yes. they did well in FA and the draft. I think Geno will play better this year. we split the series.

I think this is the year things start to change. Both the bills and the jets really helped themselves in the draft and free agency and will be better on both sides of the ball. Both will have young qbs with a year of experience and the expectation to get better. The pats, imo ,did not have a great draft and besides revis, who may only be with them a year, did nothing in FA. Brady, as good as he's been will not got better but will decline as age takes him. I expect both the bills and jets and maybe the dolphins to at least win 1 game each against the pats this year and the pats doing no better then 10-6. Next year things will get worse and they go 8-8. Just my opinion.

I think the bills did NOT pay to much. According to the BILLS reasoning Watkins was their #1 rated player on the board and was worth the #1 pick this year. To get the #1 pick Houston wanted either a first- and second-round pick in this year’s draft and another first-round pick in 2015, or three #1's - depending on who you listened to. So to me, to give up a 1st and 3rd next year is worth it.

I say tag him and try to trade him for value. However if we are not able to trade him we will still have his services for another year. He is one of the best safeties in the league and and his play may help us to reach the playoffs this year. It will also give us another year to look for his replacement.

I agree with many of you that the main two reasons why the defense has underachieved so far is that Wanny has been outcoached and the defense lacks a kick ass attitude - "mental toughness" as Chan puts it. Wanny has to make adjustments or get out and the defense desperately needs an IN YOUR FACE guy on defense who won't put up with complacency and going through the motions when things get tough. Ever see Ray Lewis on the sidelines in player’s faces when he's pissed off. There is no one on our defense like this. K. Williams tries but he is too much of a nice guy. M. Williams is a lead by example guy. Dareus is too young/quiet. We had a guy like this -Merriman who had the kick ass attitude, who demanded respect and gave the veteran presence in the locker room. I believe Wanny and Chan made a mistake letting him go even if he lost a step. Hell the guy who replaced him, Kyle Moore doesn’t even suit up.

Agree with Mike, it's not time to worry yet. Would not over analyze the game. It's preseason and there's gotta be very little game planning. It's mostly about looking at individual players so they can set the roster. Remember preseason scores and records mean nothing.
