  1. Yes. The Seahawks and Carroll are not just going to let this happen to them and like Dungy said get an apology letter the next day. Expect their own substitution wrinkles on Defense/Offense or a lot of injured players. I would, and dare Goodell to play favoritism towards the Pats.
  2. That would be interesting. The Pats could claim a conspiracy where the ball boy or someone else deflated the balls then alert the other team who naturally would report it to the officials. The Pats would cry a setup took place and could blame it on any Pat hater in the world and then they would be blameless. The NFL would then have to hire "a high profile investigator" to figure out the mystery but it would never be solved and the Pats get off free and clear.
  3. I agree. I think half the problem with EJ was poor coaching under M/H, and not just with EJ but also with the whole offense. Poor O line play, poor run game, unimaginative play calling all impact one another. Hopefully with better coaching and nonQB offensive play, it would make EJ's performance better.
  4. I would love to hear his explanation on why our O-line regressed so badly.
  5. My thoughts exactly, don't like the coaches and many of the players on each team. If I had to pick a winner it would be the Seahawks, the lesser of two evils.
  6. The D will be fine, he will adjust his schemes to the players we have.
  7. The article is really stating the obvious. The franchise quarterback is your ace in the hole, as long as you have one you are in contention to win it all year after year regardless of the rest of your team. (Patriots-Brady, Manning -colts/broncos, Roth.-steelers) A great defense alone can win a SB occasionally but great defenses require more players and is harder to maintain yearly. So I agree if you have a choice between a franchise quarterback vs a great D you take the QB.
  8. Personally I don't really care how well a coach can address the public or give an interview. 99% of the time it's just coachspeak anyway and some of the worst interviewers are the best coaches (Belichick) . It's what he does in the locker room and in the games that matters. Just Win Baby!
  9. I'm not too worried about the D. Whatever else you think about him, Rex knows defense well. He will come up with a scheme that he likes and will be good fit for the players we have now. The O I am not sure about.
  10. I really liked Schwartz but his leaving was inevitable once he didn't get the HC job. I guess his leaving is better now than later and the D will probably still be very good under Rex. The other side of the ball remains the big problem.
  11. The only way I like this move is if the FO had an idea of what Schwartz is thinking. If they know Schwartz would be gone after a year or be very unhappy staying another year as DC then it makes sense to hire Rex with the potential of changing the D and or losing Schwartz now or after a year.
  12. Farewell Smiths.....I was happy in the haze of a drunken hour but heaven knows I'm miserable now.
