Oh yeah I forgot about the fight. I know some folks were also taking advantage of the gorgeous late summer weather and having cookouts too, so that's probably part of it as well. Also this is usually the "still hopeful" time of year. After the drubbing last week maybe some of that optimism has waned and it's thinning the normally enthusiastic Saturday night crowd.

Any of you miscreants out near the stadium tonight? The Mrs. and I usually do some night before bar crawling at BTI, Kettle's, O'Neils, etc. It's generally a fun atmosphere. Seems a little dead tonight though, especially for a home opener with such nice weather.

It's also a perfectly racist trope that just won't seem to die. Little known fact: there aren't any people on record named "La-A".

If my company is making me spend a weekend on the road, they’re paying for all the Ubers I feel like taking. ;)

Since "Bills Backers in ..." threads seem to be de rigueur today, I'm starting on as well. ? I'm gonna be in Rego Park (Queens) this weekend and I need a place with fellow Bills fans to watch. I've heard McFaddens is fun, and Kelly's next door has a good Bills crowd too, but not sure if I feel like going into Manhattan. Anyone aware of good spots in Queens or maybe even Bronx/Brooklyn? Is McFaddens worth the drive?

Clayton, NY 1995. Microburst rolled through. Tore trees apart and the lightning was so intense that it looked almost like daylight at 3AM. It looked more akin to someone occasionally flipping a light switch off intermittently than it did flashes of light. I doubt I'll ever experience anything like that again.

Most likely. I hate burning a day off for a game that we'll probably lose (Cheatriots + primetime = loss) but the atmosphere will be insane.
