time. Before last year, we always went to 1 of the 2 September Sunday games with a bunch of family. Just curious, which lot do you guys meet up before the game, Hammers? We normally park in the lot next to Hammers and walk over. Only because the earliest I can get the family out of bed and at the lot is 9:15am or so and Hammers is always full by then. If I fly up alone, I’ll be there at 7am, and no, I’m not drinking out if you’re navel Seasons. I’ll give that illustrious honor to Gugs.

We’re DOOMED, DOOMED I SAY. I was waiting fir someone to come out and say how screwed we are, the NFL has something against us,etc, etc. We also have a Sunday night game against the Chiefs, then 8 days fir a MNF game against the Titans, and then a bye. We also have a TR night game and then 11 days for a MNF against the Cheats. Now prior to the Thanksgiving game which is awesome at least the Colts is at 1 pm the week before. We don’t know after whether the Panthers game which should be a pushover is on Saturday or Sunday probably at 4 pm. I personally am on record I love 1pm games on Sunday, but I know you guys love primetime games. So for you’re sake, I’m happy for you. I was a little bummed we didn’t get more 4pm games beyond Tampa, but maybe the Panthers will be a later game Saturday or Sunday at 4pm. I love Saturday games late as you can sit back on Sunday and just enjoy what’s on. Maybe I’m a glass half full guy, but I see a great schedule for us this year. We are the anchor team for each nationally televised game except maybe the Chiefs. Ok, we’re all going to do this from now until September so my very conservative projection is 12-5, most likely 13-4, and aggressive 14-3. I do think there is an outside shot at 15-2. -
I miss the old days too. For us it was me making breakfast for the little kids (now two of three in college) family catholic mass, my ex making her homemade sauce for macaroni and gravy for Sunday dinner, football all day, family dinner and the boys climbing into bed at 7 pm for prime time with boomer and Jackson. those were great days. ESPN is a mess these days. I can’t even watch anymore. I won’t even watch the pre game on MNF anymore. I’d rather listen to NFL radio or NFLN.

716, nice post and agree. I’m not saying a complete parallel, but this defense at times reminds me of the same path as Dungy had with the Bucs. So much of the comments about hats to the ball, staying in you’re lane, etc was exactly what I used to hear done here in Tampa. Dungy built a great defense down here with Monte Kiffin.

Putin, I believe that committee can place him on the exempt list for an entire year. I’m not sure so wait and one of the guys with too much time on his hands can look it up somewhere. I’m trying to remember the last guy that went on that list. It was for a long time if memory serves. My reasoning why it could be a year is I don’t see these suits and investigation getting resolved anytime soon. Now that there are signs the Texans are giving hints they are distancing themselves from Watson. I was listening to the comments from Kirwan yesterday on MTC as he was mentioning how silly the Texans comments were how high they were on their third round QB pick. His point was this young inexperienced QB from not a big time program who’s not even been on a practice field yet is a stretch. He said something like “let’s see him just get on the field” as they don’t really know what they have with the draft pick.
